Methodist Medpointe-Minor Emergency Center

Well so far our visit has been has been horrible. Me and my child walk in and i go to the front desk. I received no greeting. They just starred at me. So i asked do i need to fill this form out. They didnt talk to me and were just rude. So i filled out the form and sat down. Meanwhile every other person that came in was greeted and told it was a 2 HOUR wait. They just opened. I also heard everyone else being asked for insurance cards. I wasnt asked. So i went to the desk and asked if they needed my insurance cards. Again i was treated rudely. This time I was laughed at for asking because duh my daughter sees a methodist dr so its in the system. And i was rudely told if i needed the insurance cards i would have asked for it. We have only been here for 1 hour i will update the rest of our visit.

If you come here with a medical problem, you will be a HUGE inconvenience to the staff! First, when you arrive the non-​medical secretary is going to read your intake form and attempt to diagnose you from her chair at the front desk, in front of everyone (HIPPA must not apply to secretaries). Then when you insist on seeing a real doctor (the nerve!!) she is going to snort distainfully and bury your file under everyone elses. After sitting for over an hour and checking the wait time twice, you will be called back to an exam room where you will wait another 30 minutes. When the doctor finally appears, he will look you over for 2 – 3 minutes and give you a prescription. Then if you are anything like me, you will flaunt that prescription right out to the front desk to pay, making sure the secretary with medical delusions can see that you did, in fact, have a medical issue.
The nurse assistant who took my blood pressure remarked that it was a little high-​I came in with one condition and left with two! Because sick people LOVE to get treated like crap when they don’t feel good. When I drive by and see cars in the parking lot, I actually feel sad for those patients who didn’t know any better. (There’s a PromptCare across the street-​go there instead!!!
