I like shopping at Grand Prairie when it is a nice day outside, some sun and a slight breeze. Even if it is raining or snowing, the walk between the stores is not that bad.
They have many popular stores such as Dicks, Banana Republic, and Ross. I wish there were more stores in here because it is in such a nice space and it would offer stores to a diverse audience.
There aren’t many places to eat in the mall, but there are plenty of places to go around the mall.

This location had so much potential! With northwoods mall being so outdated, the developer had a great idea for a more upscale mall for the area. Unfortunately the decision to make it an outdoor layout was a huge fail. The turnover rate at this mall is unbelievable. Grand Prairie is located in one of the windiest locations in all of Peoria, so when it’s dead winter or raining, no one wants to brave the weather and walk store to store with a bunch of shopping bags to then walk a great distance back to their vehicle.
In comparison to northwoods, Grand Prairie mall has the best department store — Bergner’s, which is had high end options with discount pricing. The location also has great restaurants right outside the parking lot. It’s a shame this mall didn’t opt to be indoors. I would say the only thing that could save it would be a few outlets leasing space.

I will again agree with Trista! Although this mall would compare fairly lower to other malls I have been too, for central il it’s great! Clean! Nicely set up! Decent choices of stores. My recommendation to the owner is this location would make an unbelievable outlet mall! And would bring an unbelievable revenue!

Though this is more of a 3 or 4 star place compared to all the malls I have been to, for Central Illinois this is top notch. This is a newer mall that offers more upscale shops than other malls in the area. It is the perfect place to be on a beautiful day, though it can be miserable in the winter. It has beautiful landscaping with trees that bloom in the spring. When the wind blows, pretty little petals shower the walkways! Love it!
Some of the shops I frequent include Bergners, Charlotte Russe, Charming Charlie’s, Old Navy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Banana Republic. There are several options for places to eat including steakhouses, stir fry, coffee shops, and ice cream! There are several specialty shops as well. Check the store directory online before visiting. Since this mall is so new, things are always changing to find the perfect fit for the local consumers.

After living in Peoria for a few months now, I finally made my way out to the Shoppes at Grand Prairie. The shopping complex had been recommended to me by many people who are from the area.
It’s a nice shopping complex with an outdoor mall format. It’s a bit cold right now to enjoy the fresh air between stores but I imagine it’s really nice in the warmer months. They have a lot of the major chains I frequent like DSW, Old Navy, NY&Co and the Loft.
There are public restrooms and places for coffee and food as well. I will definitely be back here for all my clothing shopping.
