Horizon Eye Specialists & LASIK Center

First technician started the eye exam. After about 10 minutes into it he told me he would start dilating my eyes. I asked how long should I wait to drive as I wasn’t prepared for this and haven’t had my eyes dilated in years. Told me it would be fine to drive right after leaving. He continued to put more drops in 10 minutes after the first set.
A Dr. Jacobsen came in to finish exam and immediately started pushing surgery! I asked for my prescription and he told me it wouldn’t be completed until I see the surgeon who wasn’t available for seven more weeks. He literally refused to finalize my prescription. Not enough time in the day to continue the dialog I had with Derek Jacobsen. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life. He was unprofessional and quite rude. Even with very dark sunglasses on I couldn’t even walk to my car in the sunlight. Had to call my son to come pick me up. Horrible experience, the worst in all the years at an Optometrist.

Went in for Lasik and am not a candidate even with the new technology however they were able to put a lens in and remove my cataract which wasn’t real bad yet and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

First time here and so far not a good experience! Appointment was at 2:30 and my father wasn’t seen until 3:30. What’s the point of making an appointment!
I will update this if it gets any better!

Dealing with a salesperson who makes commission is one of my least favorite things, but Elizabeth at the Arrowhead location was fantastic! Not only did she not try and talk me into unnecessary add ons, she took her time with me and helped me find the perfect pair of glasses to fit all my specific needs. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured at all. She was so wonderful, I ended up coming back for some sunglasses! I will definitely be back to see her again!

nothing short of a nightmare since I first scheduled an appt. Had I known everything that I would have experienced, I would have paid out of pocket to go to my usual walmart eye center. still having headaches from them deciding to switch up my eye prescription when nothing was wrong with my last one, and I’ve been trying to call to tell them and there phones say «system error» and disconnect me.
