I like this place. Good sports bar vibe in there, lots of TVs. The sandwiches were really good. Had the pulled pork and the twice fried brisket or whatever it was. Lots of sauces and the spicy fries. Plenty of beers to choose from.

Service a 2. Yes they were busy for the Warriors game, but they knew it was on and should’ve prepared. We had about 8 different people slowly and haphazardly serving our table. Weird. Food 2. We had the tater tots with fake cheese, sour cream and bacon jelly. GETRID of that bacon jelly! Yuck. Just put crumbled bacon. Prices 1. Everything is expensive. Beer is $ 4 on Sunday – so 5 stars for that.

The food was excellent! Beer was great!!! Loved having some dope BBQ in CA! My pleasurable experience started with great hostess service from Rebecca! She was enthusiastic and happy! I knew I was in the right place the minute I walked in! Also, my server was very nice and made sure my stay was enjoyable! Overall, fantastic experience! Definitely coming back!!! :)

This is my favorite bbq restaurant, hands down. I hate going downtown, but since they are just across the street from the parking garage, they are easy to access. I love their pulled pork and their burnt ends. It is definitely worth the trip. My favorite sides = the jalapeño grits and the corn bread. Simply amazing food and friendly service.

Great cocktails(the lemonade is refershing), appetizers(delish brussels sprouts, i ordered a side of ranch for dipping), sides(yummy cheesy grits and wild animal style french fries). The brisket slider is quite delish. Sample all of their brand name Sauced BBQ dippings. We love and brought home the Hot Tin Roof habanero kind, and the sweet and tangy Pig Candy. Service is warm and friendly. Totally recommended to have a great gastropub experience in the South Co. I would love to own one of those piggy Sauced t-shirts. I love piggies! I love the Country music but just a tad blaring. Perfect first time visit but will NOT be my last.

First experienced Sauced at the Great Petaluma Chili Cook-off this year. They won my vote for best meat chili — filled with chunks of smoky meat. Excellent service. Even server not assigned to my table stopped by to ask if I needed anything. Caddy filled with napkins and various BBQ sauces placed on table. So no need to flag down server for more napkins and fun to mix up your own sauce creation. Bet the mustard BBQ sauce would be killer on burger or hotdog. Menu has some very unique combos. A bit pricy: my lunch bill for one meat plus two sides and a pint was $ 30 including tip & tax. Located inside a complex of several businesses across from Walnut Park. Nice outdoor eating area facing the inner courtyard. Will be back.

Good ambiance but when I ordered the brisket the waiter took my order then 15 minutes later told me they were out @8:00pm but had burnt ends still. How do you run out of your main meat on a Saturday night at 8pm So I ordered the burnt ends instead and twenty minutes later they told me they were out of that as well. The manager came to the table and apologized and proceeded to order us a free appetizer(not our choice) Of fried pickles. And had to completely retake our order. After all this still didn’t have drinks till the second order was taken. Half the table doesn’t even like pickles WTF. Over all pretty bad service.

If you’re looking for a great tasting no-frills BBQ meal in Petaluma, this is the place. They feature a large dining room with a large«family table» style seating as well as tall table bar-type seats(which we used). Food was great quality, good flavor and featured a friendly staff. I would probably go there again. We had a little trouble finding the place and better signage would help them, but the place was packed on a Saturday night. All around Thumbs Up!!!

Sauced is expensive for a BBQ. I would be willing to pay the extra price for quality ingredients(like 4505 Burgers and BBQ in the city), but the food didn’t come close to expectations, especially based on price. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered ribs, Hillbilly Philly, sour apple slaw and sweet potato casserole. The ribs were dry(which happens when business is slow) and didn’t have much flavor. Also, they seemed like they just weren’t cooked right either. I tried 3 of the sauces and all were too sweet. The hillbilly philly was not good. It was sweet and tasted like it had sub-par ingredients, which is probably why they add more sugar, to cover up the average tasting ingredients. The apple slaw and casserole were too sweet and lacked any personality. I was extremely disappointed in Sauced, but based on their commercials, my expectations should have been low to begin with. If I could give it 0 stars for the quality of food, I would. With the quality of restaurants we have in Petaluma, it’s sad to see a chain style restaurant coming in. I do give 4.5 stars to the staff. The hostess, who took my order, and the bartender were friendly and professional. From my own experience, Sauced does a good job hiring and training. However, because the food was so expensive and tasted like mediocre chain food, I will not go back. There is better BBQ in Petaluma at a more reasonable price.

