THISPLACEISAMAZINNNG! Very fun, nice servers and a very cute place to eat. You can also buy a bunch frozen or have it delivered or ready for pick up to eat in the comfort of your home. They even offer pierogi making classes that I will be looking in to. :) They menu is often changing so you should always go back to try new things. I liked every thing that I ordered and the dessert was much better than I expected since it was interestingly flavored. I will definitely be going back and I highly recommend Pierogi in a Pinch!

O. M. G. This. Place. Was. MAGICAL! Say what? Polish food in little Pendleton, Indiana? Yes! You heard right! And it’s delicious! First off, other than being a little loud, the place itself was bright and cheery, with pierogi pictures on a neat-looking brick wall. The waitress was very nice. The food was specatcular… all of it. The mixed cheese pierogi, sweet potato pierogi, and kielbasa/sauerkraut pierogi were super good, but the star of the show was definitely the sharp cheddar pierogi. I could have eaten 12 of those puppies. The sides were equally glorious. The latkes were really yummy… sort of like a hash brown, potato, pancake hybrid… just try it. The green beans were surprisingly awesome… they were in some sort of onion vinaigrette. The apples with cinnamon were also delicious. And the sausage… oh, the sausage. Save yourself the mouthwatering over other people’s plates and order the sausage platter so that you get pierogies AND sausage. It’s worth it. I’m not a huge sausage fan, but it was DIVINE. Next time I might get macaroni and cheese… not the most Polish of the side options, but they got it at the table next to us and oh, boy, did it look good. This is the kind of restaurant that makes me bring out all the«wonderfuls» and«deliciouses» because there’s really no other way to describe it… every single thing I tasted was awesome. Totally new to Unilocal,but after eating here last Friday I had to post on here about how INCREDIBLE this place is! The food is phenomenal and the service incredible! My wife and I came here while out on our Anniversary«date» and I have to say we discovered a treasure. The potato pancakes are amazing! We really enjoyed the pierogi’s especially the pumpkin ale cheesecake one! Definitely will be back… many times!

I had the three pierogi meal. The pierogis were good. The latke was thinner than I am used too but it was good too. The cucumber salad was very good but the size of the slices were very irregular. Some were thin and other were very thick. Service was very good. The price was on the steep side. $ 2.75 for a bottle of iced tea is very high. $ 3 for a bottle of coke is also very high.

My roommate and I both have Polish roots… so when we did some research and found a pierogi place… it got moved to the top of our list for restaurants we want to try. We made the drive to Pendleton on a Thursday night and couldn’t be happier that we did! They have pierogi flavors of the month, but since we went on the 1st day of a new monthly, we had double the selection. You can buy pierogies individually, in different bulk options, or opt for a plate which I did. With that, you get to choose 3 pierogi flavors and two sides. I chose the pulled pork, sharp cheddar/potato, and spinach Alfredo pierogies with a side of Mac & cheese and kraut. I think my taste buds did the happiest of dances, especially with the pulled pork! We also tried the dessert s’more pierogi, kolache, and paczki for dessert which did not disappoint. Every thing was homemade and wonderfully prepared! The service was fabulous. My only complaint is that next time, we will pick up our order rather than dine in. There was poor ventilation. Our eyes were watering the whole time as if someone were cutting onions and blowing smoke in them at the same time. It was pretty painful. Nevertheless, I can’t wait to try more pierogi flavors :-)

HOLYSMOKE!!! AWSOME !!! SMACHNEY’ I never knew there was such a place and it is practically in my back yard. I have lived near Pendleton for some time now and have made many trips to Detroit and Chicago for such delicacies. I recently took up the challenge and tradition of making them myself for the holidays. Trust me when I say this is no easy task. These are as good as grandma used to make. The dough was tender and delicious while the stuffing was even better! The place was clean, quaint! The staff, well she was great. I was even allowed to look at the pierogi press. I just might need to invest in one! If you have never tried pierogis these are as good as I have had and or made. Well worth the time to try. I can’t wait for them to get some good authentic polish sausage! It will be such a great addition!

This place is the real deal. In business since 2009 when they started selling at the Fishers farmer’s market, they opened the brick and mortar store in January of this year. The space is small — four tables for seated dining, as well as a takeout counter. It was full most of the time we were there. We were seated right away and given a menu, then plenty of time to decide what we wanted. We both got Pierogi Platters — 3 pierogis and two sides for $ 10.99, with a half of a piece of kielbasa. I had two cheddar and potato and one Philly Steak pierogis, with sides of potato pancake and applesauce. The pierogis were wonderful. Hubby got different ones than me, and got potato pancake and sauerkraut sides. He’s from Cleveland so he knows his pierogis, and he was impressed — he even said they were better than the ones we’d had in Cleveland the last time we were there. That says something — he’s very discerning about food. There’s a freezer where you can choose frozen pierogis to take home(we didn’t, only because we weren’t going straight home). The menu is constantly changing, as they have pierogis of the month, but they also have the classics. For some reason, it took an extra few minutes for my potato pancake to come out, but when it did, it was bigger than my hubby’s, which made up for it. It was a little soggy, but was delicious. Hubby thought, and I agreed, that the kielbasa was more of a smoked sausage, but it didn’t really matter, because it was very flavorful, and the perfect complement to the pierogis. The applesauce is basically a cup of Mott’s with some cinnamon thrown on top — the ONLY suggestion I have is to get rid of the cups and serve it on the plate, or in a small bowl. Otherwise, it was all great comfort food, and the presentation was nice. We ordered the apple caramel pierogis for dessert, and Jen was gracious enough to give us a blueberry one as well for free, because she thought we had waited too long. We didn’t think it was too long, especially given how busy they were, but it was really nice. Jen brought the food out herself, which was also a nice touch. The restaurant is super clean, and you get real silverware and plates. Drinks come from a cooler on the counter, and are all bottled, with a nice selection of water, pop, frappucino and other drinks. Heck, even the restroom was clean. All in all, authentic pierogis for a good price, with personal service. You can’t get better than this anywhere.

