Have yet to be disappointed by this place. Went for Father’s day and had another delcious breakfast. New menu items. The hubby and I tried them. I got the bread pudding and he got the shrimp and grits with creole sauce. Found out that for little one I could get half of any other item so we got the very berry French toast. The food was amazing. The bread pudding was a hearty serving and tasted amazing, kind of like a Thanksgiving stuffing(I’ve never had bread pudding before), it had bacon pieces in it. It was topped with a egg and hollandaise sauce, it was fantastic. The kiddo French toast was still enough for adults to eat it was just 1 less slice. The hubby had a huge serving of grits with shrimp on the side. The shrimp had a little kick in terms of spice but I enjoyed them. I just love love love this place. As always awesome and courteous staff, very helpful and patient.

Probably the best breakfast sandwich I have ever eaten. Fresh, toasted artisan bread layered with bacon, egg, tomato, avocado, and roasted garlic bacon aioli. Fluffy-crunchy breakfast potatoes served with a curry-kissed ketchup. Beautiful atmosphere and décor. Waitstaff was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable of the specials. Would highly recommend George’s.

Good place to meet friends for brunch. No rush from server to move along. Good food. GREAT desserts, tho I’ll never admit I had some for brunch. Server genuinely friendly and checks on you \frequently.

Never disappoints! Our faves include shrimp & grits, quiche, and if youre there for dinner the bone marrow appetizer(seems intimidating, but holy cow-you’ll never think of bone marrow the same)

Food was good! Very fresh ingredients! Shrimp and grits good but a little bland. Coffee excellent. Staff friends. The only thing I didn’t like was the music.

Our favorite place in Pensacola! In the land of Sysco fake goods, it’s amazing to find a restaurant making everything from scratch including their own yogurt and French pastries! Everything is thoughtfully crafted and delicious. I wish we lived here and could eat here more often.

This place is a diamond in the rough. Excellent bistro type food, and gorgeous tasty desserts. The restrooms are pristine. The restaurant is one of the most pleasant places I have ever eaten. Our waitress was as sweet as could be, and very patient when our baby got fussy. I wish I lived closer, I would be here every day. Highly recommend the strawberries and champagne!

I was so excited about George opening. Even though the location is no where near downtown we went. Twice. We bought bread once. It was thick, dry, heavy and flavorless. We thought maybe it was an off day for the baker. We went again and bought pastries and bread. Same result on the bread. The pastry was dull and unimaginative and needed sugar. Disappointing especially since the owner was so very nice. I really wanted it to be a success.

Stopped in for dinner! Absolutely delicious! The George Fries are the best. Order it with the truffle infused olive oil! Ask for Sam! We will be returning for breakfast and brunch! We met Chef George. Love his story and very nice!

I went here with my boyfriend for lunch today. We had a puffy pastry appetizer. It came in a cute look and tasted amazing. We both had a dish, a steak sandwich on ciabatta and crab cake. The steak sandwich is perfectly cooked medium rare as we requested. The sauce of this sandwich is tasty. Ciabatta is a little bit chewy to me but my boyfriend likes it. Crab cake came in two set of crab cake with egg. We didn’t finish everything. It is more filling than it looks like. We like here a lot and definitely will come back.

Ok, So me and my wife wanted to find a place for brunch a few weeks ago in Pensacola. I remember driving pass this place a few times and decided to give it a try. When we got to our table we was greeted promptly and handed menus. The menu was small, but had a good variety of items to choose from, which for me I like. I hate going to a place where they are trying to do TOOMUCH with the menu and you spend your first 20 mins just trying to understand the menu. Everything on the menu and what was coming out the kitchen looked great. So since we couldn’t decide on what to order, we elected to order the 2 meals we both was eyeing and spilt the portions once they arrived. We orders the steak sandwich and Truffle Mushroom Omelet, both with truffle potatoes(extra for the truffle on the potatoes, but I thought it was worth it!) We could not have been happier with our selection. The steak sandwich was nice and lean, not chewy and had a great favor to it. The truffle mushroom omelet was cooked perfectly. As for the truffle potatoes, makes everything come together One caveat I have, for anyone that is used to going to places where everything is over-portioned, this might not be your place. I didn’t find my portion to be small by any means, but I know we live in a world where everything is SUPERSIZED. This place isn’t that! I found the menu to be prized reasonable and great value for what you get. The atmosphere was good. When we walked in, we was greeted right off right away and was placed on a wait list for 2. The place was decorated very nice. Very clean and open. You could see the pastry counter on your right that. We sat at the high chair table seating in the middle. We normally prefer a booth or table, but the high chair was very comfortable, so please don’t let that discourage you. ONLY thing with mentioning the counter that I thought was kind of a negative was that it was also a eating area in addition to the dining area. So there were several individuals at the countertop. Well, they had a couple of their pasteries trays on the counter, opened and uncovered. Which I thought was kinda not the best idea due to the fact that anyone at the countertop were in a direct«sneeze or cough» range of that apple danish you been eyeballing since you got there! lol I thought if they simply had a clear cover on the pastries, would make more sense to me. But thats just me… Everyone in the place had a genuine smile on their faces. I like going to a place where the employees seems to be happy, it flows to the customers and that makes for a great dining experecince knowing that your in good hands. Its located just past downtown Pensacola. Plenty of FREEPARKING! So no need to worry on that front. Overall, I thought this place was great! Worth going back to many times over and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal at a great price!

