Been here a few times. Never disappointed. The atmosphere is better if u have children since there’s no big hype about ambiance. Prices are great, service is good, and food is excellent

I eat at Golden Palace often and recommend this place to anyone looking for great food at a good price. The Phở is always very good, and I’ve had Phở in many cities in the U.S. and abroad to compare. Trust me, it’s very good Phở! Veggies are super fresh, and the only complaint is that they use processed crab in the seafood Phở. I always get the chicken. Portions are huge, so be prepared and don’t over order. A small Phở is a filling meal. Their spicy beef fried rice is great, and I like their Korean BBQ. Service is prompt and friendly, and their to-go business does very well. If you are heading south on Davis, turn at the light and come in the back rather than do the U-turn at Creighton.

Amazing Authentic Vietnamese Food. Never would have imagine a place like Pensacola would have a place like this. This place specializes in more then just Phở. My number one spot in Pensacola to eat at. Highly recommend. Prices and customer service is amazing as well.

Definitely one of the better Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to here in the southeast. Server was great. Welcoming, attentive, funny. We all enjoyed his service. Ordered the grilled shredded pork like I do at all Vietnamese restaurants. Was fantastic. Meat was cooked just right. Tasted excellent. Also came with fish sauce and vegetables that complimented well. Had a side of soup to wash everything down. Great experience and I will definitely be coming back next time I am in the Pensacola area.

Love this place. It reminds me of San Diego Vietnamese food. All the staff are very polite, the ambience is nice and the food comes quickly and in good quantity.

The staff is so nice here! They were very helpful with making suggestions. Best phở I’ve had since leaving Hawaii.

My rating is based on two visits. The first time, I had the bun bo hue which reaked of fish sauce. Prices were a little higher than Tu do’s but service was fast and friendly. The second time, I gave the phở a try and was very impressed. I’m a die hard Tu Do lover but golden palace has their phở beat.

Best Vietnamese in Pensacola. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and very attentive, the price is more than readonable, and the food is prepared remarkably fast. Would choose here over Tu-Do any day.

They have quail and amazing tofu. But the phở is where it is at. I heard about this place many times before and finally decided to try it with my fiancé. It was wonderful. We both got the steak phở on this chilly night and it really hit the spot. Beautiful clear broth with a lot of flavor. Sweet tea with a lime wedge, and let me tell you, it was on point. The soda comes out of a can though, which is not bad, but still, I would stick with the sweet tea. The environment was quaint and clean, nothing super special, but you can tell a lot of love goes into the cleanliness here. It takes a lot of balls to have the floors and walls of a restaurant to be the color white. And the waitress/owner? Cutest and sweetest little lady ever. Very attentive and kind. This place gets FIVE stars and anyone who thinks otherwise can shove it and go eat packaged ramen. This place was wonderful!

Best Banh Mi ever. As far as most Phở places go around here, definitely the nicest and best service.

My little sister took my family, fiancé and I here when we visited her at the end of August. She loves phở and this is her favorite phở place in town. Unfortunately for me, phở’s still an acquired taste, and I’m not on the phở train yet. Perhaps I’ll get there one day, but I much prefer ramen & udon to phở. But, that’s just me. Thankfully, the menu has plenty of other options for those who aren’t that into phở. We started dinner with stuffed fried wontons and spring rolls. You can’t really go wrong ordering either one of those dishes and they both tasted great. Drinkwise, if you’re into boba, they’ve got that here. Flavors include strawberry, banana, kiwi, lychee, passion fruit, watermelon and avocado. You can also get your smoothie without the tapioca pearls if you’re not into that. For my dinner, I ordered the grilled chicken banh mi & a small cup of egg drop soup. The soup was perfect and a great way to help me warm up since it was freezing in the restaurant. It seemed like they had their AC on full blast. My bahn mi was huge — probably the size of a Subway footlong. It made every bahn mi I ate in the past look tiny. I made sure to ask that the jalapenos be removed since I can’t handle all that spice. I really enjoyed the marinade on the chicken and it was cooked to perfection. Cilantro, pickled carrots and sliced cucumbers finished off the sandwich and tasted great as well. I couldn’t finish it and took half back to our hotel room. My fiancé ate it cold the next day and had no complaints. The rest of our party ordered mainly phở, specifically P5, which contains eye round steak and meatballs. The phở comes in either small or large & they charge extra for extra meat. We also ordered some rice dishes to share. To cap off our meal, our server gave us fortune cookies. We read aloud of fortunes and withheld adding«in bed» after them. For some reason, I always do that when I read a fortune from a fortune cookie. Overall, everyone enjoyed their food. The prices are very reasonable — easily under $ 10 per person. You also get a lot of food for your money. Our server was relatively friendly and handled our big party, a group of 9 fairly well despite some very minor communication issues that occurred during dinner. The décor/ambiance is just OK, not the prettiest place, but then again, you’re there for the food not the décor. If you’re in the area and have a craving for phở, give this place a try!

