Roberta Ahrens Studio

Roberta has done several artistic projects for me at my skincare salon and I have the utmost respect and gratitude for the beautiful work that she does. Every day that I walk in to my studio I get to enjoy her talents. Her work ethic and artistic skill are exemplary.

We love Roberta’s artwork… she is a fabulous, talented artist. Her Poppy series uses bold, bright colors that will brighten up any wall. We get lots of compliments of her framed prints… Thanks Roberta!

I am a curator and art consultant and have worked with Roberta Ahrens for over 10 years. I have placed her work in corporate, commercial and private homes as well as gallery exhibitions. Her work is stunning and well received — she is a true master at what she does.
Having worked with hundreds of artists around the country, it can be challenging but Roberta has the rare quality of also being a great business person. She is professional and has excellent follow-​up skills. If she says she’s going to do something, it will be done right and on time. Roberta has strong communication skills both written and verbal.
And lastly, on a personal note, Roberta is a charming, kind and engaging woman — fun to work with and she always has a twinkle in her eye.
I highly recommend Roberta Ahrens for both her fine arts painting and her faux painting business. The sheer quantity of large jobs she has done over her career speaks for itself.

Historical Landmark #501 building in Sonoma, Ca. Roberta helped us in creating an old world feel to the interior Adobe walls of our establishment; Sunflower Caffé. We then commissioned her to create 5 beautiful cracked linen Sunflower tapestries that currently are displayed in the parlor room. We hired Roberta to paint the switch plates and outlets in our remodeled kitchen. The goal was for the outlets to camouflage with the limestone backsplash. Roberta offered to either paint the outlet and switch plates a solid color or to match the grout lines of the hexagon tile. Being an artist myself, I felt the solid color would look stellar and chose that. She also painted switch plates on cabinets to match the wood. Roberta completed the job in just a few hours. She was very protective of our new counter surfaces, considerate of our time and a perfectionist in mixing the perfect hue for the paint. And she cleaned up after herself! We could not be happier with the results or Roberta’s work.

I was absolutely shocked when I read Joseph’s negative review on Roberta Ahrens. His description of her did not have an ounce of truth. I firmly believe that his ulterior motive was to get his money back despite her beautiful work. Apparently he is that type of person to stoop that low at the expense of attempting to ruin the reputation of an outstanding artist and sincere person. One needs to assess the situation based on the source of information. Joseph appears to have some serious mental problems with which he can’t cope.
We are so impressed with Roberta’s unique art work and her beautiful disposition. She created a fabulous mural on the interior of an elevator hoist way about four years ago which is still receiving fantastic compliments. She is very accommodating and a total delight with whom to work. We feel very privileged to have Roberta’s friendship! I recommend her very highly! :-))

Roberta has done several projects for us.. the first was a mural of a vineyard on my 100 yr old shed. Sitting on my deck, I feel like I’m in Italy looking at it! She also painted a cape cod like scene in my bathroom and it is truly the most peaceful room in the house now. She has a skilled eye for color and texture and can create anything you can imagine. She is also a person of high integrity and energy, and very easy to work with, incorporating what the client’s wish are with her artist’s view. I would recommend her for any project, big or small!

We hired Roberta to match a faux finish on kitchen cabinets, re decorate a fireplace and other work.
She did a good job on the fireplace and a pretty nice job on the kitchen cabinets, until she had some personal problem of some kind. The job in the kitchen got abandoned, parts were not finished and the varnish finish coat was sloppy and had large missed areas that were not covered.
A spice cabinet in the kitchen that was to match the main cabinets did not match very well and had a whitewash effect that made it look different. Roberta told me I didn’t know anything about art and would not change it because she liked it the way it was.
We paid our bills promptly and when he would not come back to clean up the missed spots she refused to return our «deposit“of $ 2000. Wet old her to deduct the $ 200 we owed her and return the balance and she then made up a bogus bill for «consulting» –and travel time and said we were even,
Do not give Roberta a deposit without a written agreement of some kind or she will rip you off like she did to us,
We had to pay another person to finish her work. We found another artist who is much better in quality, is honest and is a much more talented artist.
We do not recommend this artist mostly because she is hard to work with, does not keep her word, has too many personal problems that interfere with the work we are paying for AND she cannot be trusted with a deposit. I would sue her for the money but she doesn’t have any money to get back.
The best thing to do is avoid her or you will get ripped off,
