My husband and I stopped at a gas station to fill up. I went inside to ask where I was able to get shrimp and grits. The cashier suggested this place. It is a small place but the hospitality of the staff made up for the space. Also, I was a bit leery about driving into this location but it was worth it. We ordered the fried mullet and grits with cheese. OM! I haven’t had fish like that in a Looooooooonnnnnnnngggggg time. Each staff member approached the patrons in the establishment to inquire about how their food was. It wasn’t annoying nor intrusive. If ever in the area again, I will definitely bring my entire family.

What a great little hole-in-the-wall. A hidden gem. It’s is just fried fish and grits. Just like the name says. The owner’s and employees were very friendly and made us feel like we were in an old fashioned family restaurant.

Been in Florida just 6 months, but TONITE I FOUNDMY «GOTO» FISHPLACE! The food and the people were the very best. Some review commented on the tarter sauce, and I thought really, isn’t it just tarter sauce? NO, the sauce like everything else was unique and great. I had the catfish, boss had the mullet, WORTHTHETRIPWHATEVERPARTOFTOWNYOUARECOMINGFROM.

I was visiting for business and loved the name Just Fish and Grits. I went in not really knowing what to expect. But just like the name that just what it is. I usually don’t like fried fish, but they don’t offer grilled or broiled, just fried. I decided to go for it anyway and I am glad I did. The huge pieces of fish coated in a light well seasoned breading was not greasy at all. It comes resting on two pieces of chewy slightly sweet bread, delicious piping hot cheese grits and homemade tarter sauce. You are served at the counter by the owners who are so nice I felt like I had known them for 100 years. There are not many seats(10 maybe) so of course the do a lot of carry out. They do a great job here. Thank you

This place is a true gem. The menu is plain & simple= just Fish & Grits. The Tilapia & Cheese Grits is my favorite by far. The tarter sauce is out of this world & the sweet tea ain’t too far behind. You’ll also never find this type of customer service nowhere. When I’m in town visiting family this is my go to! They need to open up in Los Angeles pronto. This place would make a killing there.

Really excellent fish, and good grits. Genuinely the best fish I’ve ever had. I got the sampler, and plowed through all of it. I didn’t particularly love the catfish, but I hadn’t tried catfish before, and felt that this was the best chance I was going to have that my first catfish experience would be a good one — I don’t doubt that it was good catfish, but I still didn’t like it much. All of the fish I had, including the catfish, was cooked perfectly and delightfully fresh. They have a homemade tartar sauce that’s really worth some attention, and aside from a variety of hot/pepper sauces at the tables, they have Frank’s Red Hot sauce at the counter if you want it. I hadn’t had cheese grits before, but I tried them — they were okay. Not better than their normal grits, I think. Not worse, either.