Five stars! The food was damn near perfect and the décor/feel of the place just made me happy! They really put thought into the look of things. It reminded me of some of the Atlanta restaurants that I’m used to. I can’t help but compare everywhere I go to Atlanta; I’m still an Atlantan at heart! I had the Smoked Salmon Poached Eggs. It may have been the best I’ve ever had. My fiancé had one of their croissant breakfast sandwiches. He loved it too. We had Pineapple Mimosas as well which were so dang good! The only thing that could use a little tweaking was the cheese grits. They served a large portion which is good but it was just grits with some shredded cheddar on top. When I think of cheese grits my five star standard is the Creamy Dreamy Cheese Grits at Flying Biscuit in Atlanta which are some seriously good grits! Maybe I’m a bit of a cheese grits snob but when I order cheese grits I want tons of cheese mixed in. Regardless of the cheese grits I love this restaurant! Keep on being awesome George!

Great food & great atmosphere! We sat at the bar and enjoyed a nice, Sunday brunch. My husband got the Braised Short Rib Benedict and I got the HouseMade Granola & Yogurt with a side of bacon. This was our first time to George’s, but the couple next to us said they come all the time, and recommended the beef Benedict. It was fantastic! We also got coffee, mimosas, an Arnold Palmer, and a two desserts to-go — a chocolate croissant & a white chocolate raspberry pastry. Everything was wonderful! The place was trendy, but comfortable. I loved the natural light, the large marble & wood tables, and exposed brick on the walls. The service was exceptional — everyone from the hostess to the wait staff to the chef, who checked on us. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a yummy, chic, laid-back brunch or lunch. I would come back again and again! (My picture isn’t very good, but trust me, the place was great!!)

Top-notch in every way! George is a Pensacola gem. Everything from the décor to the selection to the service has been thought out carefully and executed with caring expertise. It is gorgeous inside and we were immediately greeted with welcoming hospitality. We only ordered pastries to go but we met the talented pastry chef and George himself with whom we discussed the merits of the lamb and mint combination. Everyone was so friendly, personable, very well-dressed and professional. And the pastries, oh the pastries! The croissants possess all of the buttery layers and the external crunch one hopes for. Ours was nestled with delicious quality chocolate, just the right amount. The scones are awesome, perfectly bakes and contain good ingredients like thick cut bacon, cheese and chives. And the mocha torte – OMG! Yes, chocolate lovers definitely have one of those! This place is awesome from start to finish; even their packaging for to-go items is fabulous. I haven’t tried dining in yet but I’m sure it will be fantastic!

Divine! The food, chef, staff and atmosphere are amazing Kate(our server) was incredibly knowledgeable and made great suggestions for both food and drink. George(the chef) personally greeted us and discussed the menu choices we made. He shared his background and shared how dedicated to the restaurant he and his wife were to the restaurant. The papillote and short ribs were to die for! Give Georges a visit, I wish I lived here so I could have the pleasure more!

Very good use of what you are given. The atmosphere has a very swanky downtown vibe without being exactly downtown. The food was good with a very nice presentation. My meal was not a knock your socks off type of meal but it was very good and I will come back often. The chef was very welcoming when we arrived and when we were leaving. Very helpful service! I do recommend! Keep it local!
