Hydrex Pest Control

Wow… the reviews look like the typical fake ones I’ve been seeing this happen to small companies in/​around Marin that aren’t terribly social media savvy. This one will hopefully correct for the fake reviews.
In a nutshell, I used Hydrex from 2010 through 2012 and they were excellent. I only stopped using them because I moved to Bennett Valley (outside their service area). So, I recently engaged them again (August 2015) when I returned to Marin. And nothing changed from before. Same story. They have excellent service, thoughtful employees, etc.
Highly recommended.

scam artists, ripping off 80 yr old women, go anywhere but here… watch out for company’s that make u sign big contracts and don’t go over the details with you. this company is supposed to be an expert in rodent removal, after u sign, they figure your the expert now. poor mom was totally suckered by this company, at 80 yrs old she trusted them do a what they said and provide a complete service. what they did was get her to sign the contract without explaining anything about it, dropped some traps and never called us again… we thought since they were the experts and only they know what they put under the house that they would be taking care of it… not the case, after they drop traps then you become the expert as to when they are supposed to check them… after months of not hearing from them at all… we called only to have their secretary mindlessly and without care tell us our contract was now up!!! this company gives even a worse name to big business in petaluma. they do not care at all. dont sign any contract with them, go anywhere but hydrex!!! 1,000 dollars stolen from my mom. BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU HERE WE COME.
WHATEVER THIS COMPANY DOES I HOPE IT KEEPS THE SECRETARY… SHE IS THE WORST POSSIBLE PERSON THEY CAN HAVE AND WILL ENSURE THEM GOING OUT OF BUSINESS.

I had an appointment from 11 – 12:00 today. I called Petaluma Hydrex to let them know I had an emergency in San Francisco this morning and I was going to be late. The dispatch woman was very unfriendly. I spoke to the technician and he said it was fine that I was late at he would still be able to come by later. I was at my home by 11:35. The technian (who was very kind) said he would be over in 15 min. I waited. Then I received a call at 12:03 from the dispatch saying they could not service my home because I was late. Also, they were billing me for $ 95.00 for a late fee. I Cannot believe this. I am literally in tears. There Must be extenuating circumstances to which your company can understand and wave the $ 95.00 fee and to recover my business for months/​years to come. I am so upset and I will have to let anyone who wants to deal with Petaluma Hydrex to take their business elsewhere. Very unfriendly and unprofessional. (Except for the man himself who was sent to my house and who completely understood my emergency situation)

well first bad experience was when the technician sprayed my vegetables with poison and I had to destroy the plants. Gave them another chance when today the same technician claimed he had showed at my house for service and rang the doorbell and no one answered. Lets start with the fact that I do not have a doorbell. I phoned the office and they claimed that he would not lie– insinuating that I was. He then returned furious and threathened to cancel my service I asked him to leave and phoned the office again and requested a different technician come out– no one phoned back or came for the scheduled appointment. Terrible customer service and incompetant employees. Don’t knoww how they stay in business.

How are they still in business! I’ll start with explicit instructions not to use poison as we have a small dog and small children — guess what they used — poison. Our landlord set up the service, but when she refused to pay the full bill because they added a bunch of additional charges — Hydrex takes us to collections and told us to pay or they will just ruin our credit report. I will never even consider using them again. And lastly — they didn’t even correct the rodent problem. Stay away.