Good food. However, the owner was rude. I asked for a certain type of herb called«tia to“‘ to go with Bun Bo Hue, and the owner said, «This is not Vietnam. We don’t have everything.». The galls. He could have simply said, «No, we don’t have it.» I simply replied, «California has tia to». I will never come here again. Who do they think they are? I am Vietnamese. I know what herbs should go in a bowl of Bun Bo Hue. They gave me herbs that a used for phở, basil!

We ordered the banh mi sandwich with grilled pork(huge), spring rolls, vermicelli salad with grilled pork & fried spring roll, watermelon slush with boba & mango slush with boba! Nice casual place with great service! We’ll come here again!

The restaurant isn’t much to look at, but the food is great, with good portions, and awesome service. You must try their smoothies with boba; SO pleasurable to the taste buds! Their Thai tea is better than several other places. I’ve had better boba, but it isn’t a deal breaker at all. Our party had the chicken general, sweet & sour chicken, egg rolls, and phở. The egg rolls were just a bit over-fried, yet they were gone pretty fast. I was pleased they actually had tripe for the noodle soups. Bill was a bit high, but upon cross-referencing everything with the menu, we figured some things were just a bit pricey; nothing major.

I guess this is the best Vietnamese food for the area. Prices on the menu did NOT match the website. I guess they raise the prices for the summer. Very very clean place! Not impressed with their bun bowl, meat was very fatty and over loaded with noodles and not enough veggies. The shrimp spring rolls did not taste fresh, very stinky. The peanut sauce was lumpy and flavorless. The fried spring roll was the best part of the meal. Service was really great and the owners were nice. Just seems like they cut a lot of corners to make an extra buck.

Service was bad. My friend and I sat at the table for half an hour before they took our order. Three stars because their drinks were good.

I came in at approx. 1:30pm and sat down and hoped to enjoy a family lunch while on a three day vacation. We placed our orders within a few minutes, and received our rude welcome by the older Vietnamese female server. She didn’t greet us and constantly budge on us when we were telling her on what we want to eat. Our apps consisted of two orders of spring rolls, which was lukewarm, tasted like its old and the dipping sauce was bland and contained a dreadful taste. My parents then got their entrees which was phở. The meat was clumped and had a pools of oil on it. I waited ten minutes then I received my sandwich, which was bland. I did not enjoy my experience there as a vacationer, and felt that the fourth dollars could’ve been spent at their neighboring restaurant. Won’t be back

Casual setting with a friendly staff makes Golden Palace ideal for family gatherings or a quick phở fix. The portions are large and they offer vegan options as well as veggie broth. A yummy place if you’d like a mini vacation from the Standard American dinner.

It has been two years and I’m still coming here for my phở fix. I wanted to post this updated review because I noticed a couple positive changes with my last visit: 1) Service seems more friendly and talkative. 2) Spring rolls have more shrimp and the dipping sauce is thicker(both pluses!) 3) The menus have been updated to clean, new ones. I’ll go ahead and bump my 4 stars up to a 5. Even though Tu-Do’s interior is more formal, I prefer Phở Palace because it’s more casual and they seem willing to keep improving and updating for a better dining experience!