When one wants to write a good Unilocal review, sometimes extra effort is needed. Sometimes… you order 2 orders of 3 meat plates to justify«tasting hecka» in one sitting. For me, today was that day. Oh was it ever. I have never been to Sauced, but happened to be in the area and my friend suggested that we did. Me, having not had BBQ since sometime last summer, was SODOWN for some BBQ. On an unusually warm winter day, we made our way over. Décor in here is very nice. Modern gastropub-ish feel inside with a hint of sports bar. I like it. It’s like… what Applebee’s should be, if that makes a lick of sense. Maybe it doesn’t. Sorry, I take that back. Applebee’s should never be mentioned in a good food spot’s review. I’m sorry Sauced. Ah, if only Unilocal reviews could be redacted. Moving along, we were greeted by a friendly host and promptly seated. Even asked what kind of table we preffered. Nice touch. As we sat down, we were handed menus. Since I haven’t had BBQ in a long time, I didn’t know what to get so. So I did the thing that made the most sense… I ordered 23 meat plates. Now, let me allay you fears, I did not say 23 meat plates. As sure as an awesome thing that would be, I think I’d give the coroner a heart attack, which would be ironic if you think about it. But no, I ordered A THREEMEATPLATE, TWOOFTHEM. Sorry, I don’t mean to shout, but I need to be as clear as possible here. Yes, that’s a lot of food. Never stop going to the gym, kids. I chose the following: ribs, brisket, pulled pork x 2, burnt ends, and the pork sausage with corn bread, coleslaw, seasoned fries, and sweet potato casserole as sides. Can a human eat all that food. Yes I did. Now, I thought the food might not be all that great, considering that I got a slight hint of «chain restaurant», but I was wrong. It was all good. The meats were all consistently juicy and oh so flavorful. Sauces made them even better, though they’d be fine without them. Side dishes were all on point. I must saw, especially the coleslaw. Restaurant coleslaw is sometimes way too nuts with mayo or sweetness or both, but this was just right. Refreshing even. Only side that was somewhat not that great to me was the sweet potato casserole as it was pretty sweet, bordering on dessert status. All in all though, I enjoyed the place quite a bit and I will be returning if I am in the area. High recommended to anyone else for that matter. Slightly pricey, but what BBQ joint isn’t? Nature of the slow-roasted beast. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a food coma.

We came here a few weeks after it opened and then in August. Both times the place was really loud & noisy, service was very slow and the food was ok. Also the prices are high. Too bad Petaluma does not have a good BBQ place. I see Dickey’s BBQ is coming to town soon. Hope that’s good or we will drive to Corte Madera to the Pig In a Pickle. After reading about the 20% added for the tipping I won’t be coming here again. Oh and Dickey’s opened today! If you on line order 1⁄21 — 1⁄24 you could win 1 year of BBQ. Guess where we are eating tonight :-)

FINALLY tried Sauced this past weekend. Let me start by saying that yes, they have a new tipping policy. Other than saying that this is not a new trend and certainly not invented by Sauced… I still don’t think I like the practice of automatic tipping, but I’m not going to hold that against them. So let’s talk about the food… because it is worth talking about. We were a group of 4 on a Sunday evening/Holiday weekend and it was busy in there. We made a reservation and were seated promptly when we arrived. The new tipping policy was mentioned to us twice before ordering which I appreciated. Our waiter was cool and very helpful, he made some suggestions and was patient with taking our order. There are lots of choices and combinations to choose from, it was kind of hard to choose. Our orders included baby back ribs, brisket, and some chili-mac. For sides, we had beans, squash casserole, and corn bread. The brisket was fork tender and had a perfect smoke ring on it. The ribs were cooked perfectly and there are 4 or 5 sauces to try with the ribs. very tasty. The beans were good and the squash casserole had a nice toasted bread topping to it. The very large piece of corn bread was yummy! I saw an order of the nachos go by and I think I would order those next time. The place is big, so it can be noisy in there. But overall, I enjoyed my meal(as did the rest of the table) and would definitely go back.

