Wow these condos have come a long way. My family rented these every year in the 80’s and early 90’s. They were OK, kinda old school and just a step above dumpy. Old furniture, less than OK appliances — but direct access to the best beaches in the world. Then in 1995 or 19962 Hurricane took them out. Our family went to Gulf Shores a few times and then we stopped going all together.- the kids(me and my sisters and cousins) all got older and we didn’t always have the same vacation dates off. This year we decided to align our dates and rent again from White Sands. WOW what a change! We rented unit 6 and it was nice. Had an elevator which was nice as we had my 92 year old great aunt and my 82 year great aunt come to visit — and since they are all built up on stilts, the main floor is the 2nd floor. They have 5 bedrooms — upstairs: master with a queen bed with huge bath and closets, another bedroom with 2 full beds, a small room with a large bunk bed and a bathroom in the hall. Downstairs: another larger bedroom with a full size bed and a bathroom. There’s an over size kitchen with stainless steal appliances and all the kitchen utensils needed. There’s a washer and dryer in the downstairs bath that was very useful for doing towels. One of the couches also folds out — so you can sleep one or two people there to. The place comes with wi-fi and cable and we got 3 cars in the garage — granted one of them was a Mini Cooper — but still. There are also 2 parking spots outside. My family is talking about making this a yearly trip again — and both my mom and dad’s side too!
