Mediocre food at best. Customer service very poor, with an exception of the waitress Kristin. This was my second time coming to this location, with my reason of returning was primarily related to Kristin. Won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

I am from out of town and have a dairy allergy. After ordering my meal and explaining to the server about my allergy, the manager, Troy, came over to inform me that the food I ordered contained dairy. He then spent a good amount of time working with me to come up with a meal that had no dairy. I got the fish tacos, and they were delicious! Thanks Max and Ermas for a great meal and even better service!

Having to wait for a table when the place was maybe a quarter full topped the cake! Amazing! Then we order cc cookies to go, the waitress came out with a box of cookies and said«I had to give you two white chocolate macadamia nut and a oatmeal raisin because we didn’t have enough cc». If I wanted those I would have ordered them! Wow! Won’t be back!

Loved this place. The staff was friendly and courteous even though they were packed. The food was amazing! After nearly having date night ruined at baiggi’s this place saved it.

The food is really good here. The service is prompt. Ok, so it’s a chain restaurant. It’s a good chain restaurant. I’ve been twice and had a really positive experience both times. This place seems well managed. Both times I’ve been here I’m had a manager ask me about my experience. This place may have been bad at one point according to other reviews, but I’ll keep coming back and I urge you to give it a try. They even have a pretty fair range of healthy options. Or you can have cookies and ice cream and the walk over and see a movie.

So we stopped here after deciding we were underdressed for the italian place next door. Only my second time to Max and Erma’s and I know why. Meh. Glad they have vegetarian options and my waitress was attentive and nice. Food is chain quality, nothing spectacular but we left full.

Used to be a great spot to eat at when I was younger but this place has for sure gone down hill. And that’s most of the locations. Only reason I come back is for the tortilla soup usually. I am from out of town and Max and Erma’s was in the same parking lot as my work so I thought I’d grab a quick bite. Got a buffalo chicken sandwich which would have been good if the bun wasn’t soggy(and I didn’t even have it sitting out/waiting for me). The tortilla soup was OK, not as hot as it should have been. Also they charge extra for EVERYTHING! I wanted an extra side of tortilla strips and an extra side of ranch of my sandwich and was charged for each(they don’t charge me at the MI locations I go to). Last, the two people up front that helped me when I picked up my order were NOT friendly. I had wait for them to finish my conversation before they would even acknowledge me. Wouldn’t eat here again even if I was STARVING.

Ok, it has new four years since I have eaten here and I will say it was good today. Let’s hope they keep this up. My only grip is still pricey for why you get. Kids enjoyed there meals and that is a great thing. Need to turn down the music for there lunch crowd. If you go be ready to spend more than you think.

What a dump. When I do reviews normally it’s either because I really liked a place or didn’t like it at all. This place was a joke. At lunch on a Sunday, and it wasn’t even crowded and they had people waiting in line. All sections had empty tables. The sandwich I ordered couldn’t have required less effort. Cold hard bread. They claim to have seasoned fries, but not sure what the seasoning was. Seasoned in mediocrity I suppose. Went to watch a football game but a couple TV’s were off and they didn’t have it on the right channel. No ambience. Ended up just leaving. Not going back to one of these places again.

This place is such a disappointment. I remember when Max and Erma’s first came to Toledo. They were a unique hamburger experience. The phones were a great gimmick and they actually cared about a dining experience. This new incarnation is so lacking of any personality and what little they had has been so watered down, it all makes me sad. One this occasion we ordered grilled asparagus for an appetizer served with a balsamic drizzle. The ends of the asparagus had not been clipped and were very woody and chewy. For dinner we ordered chicken fingers, and fish tacos. They chicken fingers were dry and appeared to be frozen. Fish tacos were $ 10.00 for 2 tacos served on 2 dry shells for each taco they were drizzled with the smallest amount of spicy ranch. They fish, dry chopped up flakes were so dry I could not swallow them. When I asked for salsa, the server brought me Red Hot. When I asked for more ranch, it was delivered by the store manager who asked me if everything was alright. When I told him about the dry tacos he said«Well I hope that sauce does the trick for ya.» It didn’t. I miss the days of juicy burgers with crazy toppings, phones and the Sundae Bathtub, which by the way now has about the same toppings that you will find in your refrigerator at home. Save your money. They don’t care and neither should you.

