Costas Snack Bar

I was in search of another place for hot dogs (which is gone) and out of the corner of my eye I saw this place which is in the municipal parking lot.
When I saw the name ‘Costa’s’, it was a good start. I crept up in my ride and noticed the menu had chili dogs.
I parked at the curb and order 2 chili dogs and a soda. ($ 5)
The dogs were Sabretts. They seemed to be the 10/​1lb, skinny ones.
Boiled then griddled. I like that. The chili had a slight spice and was tasty.
Kudos for Costas!

These are an Amboy staple! Everyone knows about the burgers-​by-​the-​train-​station. They have done them exactly the same since I can remember — some seasoning and ketchup. Deceptively simple and amazing.

This place has the most excellent tiny cheeseburgers. You will want to get at least two of these babies with everything, which includes a nice slice of yellow kraft like cheese, onions and ketchup. If you get the burgers to go they will be wrapped up neat in wax paper, and are fun to unfold and chomp into. Sometimes I walk here just for these delicious minis, other times I grab them to eat on the train. Also very very good are the chili dogs.