Legit. I ordered a dozen mix matched perogi to go. Boy did I buy too much! These things are big, filling and very flavorful. I tried the cheddar potato, potato onion dill, beef taco, champagne chicken, and sausage sauerkraut perogis. I would gladly order each one again. The staff was friendly and treated me like a friend. Looking forward to my next visit.

REDALERT! REDALERT! You need to get to Pendleton for authentic pierogis! Nevermind those factory-made, mass-produced, artificial potato-stuffed pierogis you find in the frozen food aisle. Pierogi In A Pinch’s products are made right here in Indiana and are STUFFED with both your traditional and more creative fillings, such as garlic mashed potato, sharp cheddar potato, corned beef and cabbage, smoked stuffed ham, kielbasa and sauerkraut, and spinach and artichoke. Whether you’re eating at the restaurant, carrying out, or cooking ‘em up in your own kitchen(you can buy them frozen at the restaurant, R2GO, or the Fishers Farmers Market), these dumplings will make you think that someone’s Polish grandmother prepared them for you. Lucky us to have a little bit of Eastern Europe right here in Central Indiana!

The pierogi’s were the bomb! But you’d expect that, and they deliver. I had one each of Cheese, Ham, and spinach & artichoke. They were delicious. The Potato Pancake, it was rather average, but still good.(I would recommend that they should allow a substitute for that on the Pierogi Plater. Like adding 2 more delicious Pierogi’s.) The side item I tried was the Mac & Cheese, and it also was delicious. Overall I’d give it 4 stars, I almost gave it 3, the reduction is mainly because of the kolaczki. They are small for the price(as they usually are small) but not worth the $ 1.00 a piece. They were not very tasty. Maybe if they were awesome, I’d have been glad to pay a dollar each.

Polish fare in Pendleton? Well drizzle me in butter and serve me with sauerkraut and a potato pancake. My mother’s family is Polish and growing up Mom(and Grandma) were always good for something with potatoes and pork. Pierogi really take many different forms in Eastern Europe but I would classify these as being Polish style. There are actually so many different varieties served here that I think they have taken on a life of their own. Somehow I doubt my great grandpa Stanislaus ever curled up with a nice plate of champagne chicken pierogi. But Jen(the owner) has come up with such a wide variety that there is something for everyone. The shop is very quaint and no frills. You order at the counter and have a seat and your order is brought in short order. They bring real silverware out as well(nice touch!) The menu and varieties vary… some old standby pierogi such as cheddar and potato are daily offerings but occasionally you see spinach and artichoke or mushroom/kraut. On my three visits I have ordered a platter which is three pierogi of your choice with a potato pancake and either sauerkraut or applesauce. Every time the lunch has been lights out good. I think it’s partially that this is just such a familiar flavor for me. My wife and I split a strawberry cheesecake pierogi served with whipped cream and chocolate. So good. There are also different items they are trying out(Polish hoagie for instance). Presumably this is Jen’s first foray into the restaurant business… she has been selling frozen pierogi for some time now in the area. I sincerely hope she does well; the food is good, the service is very pleasant and done with a smile. This is a great local business to try out and worth a trip up to Pendleton.

Pierogi in a Pinch brings a little taste of Cleveland to Pendleton. I stumbled across them when I saw a photo on my Unilocal front page – I immediately e-mailed DBF«WEHAVETOGOHERE!» It’s a small shop in the downtown area with a counter, a few tables, and a freezerful of pierogi. We got the platter with a cheddar and potato, beef and onion, and Italian sausage and mozzarella, as well as a pumpkin pierogi because I’ll try anything pumpkin-flavored.(We got a complimentary one as well – thanks!) The dough is light and delicate but not fragile, and the filling is well-seasoned and flavorful. The pumpkin pierogi turned out to not really be to our taste, but I liked that the pumpkin filling was savory as a contrast to the caramel sauce and cinnamon drizzled over. I spent the first twenty-two years of my life ignorant of the joys of pierogi, until DBFMADE me go to Parma Pierogi(and a good thing he did, they closed shortly thereafter). I’d been afraid that moving to central Indiana would leave me pierogi-free once again, but Pierogi in a Pinch has spared me that fate!

Cute authentic eastern european pierogi. I love the beef and onion! It’s counter service for dine in or take out. They also have frozen pierogi packaged to prepare at home. All hand made, awesome and a real find in Pendleton.
