I had Curry Goat for the first time ever, it was absolutely delicious! Jerk Chicken was very good as well… Definitely going back for more!!!

Food is tasty and fresh and prices are reasonable. Yes the place could use an upgrade, but that’s okay when the food is good.

Long wait to place and then receive my order when there were people behind the register. They were in the middle of having a birthday party in the back. I purchased the oxtail meal and it was not to my liking. It was a little tasteless and I have definitely had better. If you are interested in eating in the dining part of the restaurant, try again. That doesn’t seem to happen on a Saturday evening which I thought would be the obvious night to have that section open. Anyway maybe I went on a bad night but I did not like this restaurant and would not return.

I had the oxtails and it was absolutely horrible. The lady that handled me at check out was very rude and who only accepts cash when picking up an order?! Mobay won’t get another dime from me.

Excellent Jamaican food and definately the best in the area! We had the Jerk chicken, curry shrimp and their own sweet and saucy chicken and a beef patty. Everything was made to order, very fresh and high quality ingredients. We have found a new«home» in the area!!! Mobay is a must try!!!

I ordered a stew Chicken, and rice and peas. it was ok. Over the phone the lady told me they had $ 10, and $ 12 dollar meal prices. Once i got a copy of he menu i saw that they had a $ 6 express small; which would have a better for a lunch size proton for me. The service was solid, the food is average and I would go back again.

I come here often and I always order the oxtails or the jerk chicken. Love the food here but my only complaints would be the prices and the amount of rice that is served with a dinner. For the price paid I would expect there to be more of a balance between the meat and /rice. If I’m paying $ 13 for oxtails I do not expect 80% of the dish to be rice.

Beef pattie and coco bread. Yum. That’s the #1 reason to go to this place! But, if you’d like to purchase a very well priced meal for lunch or dinner, such as stewed chicken, oxtails, or curry chicken, that’s a sure bet as well! While I don’t purchase any Caribbean merchandise or foods other than those that are already prepared, they do have a nice selection of a variety of items. Some of these include Hardough bread, baked goods, CD’s, Jamaican apparel like hats, belts, rings and medallions, and incense! There’s a dine-in portion of the restaurant, but I don’t ever see anyone there! Take out is the way to go!

Have been buying patties and Jamaican dishes from this place for years. I am a Jamican. I stopped buying the dishes because invariably they were just old food reheated perhaps in the mircowave and were not freshly cooked. Today I bought some beef patties. They were horrible. Obviously not fresh and kept in the warmer overnight. The crust consequently was very hard and the overflowing filling was even burnt onto the crust at the edges. They were tasteless

I only got a beef patty because I was having a craving, so yes, I drove all the way to Perth Amboy on my way home. It tastes good, not too spicy(I was a little worried) and the people were pretty friendly. Street parking. There’s a take-out section and a dine-in restaurant. Next time I’ll have to try the restaurant. They also serve harddough bread(a plus!).

I have only been to the take out counter of Mobay. All types of Jamaican products line the shelves in the small store area, very interesting things to check out and very friendly staff. I ordered Ox Tail and my friend had Spicy Jerk Chicken. They were served over beans and rice with stewed sweet bananas and sauteed cabbage and vegetables on the side. The food had alot of flavor and was a good size portion for the price. We brought our take out down to the waterfront and ate in the moonlight. It was a perfect date. Before we got the food we had drinks at the Riverside Sports Bar next door which had a really cool huge old fashioned multi colored neon jukebox blasting awesome mexican music– we heard they have dance parties on fri and sat nites.
