Brought my daughter here for a sandwich on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the Number four and she ordered the pork roll breakfast sandwich. Both were tasty. They layout of the place is a little tricky to navigate if you are a first timer, but the service was quick and the place was clean. Prices were decent, and there is indoor dining as well as an outdoor patio for nice days.

Never ordering from here again. I was in a mood for a everything bagel, pork roll egg and cheese with some SPK(salt pepper ketchup). Unfortunately, I only had 3 bites and threw it out. The pork roll was decent but the egg was like that weird foamy egg that they used to have at McDonalds, absolutely gross. Why wouldn’t you cook fresh eggs? There was no sign of SPK on my bagel…

The most disappointing part is watching your eggs microwaved in front of you. This is after waiting a long time to pay. The workers seem to be nice enough but the owner always seems to be unhappy. Sometimes they won’t even sell you a bagel because she wants to save them only for people who buy sandwiches. I went to the bagel shop, for a bagel and got denied? I guess my patronage and time spent in line is worth less than the extra $ 4.00 a sandwich sells for. Go anywhere else, as they will sell you a bagel and actually grill your food.

One of my favorite everything bagels ever! They also have good breakfast sandwiches and great service for how busy they get on weekends.

A true Pennington institution with 5-star quality and 3.5 star service. They always seem very busy which shows you how much people love the bagels, but the wait can be extremely long at times. Go during the off times and you won’t have to worry about it. There sandwiches are a family favorite and they do nice catering trays for an office breakfast.

So the bagels are fine but they don’t wear gloves, when I asked her she says she washed her hands but I wasn’t paying attention. Also they microwaved my eggs. Hopefully I can find a better bagel shop in the area.

I was so hoping for a great bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The bagel was pretty good, but disappointed that egg patty was pre-made then microwaved with the bacon before my breakfast sandwich was assembled.

Pennington bagel is the only place you should go! Not only do they have the best selection of bagels and cream cheeses, they have the best breakfast and lunch sandwiches in town! :)

I had high hopes since we woke up and decided to go here. The other 3 said this place was a little hike since we may have been hungover but that it would be worthwhile n that things were very good and I was starving. Only thing was that maybe the girls working there may be mean so I was told to be prepared. I wasn’t. Cos the one that took my order and the one who rang me up were very nice! Lol. I’ve never been n don’t live close so was compelled to get 3 things. Has I remembered the chicken salad I also would of gotten that as I hear that is good. I got the #2 pastrami which was real good with side of potato salad which was awesome with pieces of egg in it. This made for a good pre ufc snack. Lunch was the maple honey ham with lite scallion cream cheese n cucumber in a wrap. This shit was really fucking good! The meal to start the day n get me back on track after a fun night out was the pork roll egg n pepper jack cheese on everything bagel with bagel. Fresh eggs, tasty bacon n solid pork roll n bagel! Was exactly what I needed n that along with the other two items, all of which were fantastic have me wanting to go back. Even if it is a bit of a hike, I’ll just have to find a reason to be out this way. Close 4.5 stars

Very good bagels! I was surprised to find bagels I liked this much somewhere other than the places in my town. I give four stars because I am a bagel fanatic and I only give 5 stars where I feel like I am getting the best bagel. These bagels were fresh. The girls working were sweet and I really can’t complain. We got a good amount of cream cheese! I was happy with this place and I will be back.

Quick service, fresh Boars Head meats and cheeses and phenominal bagels. Since Cup of Joe closed, I searched for a new breakfast place. I need not search any longer! P-bags is where it’s at! If there’s a better egg/bacon sandwich, I haven’t seen it. These guys are the best.

This place is great. Local family owned. They work really hard and make great bagels great quality food and service. My favorite is the pumpernickel or whole-wheat everything With lox spread on it or try one with avocado Swiss cheese and mayonnaise and get it well done toasted

Been coming here since I was 13ish — so that’s a good 18 years of experience — and to this day if there’s a better sausage egg & cheese bagel sandwich out there, I’ve yet to find it. The bagels aren’t the absolute best I’ve had, but they’re close, and always fresh. All the standard variations(especially the egg, egg everything, and pumpernickel) are excellent. I tend to stay away from the desserty bagels(e.g. cinnamon sugar and blueberry crunch or something like that) but they look pretty good too. The coffee is decent. Yeah, it’s young HoVal kids working behind the counter and they can be slow/inattentive, but for goodness sake, it’s a bagel shop! And it’s the best I’ve ever found in the area.

I ordered a bagel with butter and a pork roll, egg, and cheese on a bagel. While the bagel itself was good, I was really disappointed to see that they do not have a grill, and instead seemingly microwave their breakfast sandwiches. That being said, the store itself was nice inside and clean, and the service was good and speedy overall.

A cultural landmark. When I think of the way a bagel is supposed to taste, I think of these. I’ve been told by friends that prefer Einstein Bagel that these are«too doughy», but I’m no longer friends with those people. People say their sandwiches are good, but I pretty much always get my bagels toasted with cream cheese, or take home a dozen. As others have mentioned, pissy highschool girls that move slow as all hell work here. That’s part of the appeal.

I was looking to get a pork roll, egg, and cheese bagel while in town(can’t find them in FL). I noticed they didn’t have a grill and was told they nuke everything. I left and went to Deli on a Bagel instead that actually cooks their food instead of microwaving it.

Best bagels In NJ. Real deal! Excellent Lox and Egg and cheese. Ordering and paying can take awhile but call ahead helps. Owners are great too!

Pennington bagel is a bit of a misnomer. You can definitely get your standard bagel with your schmear of cream cheese here but what you really want to get are the sandwiches. They probably make some of the best sandwiches in town. I can’t give it the coveted 5 star rating but they’re close. I can’t believe I waited so long before trying this place… I will report back once I explore more of their menu.

As a native New Yorker, I’m used to authentic bagels. We’ve been in New Jersey a little over a year now, and I love going to the Pennington Bagel Experience. It’s a lively place, especially in the am which is when I go there with my wife, usually after we drop off our daughter at school. The bagels are always fresh, the service is always fast, friendly and pleasant. I highly recommend the Pennington Bagel Experience to anyone that loves bagels or good coffee.
