Norky’s Dos Restaurant

I’ve been going here for years and ALWAYS receive the worst service. The servers are so disrespectful and should all be fired. The food is delicious but my last experience was terrible. Small portions and rude service. I rather order delivery from them. The delivery guy is a sweetheart.

Food is good but the service received from the cashier terrible!!!
She makes you feel like you are begging for food instead of the client that you are paying for the food very rude and nasty actitude
I will never return to this restaurant.

Very delicious traditional Peruvian food. Not fancy place but worth visiting if you craving Peruvian taste. Will be back!

This place that I tried for the first time wasn’t so bad. The food was HOT which is to be excepted considering the place had just started there dinner hour (5:00).
Their portion is another story it was HUGE. I didn’t expect that large amount of food to come in a take out order but kudos to them on trying to keep first time customers.
There hot sauce is a little bland when you consider that to Peruvians hot sauce is paramount and is part of the table settings on most Peruvian restaurant from here to Lima.
To sum it up YES I will try this place again and maybe even sit down with my BFF who might I add is Peruvian and is a harsh critique when it comes to food that’s why I drag her along to new places.
Next post will be on there ceviche mixto then we can make recommendations on wether to stay or go.

Plenty of food for not so much $$$
it’s small and cramped and definitely a spot for Spanish speaking folk. A hole in the wall that is worth a once in a while visit.
Really a 3.5 star review if I could.

This place should change its name from Norky’s. It’s giving the original Peruvian brand a bad name. If anyone thinks this is Peruvian chicken, you are NOT Peruvian. This chicken at best might beat out Boston Market chicken. Chicharron de Calamar was disastrous. I’ve had this plate in many places including Peru, and it has always been served with at least Tartar Sauce. These non-​Peruvian waitresses looked at me like I was nuts when I asked for some tartar sauce. I would not recommend this place at all.

I love this place, awesome food and great service! Its a small spot but well worth it.

We don’t live anywhere near Perth Amboy, but we wanted to go here out of a curiosity about the name Norky’s, which is the same as a chain of criollo restaurants in Lima.
I knew it couldn’t be the same chain as the Lima restaurants, but I was interested in seeing if they could be at all similar.
Norky’s in Perth Amboy has more ceviche than Norky’s in Lima, which is a good thing depending on how much you like ceviche.
The presentation and quality of the food are excellent. The prices are half the price of what they would be at fancy, fake Peruvian restaurants in places like Montclair. Service was attentive (it has to be, it’s a small restaurant).
Good Peruvian food is abundant in NJ, so I can’t give this place 5 stars, but if you are near Perth Amboy I recommend giving Norky’s a try.

I called in for pick up of 3 orders of calamari and chicken and told them I’ll pick it up at 4. When I got there, nothing was cooked so they told me to wait. I was there almost half an hour. As soon they said the food was ready, they only cooked 1 order of the calamari. Dont call them to order because I dont think they understand english, well unless you speak spanish. Its better if you just go there and order

My father took me here for a late lunch/​early dinner. Gotta admit that I was psyched for comida Peruana! I ordered Papa de la Huancaina, Anticuchos, y Arroz Chaufa Especial. Es muy rico y perfecto! Service was great and the staff was attentive to us. I’ll definitely come back again! Gracias a todos!

The food is excellent. The only reason why I don’t rate it a 5 is because their service has to be upgraded.
Don’t let the sucky service deter you though. If your hungry this place will surely fill your appetite. Great food great portions. Great Latin American food
