Its time to Unilocal again. Solar City is 100% a scam. Do not get into a lease or PPA with solar city. You will never save a dime, and in most cases you will pay more. The old addage applies here. If its too good to be true then its a scam. I won’t go into details, but in a nutshell. PPa means you pay for what you produce, not what you use. Solar city will load your roof with panels and you will foot the bill every month. That is what a ppa is. If they sell you a sack of lies in a lease(your other option). They will put too few panels and you will pay both solar city and PGE. If the sun and the moon align, you could very well save $ 10 a month, but trust me that is a rare occasion. No one I have ever talked to has saved what they were promised. The ONLY reason that they have star ratings here is that they pay to have negs removed and the positives are SC Planted reviews. We shall see how long it lasts this time. My last 2 were removed within a week. Honestly folks this is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. They only sell snake oil, and the dreams of its magic properties. If you really want to see the truth go to the consumer affairs site, the bbb site or just google solar city scam.

We’re very satisfied with our decision to go with SolarCity over the other companies we talked to. They were all professionals and did a wonderful job, from the sales guy to the installers to customer support. We feel very good about going Solar and using clean energy instead of PG&E. We’ve been recommending them to all our neighbors and friends.

Just got a $ 10PG&E bill in the mail! Very happy with my decision to go with SolarCity. Very professional the whole way through. Definitely a no-brainer.

Just don’t do it, at least not with them! My system has been down for eight weeks!!! They sure had the parts they needed to put it up. But now none to fix it??? My part is «in the mail». Now to see that they knew that the inverter they installed was faulty!!! If they knew it then why install it? If they knew it then why not have replacements ready to go?

Extremely unimpressed. Spent 3 hours at my house and spent more time talking about how awesome Elon Musk was than actually explaining the benefits and process of going solar. Representative said he’d been with them for many months, but seemed as though it was his first week. Told him I would be getting quotes from other companies as well, he immediately started bashing on every other company in town he could think of. Very unprofessional.

It was a lucky day when we met Jeremy Kunkle of SolarCity. After his presentation of Solar City’s plan, we were hooked and signed up immediately. Jeremy’s attention to detail through out the process was truly professional. Thanks Jeremy.

Jeremy and his team were very easy and pleasant to work with. The initial presentation at our home was clear and simple. I was impressed that there were no surprise costs or loans that the two other solar companies pointed out during their presentations before we met with Jeremy. The installation was done quickly and the technicians were nice and very careful to clean up when they were done. We are very happy that we went went with Solar City and the system is operating perfectly.

I have no idea how well SolarCitys solar works… what I DO know is that I’ve made appointments for them to come out on two separate occasions, and they never showed up, or even called to let me know they wouldn’t be coming.
