Sears Parts and Repair Center

Pitiful. Do not call Sears for repair on appliances. Kenmore range emitting carbon monoxide. Cannot use until repaired. Thought since it came from Sears we should have a Sears repairman come out. They gave us an appointment time of between 10 am and 2 pm. I had to stay home and wait. When nobody showed up by 1:45, we called. We were told that the appointment was delayed. Until 2:45. If we hadn’t called we wouldn’t have known. We cancelled. Repair guy called at 2 pm and said he would be at our house in 20 minutes. I said if that was the case I would wait… and then he said it might be more like an hour. We’re done with Sears!

Do NOT buy from Sears — my frig wasn’t working — it took them almost a week to come out. The next day I had the same problem and now they can’t come out for over a WEEK after they didn’t fix it the first time. Shame on you Sears. Will never purchase another appliance from you again.

Absolutely pathetic! Takes days for appt, then calls at noon the day of the repair to tell me the technician called out sick. As if it couldn’t get worse, they tell me it will be at least 5 more days before they can have someone out. There is a reason Sears and its sister companies are collapsing, and the government needs to change the bankruptcy protections that allow companies like this to continue screwing the American consumer.

BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM SEARS. THEY DO NOT STAND BY THESE WARRANTIES, in fact, they try to make your life a living hell so that you will go away. The short story here is we have an extended warranty for a washer. We have been waiting for over 4 weeks to get it fixed. Basically, we have had 3 technicians here, have over $ 1400 worth of parts sitting in my basement and they can only get people out once every 2 weeks. Their technicians leave alot to be desired, there is a reason that there are many good appliance repair people out there. What I have learned from this process is: 1. NEVER USE SEARS FOR REPAIRS. this may mean that you do not buy a LG OR SAMSUNG appliance. One repair man told me that he was sorry, I would probably have to go with Sears repair because I have an LG. I am much more sorry than him. Sears is a bureaucratic mess. If you believe them, most of them have no clue how Goggle works and they have no access to the internet. Their repair people are new and inexperienced – hello, turn off the water before disconnecting a hose. GO LOCAL and stick by your local repair person, they are soooo much more knowledgable and responsive.