We were first introduced to Sauced BBQ& Spirits in Livermore, thanks to Unilocal for bringing us out there for a comedy show at Bankhead Theater. I was ecstatic to find out they were opening a second location in Petaluma. After another fun Unilocal event in Sonoma, we rolled up to this beautiful side of Petaluma to have some BBQ. I already knew what I was going to get, but I glanced at the menu and thought, why not try something different? Instead, I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was mmm… mmm…good! It did not disappoint. Hubby ordered the BBQ rib platter, and it was finger lickin’ good! Let’s not forget dessert — YUM! However, during our dining experience, there was an obnoxious patron in the middle of the restaurant hollering at the TV screen watching a game. He was beyond offensive, and a family next to us had an autistic boy in tears over his distastefulness. Other patrons have asked this unpleasant guy to keep it down, he refused, and his woman sure wasn’t going to stop him. Others left the restaurant, couldn’t enjoy a good meal. I thought I was on an episode of «What Would You Do», and John Quiñones would be hiding around the corner — no such luck. I’m not one to tolerate any kind of repulsive behavior; therefore, I asked the manager to say something to the annoying patron. The Manager of the Day(didn’t give his name) handled the situation tactfully, and the dreadful patron finally left. The entire restaurant almost gave a round of applause. The autistic boy stopped crying and ate his food. A not-so-happy meal turned out to be a memorable one.

Props for having burnt ends at all. Sauces should be on the side as they are not helping the meat. Cheese grits great but way too salty. Hush puppies no hint of sharp cheddar or jalapeño. Just sweet, more of a dessert. Baked beans ok. Pulled pork over done, but the best in the area sadly. Ok, it’s the next morning and my relationship with the commode feels like I just got home from Mexico.Yikes. And that’s with leaving literally a pound of meat unfinished on my plate. 2 Meat Combo, $ 22.

I have been to Sauced BBQ in Livermore. So when I found out there is a Sauced BBQ in Petaluma I had to try it out. I rolled there in my Whip Black Beauty. I was able to park right in front. I rolled into Sauced and was greeted and seated. I perused the Menu and ordered a Rack of St Louis Ribs, Mac and Cheese and Cheese Grits . My Server was pretty good and fast; I had my Ribs and Sides 15 minutes later. My Rack of Ribs was pretty good sized. Luckily I had my Blade with me so I sectioned my Ribs. They were pretty Tender and Tasty. I used a Variety of BBQ Sauces . The Cheesy Grits were very tasty as was the Mac and Cheese. They have a ton of LCD TVs to watch Sporting events . I Perused the Dessert Menu and ordered the Peanut Butter Pie . It was Decadently Yummy, I paid by Credit Card and rolled out.

This place WILLNOT cook your burger Medium. All burgers are cooked WELLDONE. I beg and pleaded when I asked for my burger to be cooked medium with a little pink in the middle. But they will not do it. I wanted to 5 star. But I docked 2 stars for 2 reasons. The burger being one of them. And the other star was docked for the super slow and lack of serive. We went and had lunch there for the first time on a Sunday at 11am. There wasn’t a ton of people. And it took 40 mins for Nachos & a burger to come out. We were sat at our table and were forgotten about. Tons of employees busy staring at their phones. Other than that, the food was alright. I definitely wouldn’t order the burger again since my only option was well done.

This Southern Girl is happy happy! Finally a great BBQ joint in Sonoma! You must try the«Burnt Ends» Redneck Nachos. I think I have an addiction. I have been twice this week to get them. I may need help. Everything I’ve tried here is amazing. The sausage on the combo plate is yummmy! The stuffed sweet potato is a beast & worth trying! The stuffed jalapeños are some of the best I’ve had as well. Love a place that serves sweet tea & also cheese grits!!! I didn’t care much for the cornbread, but I won’t let that stop my return, obviously. They were also sold out of the banana puddin’ on both occasions I was there. I’ve heard rumours the smoked turkey sandwich is amazing, so alas I must return to try it(and nachos)… Please make more puddin!
