Barracks Cater Inn Banquet Center & Catering

We used them as a caterer for a golf outing recently. We were very disappointed in the service and the resolution of the poor service. To be clear the food we ordered was very good. The service, however, was not! The server was incredibly slow. We had also negotiated a certain number of servers and they sent one less. We had to pay an employee to serve at the last minute, increasing our cost. We ordered 110 meals. We had 92 golfers and 4 volunteers… we always add 10 ‘just in case’ and offer any extra meals to employees or take them home. Four people had to leave early so we had 92 people who ate. The workers of the Cater Inn left without speaking to the people in charge of the event. We were upset that they did not give us a chance to take the extra food. When our chairperson complained to the owner we were told that there was hardly any food left over. If that is true then what would have happened if we truly needed 110 meals? Either they did not make enough food or they took the extra with them. Either choice is not acceptable. They knocked $ 50 off our bill. For showing up with one less server and either taking or not providing approximately 15 meals that is not an adequate resolution. We will not use This vendor again for our event.

I was at that outing as well. Yes the food was good, however the male server didn’t have a clue and was horribly slow. He was trying to serve crepes with tongs! He kept apologizing for tearing up the entrée. It did NOT make for a good presentation. He obviously didn’t want to be there. I heard the catering staff just disappeared with the leftovers as well. What’s up with that?

My daughter and new son had her wedding at Barrack’s on Sept 2.2011 great place, great people, great food, great service, great wine, great prices… do I have to say more. We where happy with almost everything … except if you tell the mother of the bride that somebody forgot to order the colored ribbon that go around the white chair just about a hour before the wedding… my god we found them by the door,(I) found them by the door so please be sure a week before a wedding if everything is ordered .I almost had a small breakdown, lol. We had a great ceremony /​wedding reception .Ty everybody !
