After our latest experience at 45th Street Pub, I am appalled. Recent visits would have garnered this pub 4 stars, as the drink specials are outstanding, food is good &the people are usually pleasant, patrons &staff alike. However, the last All You Can Eat Crabs night was insane. in a bad way. Granted, it usually is busy and overcrowded on this day so we waited at the bar for the rest of our party, ordered drinks — that went well. We were seated for a while when finally the waitress greeted us, terirbly frazzled, complaining about the busy establishment &slow kitchen. We were empathetic at first, but it became clear she was as much the cause of the problem. Our order was incomplete, appetizers came out after the meal, we never received crab crackers or butter, the shell bucket continually overflowed, drinks were not refilled &the waitress was not attentive to our table. Other waitresses noticed our needs were not being met and attempted to take care of us. **That’s why I still gave our experience 2 stars** Another table nearby actually encouraged us to complain to mgmt. Once Brenda, the mgr, arrived, she stated it was the waitress’ 2nd week &it was busy, but she would accomodate us. We told her that at this juncture(after being seated for over an hour) we were fine, but wanted to make her aware of the poor service. She insisted that we get what we originally ordered, served us, then when the bill came, they charged us for the items we received in an untimely manner(ex. butter for crabs we no longer were eating!) that we had clearly stated we no longer wanted. Mind boggling. The alleged owner then came to our table from the kitchen in an apron. He was extremely intimidating &attitudinal out the gate, stating the waitress had only been there 2 days(not 2 weeks?) &what do we want him to do about it. Wow. B4 we could re-explain the issues, he interrupted, accusing the table of wanting«free stuff.» WHAT? NO, just the good service for which we are paying, sir, thanks. It was clear no one wanted to hear our grievances so we paid the bill w/o further issue, including the $ 20 gratuity/service charge, &left, The treatment we received at this establishment was unusual and unfair, we will not be returning. EVER. Too many options in the area to go back to 45th St Pub and be mistreated!

Good food and great drinks. Didn’t really like all you can eat crab night it was way to crowded and noisy. The waitress took forever to even bring me my drink and the second batch of crabs was a disappointment … I will definitely go back but on a regular night for wings and drinks

This place is decent. Not immaculate, but not terrible either. I’d give it 3.5 stars if I could. Don’t totally understand the poor reviews. I’ve been a handful of times now with friends, it’s fairly priced and the service has always been decent along with the food which is quite delicious for a suburban bar. The drinks are always good, never watered down or too much of anything. The waitresses are usually attentive and take good enough care of you. Get irish trash Cans and the strawberry daquiris are perfect. Haven’t been on thursdays when this place is supposedly popping(lines out the doors apparently) when they have all u can eat crabs. Its always been moderately filled with people, never packed when i went. I think it’s a nice chill spot when u wanna just drink and eat with friends. *shrug*

On 7⁄17 I went to this place to celebrate my sister getting married. My friend ordered a Long Island Ice Tea that was terrible!!! She told the bartender who was very empathetic and asked would she like a different drink. She ordered a martini which was very good and asked if the Long Island would be taken off our bill. The bartender looked a little hesitant but said she would get the manager. That’s when it got ugly. The manager came over and she continuously cut my friend off when she was trying to explain to her why she didnt like the drink. She kept saying She would make it stronger if you want it stronger, I’ll make it stronger! My friend tried to explain to her that it wasn’t that it wasn’t strong she didn’t like the flavor, the consistency of the sour mix and the Coke was flat. It all fell on deaf ears. To my amazement the manager had the audacity to be argumentative! She then tried to have the owner throw us out! He never attempted to diffuse the situation and he allowed her to make a scene. At one point we had to tell her to leave us alone because of how aggressive she was. I advised I would be leaving a review on Unilocal and she proceeded to threaten us! I have never and will never again go to a place and be treated like a secondhand citizen! Terrible customer service, average drinks and poor management!

Last night was my second time here. Service has been great on both accounts. Food is amazing! «Aunt Sue’s Buffalo Chicken Dip» is a must to try. Wings are great, they have the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever tried, and their BBQ chicken salad is really good. I recommend you try 45th St Pub, despite some of the bad reviews on here. As for the people complaining about the ambience — it’s a pub, not Capital Grille!

Been 3 years since Ive returned. That being said, My coworker wanted to go, tagged along. The menu had extensive overhaul, better stuff. *********************Wait for it******************** Service still SUCKS!!! The barmaid handled all guys at the bar, Only one waitress manning everywhere else. Then after we got there, More patrons came in. Saw the owner, If you know your short –handed, shouldn’t you be stepping up, instead of us waiting for food 25 – 30 minutes, then another 15 – 20 minutes for our checks!!! Apparently still sucks, you can have improvements on your menu, but if you Don’t combine service with food, It’s a NOWINSITUATION! We work, Don’t have 2 hours to spare during lunch. Don’t waste your time, unless you got some to spare…

This place has its good qualities and some really bad ones. This was the old SKYLARK. When it first opened it was better place then it is now. Especially the seafood menu. Now it’s just blah. You can bring the family out and they would enjoy it. Now? Not the same. The good. The wings are off the hook. I usually get the garlic hot extra well. The fajitas are also awesome. And you get a big portion. The rest of the food is no big deal. The drink specials are great. There’s this lemonade drink that’s worth checking out. The older barmaid is super chill. She’s the ONLY1 that can actually carry a good conversation and makes u feel welcome. The bad. Its just Not fun. The ppl who work here are dry and boring. even the ppl who come here are as well. The country Dj sucks. The jukebox plays are always turned down. WHY???I just put 10bucks in and i can barely hear the words. Mind you i play no rap either. Mostly what my girl wants which is Rihanna, Beyonce, Coldplay, Tiesto No pool table. They used to have one. The atmosphere is WAYYYTOBRIGHT. The girls that work here don’t carry any energy. They just sit there and whisper about everyone. Not even cute. Dont believe me go Ull see. I brought my gf here and she thinks it bad. You kinda get this vibe its hard to explain. This was my hometown and it just sucks now. Sorry to say but this place needs a refresh. Hope the owner reads this because im not the only one here that agrees. When i talked to ppl when i was here they said the same thing! This place is good for 2 things, Wings and watching random Phillies game if that.

45th is still barely mediocre. The booths need to be replaced. The menu still needs an overhaul. Crab rangoon is liquid whatever, but certainly not crab. Not worth the $ 7.99 price, and why does it smell fishy out back when the seafood options(Featured front of the menu!) seem to lack… seafood? Anyway, plus 1 star because Kate the waitress is great. She deserves big tips.

Someone had told me this place had some good bar food… Um, not so much. Crab Mac and Cheese was absolutely disgusting… it tasted like a cheesy mush with a dirty fish flavor. Got the Pork Itiliano and it was ridiculously bland. Their version of the Crab Frie is decent, but has nothing on Chickies and Petes in Philly. Please, do not come here for the food.
