Mandarin Hill Orchards

Nice place… very personable staff and a lot of history behind this farm. Very close in to I-​80, Rocklin/​Roseville, etc., so if you wnat to make a quick run to get mandarins or some great juice, this is the place!

It was the end of the day and it is the end of the season when I visited Mandarin Hill Orchards. I still was greeted by a very nice gentleman that was gracious at helping me pick out what mandarins they had left. I got a very large bucket for just $ 10.
The gentleman that was working there (the son-​in-​law of the owners I found out) was great at explaining about the difference between Clementines, Cuties, and Mandarins.
The train runs right alongside the ranch, so be prepared to wait when you come or go for the train to go by. I found it rather exciting to get a chance to stop and watch the train.
Located just a few blocks from Taylor Road, you will feel like you are out in the country.
I will definitely go back there next year.
Tip:
Bring your own box or bag to put your mandarins in.
Come early for the best selection.
Call ahead to see if they are having any specials.
Dress warm if it is a cold day.