The lemonade was good; and that about sums it up. The chicken pot pie was over baked and lacking vegetables. The side salad was just sad :/Needless to say, I will not return.

We were staying at the Hilton at Levis Commons and ate at Max & Ermas twice during our stay. Both times were for late dinners. Both of our servers were very friendly(thanks Kaitlyn and Ben). We never had to ask for refills on our drinks and we were checked on several times. The food was great and was delivered in a timely manner. My favorites are the tortilla soup and the third street salad. Ive searched everywhere for a restaurant with comparable tortilla soup and nobody else compares. Prices are good, food is great, atmosphere is inviting, and the service comes with a smile!!! On a side note; we did eat at other places this weekend and the service was terrible, which is why we returned to Max & Ermas twice in one weekend. When staying or shopping at Perrysburg in the future we will be dining here again. Im thinking the poor reviews must be from years ago because we didnt experience anything negative whatsoever.

It’s been at least 5 years since I’ve been to a M&Es. After eating here, it will probably be my last. We had a large group and they stuck us in a tight area that made it hard for half the table to move. They also only gave us one waitress — she tried, but vanished for long stretches too often. The food was even worse. I got a featured burger and the fries were cold. Since it took too long to get our food and 15 minutes to get some BBQ sauce, I wasn’t going to bother asking for fresh ones. The burger was supposed to be spicy, but it had no taste and wasn’t even seasoned. There was lettuce on it that looked white and was cooked(probably because the burger sat so long that it was barely warm). No one in our party was impressed in any way by what they had. As chain restaurants go, this is pretty low on the value and taste scale. Everything was higher priced than it should have been, and flavorless. They’re supposed to be known for their«famous» burgers — I have no idea why.

I used to enjoy eating here, but I noticed recently the quality and service of this Max and Ermas has dropped alot. Before, I could get a juicy, thick hamburger cooked just. the way.I liked. Now, a flat, overcook piece of something shows up on my plate. The fries are terrible and the service sucks. The server was nice, but once the food came he was no where to be found, and since he didn’t bring ketchup for the fries and Burger, it was a big problem. Don’t waste your time or money here.

This was not at all what I was hoping for. I’m not familiar with the chain and thought this would be a local place. Let’s make this easy for everyone: this was Applebee’s. Except worse. I had a black bean burger which was the unmistakable Costco version with the little wavy edges. I’ve bought enough of them to know. The bun was very dense and tough to get through. A salad came with the burger and that wasn’t that bad. It had a nice vinaigrette and marinated roma tomatoes. There are not a lot options in Perrysburg but there are better options.

Max & Erma’s I swear, the more I travel the more turned off I get about the food of places I used to frequent and like when I was younger. The latest victim is Max & Erma’s, the lovable, older, ethnic couple that used to feed me on a regular basis in Pittsburgh. Atmosphere — This is a more modern and strip mall-ish version of an M&E and surprise it was in one. Well actually it was in one of those«new» downtown Disney strip mall/small town settings that I like and do not like at the same time. I know I am messed-up. Service — Service was good while the menu shape was odd. The menu was like a discus or something else round. I guess that makes it «fun». Anyway, the server was nice and friendly enough to say that they could make the buffalo chicken sandwich w/grilled chicken instead of fried to accommodate my wanting to some extent eat healthy. My un-sweeten tea refills were prompt and numerous. Food — The food arrived hot. The sandwich was present nicely on a Kaiser roll w/lettuce and tomato as requested. The thing that I did not like about the sandwich and the meal was that the chicken appeared to be boiled??? It was not grilled as there were no grill marks and it was overly juicy to the point of being wet. I know this is not on their menu but I think they could have done a better job(Bobby E across the parking lot did so…). The side of fries(eliminate fried chicken makes eating fries not as bad) was crisp and tasty. Overall — Poor Max & Erma, I guess my tastes and/or eating habits have grown beyond what you can now provide for me. It is time that I move on and out to a new place. I may be back when I have kids some day who can burn calories galore.
