Great hole in the wall sub shop. We were a little nervous because no one else was there, but were pleasantly surprised. Multiple people picked up Togo orders while we were there, so that must be their main source of business. Hot, fresh ingredients, great flavor combinations. The food was great and the customer service was too.(The person working up front was very friendly, and knowledgeable– Short, light brown hair) We will be back!

If your in the Toledo area make sure you drop by this joint. The food is fantastic. I ordered the Super Dave that came with corned beef, pastrami, veges, Cosmic sauce and cole slaw. It was a little smaller than footlong but it certainly had heft. The meats are generously piled in a crusty, oh so good baguette. And the sauce really helps out in the flavor department. Highly recommended. My girlfriend ordered the Crazy Dave with Prosciutto, Capicola, italian herbs, veges and of course the Cosmic sauce. I though it was as good as Super Dave if not better. Great Italian sandwich. I gotta say everything about these subs were delicious and best of all I found a sandwich joint that uses real baguettes. I feel like I’m back in Brooklyn getting a sub from my corner deli, its not quite Brooklyn but damn close.

I had the grateful Dave. It was really great. I wasn’t a fan of the pickle you get with the sandwich. Don’t be afraid of the hot pepper juice they sprinkle on the sandwiches. I thought it was going to be too spicy but it adds just the right amount of kick

I had been here once before when I was in a bad mood and didn’t really take it in. I just came again and I can’t believe I haven’t visited sooner. The food was great and the atmosphere was awesome. I would definitely recommend stopping by and trying one of Dave’s cosmic subs.

I always stop here on my travels up and down I-75(even though its off a different highway!). I get the Dave’s World Famous which has roast beef, sliced deli chicken, banana peppers, cheese and that awesome sauce. That sauce must have some crack in it because it is SO good! Love the kick with the banana peppers too. Not a healthy lunch, but so tasty. The fries are good, I recommend them the Ohio way — with malted vinegar! But if you’re on the go, they also have delicious bagged chips.

Like another reviewer ended up at Dave’s after donating to Goodwill. So happy I stopped in. I got the Dave’s Cordon Bleu and a side of fries. The 6 min wait is so worth having a hot sub. The bread tastes like something you’d find at a corner deli. If I could have the blue cheese dressing just as a dipping sauce for the fries I’d be in heaven. I liked the subs so much I went there again today to get the«Hey Dave». I didn’t regret it. Loved the juicy roast beef and the horseradish sauce. Just wish there was blue cheese dipping sauce.

Dave’s serves up some killer subs for a reasonable fee — like around $ 6 bucks on average. I’ve been here twice; the first I tried the Crazy Dave, which was piled high with fresh meats and had a little bit of a spicy tang to it. Today I went for the meatball sub, which was equally delicious. It was served hot on a toasted roll with red sauce, mozzarella and Dave’s special sauce. Delicious! Dave’s interior is decorated with 60’s and 70’s rock n’ roll memorabilia, and the ambient music selection varies from metal, to hits from the 60’s and 70’s. This is quickly becoming one of my number one lunch time hot spots!

The sandwiches, chips & sodas were excellent. Creative, fun & clean atmosphere! Definitely a place to go for fresh subs. I love the Grateful Dave, sweet & spicy. The pickles are fresh, but unique. Not my favorite. The chips come in several varieties & extra crunchy. The owner is very attentive to quality & is often the one making your subs. The staff is friendly, attentive & hard-working. I’ve been to another local sub shop. I had poor service, tiny portions & no service beyond handing me my plates 30 minutes after ordering. Don’t be fooled by other reviewers, eat at Dave’s.

Ended up at Dave’s after donating some clothes and such next door at Goodwill. I’ve actually heard of and seen pics of Dave’s subs via instagram so I kind of had an idea what they had to offer. Ordered the #7, just the sandwich, to-go. Because I wanted to enjoy it at the park! Staff was very friendly and even praised my choice of sammich but casually mumbling«great choice» which was a nice pat on the shoulder given the fact that I’ve never been there before. The #7. The«Super Dave». Did not disappoint. «Pastrami, Corned Beef, Mayo, Lettuce, Mustard, Tomatoes all Topped With a Generous Portion of Dave’s Homemade Cole Slaw and Don’t Forget the Dave’s Cosmic Sauce”— the last two… the cole slaw and the sauce definitely made the sandwich for me. All served on Italian bread which is just the type of friend that’ll just eat up that sauce… in a good way. I’m going to return. And I’m going to try every sandwich on that menu.

Stopped in here a month ago. Staff was indifferent — not rude or overly polite. Overpriced food and skimped on the meat, all ingredients seemed cheap so not sure what the fuss is about this place. I would recommend JD’s Sarnie Shop at Levis Commons for a much better sandwich. What’s the deal with the tip jar? I was handed a sandwich and fries from across the counter…(which was already pricey). How’s that differ from McD’s? John F. — not much hard work going on when I was there.(yes, J[B] is pricier and better too.) I tip well when service /food is good. Don’t know how they stay in business really. Sounds like you may be offended because you work there. Sorry, just an honest review.

Lots of sandwich options to choose from both toasted and untoasted. I recommended getting something with Dave’s Cosmic Sauce. I went for the #9 and had them toast it. It was a little saucy, but delicious overall. Cheerful staff and groovy atmosphere. A sub is going to run you 5.95. I will definitely be back.
