I fell in love with this store from the first time that I saw it. It’s a wonderful little shop with a special collection of quaint treasures and clothing for women and children. It’s a little pricey, but the quality is sturdy and handmade so you know that a lot of love and time went into each piece– these are items you’ll want to «splurge» on but that will last forever… truly one of a kind. They also had markdowns on several of the items here as well. I can’t wait to revisit this shop when I return to the west coast.

I fell into the enchanting Maude yesterday and I’m blissing. I bought a Jess Brown work shirt (inspired by one her father had) and I adore it. It’s so charming inside that I didn’t want to leave. I looked at everything 5 times!
Half the store is children’s & the other half is for women. And there are also the highly collectible dolls which I’d read about. I’m hoping that they expand the women’s offerings.
This shop is a true destination.

Enchanting, each time I visit. No visit the same. There is always something new to discover and get lost in wonderment with. If you have children or don’t, this place is for anyone who at least has a child and sense of wonderment within. True artists and women with great appreciations for all things nice work and run this shoppe. They find fabulous treasures and also create items that include clothing, toys, and all sorts of treasures for dolls, children, and adults. Its timeless and wonderous and something that should always exist somewhere.

This wonderful little children’s store is filled with treasures. It’s one of those places to stop in just to browse, but I cannot imagine one rarely leaves empty handed.
Every article of clothing is heirloom quality and timeless fashion. Women can also find some gifts for themselves here as well. The toys and rare finds truly have been handed down as the majority of them are antiques.
The great news is that this 5 star store is moving into a better location right across the street on Kentucky. If you are already familiar with Maude, you’ll be thrilled to know that there will be no more stairs to climb!

Maude is like stepping into a Parisian children’s shop in le Marais. It’s charming and small on the second floor of an old building. You climb up the wooden steps to their shop which is decorated with all of their clever products and whimsical artwork. I bought a blue pin-​striped dress by Dagmar Daley and a vintage Chinese tea set for my daughter. They also offer cool art exhibitions and happenings in their space with artists like Pheobe Washer and Heidi Iverson.
