Wonderful atmosphere, food prepared with utmost care and attention, great wine and beer selection! What more can you ask for? Btw, their growler fills are the best prices I have seen. Sometimes it’s the small things that really stick out — they cut a bagel into vertical thin slices to complement wonderful soup!

I love this place! The atmosphere is fabulous and the staff are terrific! I have dietary restrictions and they were ready to accommodate. I also love that they use as much local produce, meats, breads, etc. My sandwich was huge and lovely! I can’t wait to go back again!

This place has an atmosphere close to none. I haven’t been in this restaurant while live music is playing but I would love to see how much better it could really get! The food has big portions and tastes amazing!

One of our favorite hangouts in Pendleton. Always the freshest food. The service is great and they also have entertainment that is out of the ordinary.

This place is one of my favorites in Pendleton. It is a coffee shop/café as well as selling a great selection of wine and beer. I have come here in the morning for breakfast as well as live music and drinks in the evening. I would highly recommend and I plan to keep coming!

The food is Great. The service however, in my personal experience(Each of the 5 times I have been) was sub par. Staff was rude, and visibly annoyed. One staff member rolled her eyes at me. Today I on my work lunch, my co workers sent me to GP to get us all Lunch. I arrived to a nearly empty establishment and it took my entire Hour long lunch to receive one salad and three sandwiches. So great food, but I’m disappointed in the service.

Their sandwiches are really pretty great. Very unique and always delicious. I hate to pay as much as they charge for a sandwich, but I really can’t say that the value isn’t there. They have a few other food options, but they’re mostly appetizers(the mushroom brie is fantastic). They have a lot of live music and a casual, relaxed atmosphere. They have some beer and wine, but it’s not a bar and options are fairly limited. Usually, they’ll have one or two domestic staples, a stout or two, and a bunch of over-hopped hipster beer. I don’t drink coffee, but a lot of people like theirs. But all in all, it’s fun, it’s tasty, and it’s got a younger crowd. I would easily recommend trying it.

Ask a Unilocal Whisperer QOTD(Question of the Day) December 23, 2014 Dear YW, it’s like this: I’m being«dragged» by mi madre y padre to Pendleton, Oregon for a long weekend and I sooooo dread the whole cowboy hat and whiskey thing. I’d really like to ditch the parental units for a couple of hours while they are having thick-cut steaks and Walla Walla red wine at Hamleys. Got any tips for a local hot spot with craft beer, wine by the glass, and honest-to-goodness vegetarian options? Oh, and I’d like to eat for under $ 20, too. Live music would totally be cool as well. Got all that? Gimme what you got, muchacho. Muchisimas gracias! Maria J. Lompoc, CA Hi there, Maria! Take my advice and hit up Great Pacific. It’s a hybrid kind of coffeehouse meets wine shop meets craft beer and pizza sort of place, with local live music and weekend jam sessions(guitars, fiddles, harmonicas, that sort of thing) as well. Very popular with Pendletonians young and old, from toddler to octogenarian and a lot of 20s, 30s, and 40s mixed up in the middle. They have pretty decent wine by the glass options in the $ 5 – 8 range and some cool OR and WA beer on tap in the $ 4 – 7 range, plus a lot of bottles in coolers and along the walls for take out purchase or in-store drinking. Food is soup, salad, sandwich and pizza kind of stuff, with specials and sweet treats too. I’d get a personal-sized meatless pizza — lots of fresh veg on a hand-tossed crust with sauce and cheese, and then have a pint of local brew from the rotating taps. Grab a seat close to the front, where local musicians gather for impromptu sessions. It’s a neat spot on Saturday and Sunday nights in winter, when the sun sets by 5 pm and you really want a comfortable, lively sort of place to hang out, read a book, eat a simple but satisfying meal, and soak up a little of Pendleton that isn’t about round-ups or woolen blankets. Grab a coffee or some beans before you leave — you know, for the road. Oh, and don’t forget the hot sauces at the condiment tables! They go real nice with that vegetarian pizza and cold beer. GP is not exactly like a great Californian taqueria, but it’s pretty darn close in terms of affordability, food and drink options, and general come-on-in, no reservations needed kind of vibe. I don’t think you — or your parents — would mind. Just try to keep it a secret from them or else they’ll be joining you at the table, too! Happy trails and travels, Maria. Hope that eastern Oregon is everything you hope it will be.

The«GP» is a conglomerate of a bottle, coffee and sandwich shop that also has live music from time to time. A buddy and I stopped into this place on a long road trip through Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. It was really everything we were looking for in a stop … a place to get a sandwich, beer and coffee; in that order. The sandwich hit the spot, it was a daily special with turkey and some kind of mustard and cheese on tasted rye bread, really good. The beer selection was pretty good, they offer bottles and beers on tap. I had a Oregon IPA, but I’m sure they rotate so you’ll find something else. All in all this place was a hit. The food is top notch and the ability to get tapped beer at a coffee shop seems like a great idea to me. This place is pretty hip, from the brick building to the staff, you might feel like you’re not in a small town in Oregon. I didn’t.

Excellent gourmet pizza !!! And drinks are anything you could want and all at a high quality. Frequently has live music and always a comfortable place to sit and enjoy either a snack or meal or just a drink. Also extensive line of wines available.
