I really wanted to give this place 2 or 3 stars because the food was average to ok, but I can’t. Reason is this place is listed as Mediterranean, Greek, and Lebanese. Judging it on that it is 1 star. If it was listed as American, Drunk munchie grub, Greek it would get 2 to 3 stars. Don’t believe me? Click on the menu to the right and start counting. American food(chicken wings, burgers, walleye dinner, jalapeño poppers, etc) there are 38 items. Greek? 12(most of those are versions of Gyros). 8 if you take away the ½ lb. tubs of hummus, etc. in the cooler you can get for $ 4(probably to take back to your dorm for a useful, healthy snack). Lebanese? 2. Look guys, most bars have Gyro’s on their menu and they aren’t pretending to be a Mediterranean restaurant. Your choice of any Greek dish is fries, which are good mind you… but not Greek. I mean who wants to add 8 ounces of hummus because he doesn’t want deep fried potatoes’ as his side? Plus get penalized by upping the cost 50% because he wants something Greek in… a Greek restaurant? This shouldn’t be too much to ask… What also shouldn’t be too much to ask is for unsweetened tea to be an option instead of super sugarized soda’s. Lastly, the Tzatziki sauce should have some resemblance of cucumber in it, not watered down mayo like it is here. I ordered the Gyro meal. It came with a couple of slices of onions and a slice of tomato. No side tomatoes like the picture has(The framed picture of the Gyro is precious, priceless, and totally inaccurate) Meat was average to good. Pita was store bought and not screwed up. Lack of any lettuce was disappointing. Tzatziki sauce was horrible. Fries were good. Drink selection was not good(especially if you are a diabetic… then your option apparently is water) This place really needs to reconsider what it is and what it is trying to be.

Had my first decent gyro here thanks to the recommendation of the hubby. Nice people, clean location, good food. If you’re in Peoria and hungry for something like a gyro, be sure to check this place out.

Excellent service. Clean interior. Very receptive staff. We enjoy every visit here, you can tell it is family owned and family run. Arguably the best Falafel sandwiches and hummus in Peoria.

The best gyro’s in central Illinois. A great place to eat. The food is consistently hot and high quality. Just go there. This is an excellent example of a family owned business with the best Mediterranean food in central Illinois.

Great food!!! The fries are to die for and all the med. food is delicious. You can also keep things healthy by getting grape leaves or tabouli or kibbeh!

The food is made fresh when you order so you’ll have to wait a few minutes but it’s worth it! It’s good food and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended!

Easy to find. Service is fairly food. I had fries and it was really tasty. But my boyfriend’s baba Ghanoush was pathetic. It was cold, and it was directly taken out from Thor packaged box. So Fries yes! Baba Ghanoush no…

The fries are amazing! The outside is fried nicely to a golden brown, and the inside is perfectly soft. I got one of the gyros which I didn’t really love, but it wasn’t bad. The pita bread qas warm and fluffy. The meat was good, but a little too seasoned for my liking. Also, I felt like they stacked the meat a little too much also, but I don’t really like to eat too much meat, so if you do then you’ll probably like the meat portion. Overall, this is a nice family owned restaurant that seems to be serving its community with great food, so come on in and give their food a try!

I would have never stopped in this place. Unilocal strikes again. Baba Ghanoush with olive oil is very good. Pita bread was ok. We also had the Falafel and the Super Duper Gyro. Both was fantastic. If you find yourself anywhere near this place, you need to stop in. If still on the fence, the staff could not have been nicer.

One night I was craving for a gyro and the only Mediterranean place open was this one. I’m really glad I found this! I got the gyro special(includes fries and drink) for about $ 9, the gyro was really good served with very decent side of fries. Since the place was empty when I went, my order took only 3 mins to be served.

Cheese balls & fried mushrooms at a falafel place?! YESPLEASE. The combo meal is very filling. The fries are suprisingly good. Atmosphere isn’t fantastic, just a basic fast food type of set up. It is clean though. The falafel seasoning is unusual, but still tasty. The baba ganoush was too tart. PROS: *cheese balls & fried mushrooms *fries that are both crispy & soft *interestingly good falafel *vegetarian options CONS: *2 of the same picture hanging on the wall is a little weird *didn’t like everything ordered

How can you go wrong when craving a gyro and choosing Khoury’s to get it! The thicker slices of gyro meat and the spices show you that it wasn’t just frozen pieces that come in a bag like many other greek restaurants in town serve. The sandwiches and fries there are very good. I love the crunchy fries as others have said. Also the unique bread for the philly cheese steak makes the sandwich and the beef tastes like it had been cooked for many hours to reach perfection.

My girlfriend brought me and another friend here and I am so thankful she did! This is so delicious! My friend and I had the Kibbeh sandwich which was amazing and my other friend had the Greek salad which she loved. We shared the hummus and that tasted great as well. This is a really cute place, clean and the décor is pretty and simple. The service was very friendly and I will most definitely be back!!!

Had the gyro burger. It was amazing, yet somehow the fries were better. It is so disappointing that it took me 24 years to discover this place.

Great service and great food! You can’t go wrong with a Gyro Special here. Just the right amount of moist, delicious flatbread; goes perfectly with their gyro meat. The fries that come with the Gyro Special are pristine, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Excellent place to grab a quick bite.

This place has a very good gyro, but that’s not why I’m writing this review… BEST. PHILLY. EVER. Seriously, the Super Philly Steak sandwich is incredible. The meat is juicy and tender, the peppers and onions are grilled to perfection, and the whole thing is topped with cheese — LOTS of cheese. The bread is soft but has a nice chew to it. You MUST try this sandwich.
