I had been meaning to try Ruchi for over a year and finally I was able to! Wow was it amazing! They had a diverse menu and really a lot to choose from. They were able to accommodate another person’s inability to take hot food and customized their curry. The Naan bread was fantastic, as well as the apps we had. I ordered the onion bhaji but the server heard something else and brought out a paneer dish. After I explained that wasn’t what I wanted they immediately apologized and put the bhaji order in. They also asked me to keep the paneer back because they would rather us enjoy it than take it back to the kitchen, which was very kind of them. The staff were top notch and always kept track of what our tables needs were! I will gladly be returning to Ruchi sooner rather than later!

Came in for the weekend lunch buffet last week. The restaurant is clean and servers friendly. They have a decent buffet selection, although I wish they had samosas. I especially liked the chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, and poori; they were very good. Some of the dishes could have been heated more, but overall good experience.

We love this place! We happened upon it searching for Indian Restaurants. We’ve been hooked since the first time we went. The buffet is amazing with a great price. I love the malai kofta(the best in town). The owner and staff are amazing. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Great Indian food! I want to go and actually sit and eat next time. I just got the food to go from the buffet. My first time eating Indian food… and it was a great spot to pick.

My first time eating at an Indian restaurant and was totally sold. The people were really nice. The food was good and the bill was moderate. The Garlic Naan was excellent.

Unassumingly located in a suburban strip mall between a Burger King, a pool maintenance store and a Cuban bakery, Ruchi indian restaurant quietly offers some of the area’s tastiest food. The meals are fantastic. All of the foods here spiced very well, giving them strong, authentic tastes. The meats are tender and succulent, with everything from chicken to seafood and even game. The chicken tikka masala is outstanding. Goat biriyani, tossed rice with meat and spices, is also quite aromatic and incredibly tasty. The vegetarian dishes are just as good, and the deserts are not to be passed over. The place has a homey feel that’s curiously apt for the cuisine, and has excellent service to boot. The weekend lunch buffet is heavenly and inexpensively, totally worth putting on your calendar. This is one of the West Broward’s best places to eat.

We came across Ruchi on our way back from Everglade City. It was the best Indian meal we’ve had in many years. The hostess explained how the chef grinds and mixes his own spices daily, and makes everything to order. It really was that good. for desert we had the homemade mango kuhli. it was served for some re a son with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles. once we pushed thataside, the mango flavor was delicious. Perfect ending. The only negative was the owner, who kept promoting their other locations. He interrupted our meal twice to ask where we were staying and how long we’d be there, and then telling us to visit their location in the area. He even asked where we live, which I reluctantly told him, and he suggested we visit their location on the other side of the state. Sorry, but I’m not driving 300 miles round trip for dinner. We give Ruchi 4 stars for the food. Would have been 5 if not for the intrusive owner.

We came here for the maharaja buffet on Sunday. Someone recommended the place very strongly. The place looks good and the décor is normal. Nothing fancy but nothing wrong as well. There is one plate of chaat that comes to the table. That was very tasty. We went for the maharajah buffet. The spread was the highlight of this place. Chicken kebab platter along with chole batura for starters, chicken biryani, butter chicken, allepay fish curry and a lamb dish for the main course along with rice and a paneer dish and a palak dish for the veggie lovers. The lamb was very good. The fish had great flavor but was watery in texture. Everything else was mediocre. I think the spice levels were more catered to international customers. Every dish had much less level of heat than they were supposed to. The batura was very well done. Small bite sized baturas cooked to perfection looked really fine dining an were also tasty. The choley was a total disappointment. Dessert was gulab jamun and carrot halwa. The jamun had too much mawa — and did not seem fresh. And was too sweet. Which usually I don’t bother to mention in the reviews since I prefer less sweetness in desserts. But in this case all of us at the table agreed that it was too sweet. So it’s worth a mention. Overall I would rate as — Ambience — 4⁄5 Food taste — 3⁄5 Presentation −3÷5 Food quantity — NA since we are the buffet Service — 4⁄5 Price — 3⁄5 Overall maybe 3⁄5. Not a place I would come again unless I have great company to compensate :)

I went from loving this place to well… let’s just say I won’t be going back any time soon. We went for the lunch buffet last week and the place was rather empty. There might have been one or two other tables and that is it. The buffet has either gone downhill fast or it was just an off day. The salad was old, they didn’t have the chicken tikka masaala and there were tiny pieces of chicken bone in the chicken dishes. I was taking tiny bites but still almost chocked on a small piece of bone. The trays of food were only about one third full and some looked like it could be from the day before. The service was good however I can get a descent chicken meal in about 100 different places for the same price and find better quality.

I am always on the prowl for good Indian food. So, when I am on the hunt, and I see a highly rated spot on Unilocal,I pounce. My weekly hankering for Indian food kicked in early in the week, and I wanted to try some place new as I have yet to find a suitable Indian restaurant near Fort Lauderdale(Don’t even say Bombay café. Unilocalers got that place soooo wrong). You see, I have two places I love 1) Arun in Coral Springs and 2) Bombay Darbar in South Miami. The problem is, I live 30 – 45 minutes from both locations, so I i’m in a bit of a pickle. Ruchi solves this problem(I work near here). Décor: 3 Where Arun is a very chill take out place, and the new Bombay Darbar presents a more upscale vibe, Ruchi lands somewhere in the middle of the two. A nice restaurant situated in a shopping center. Food: 4.5 Boom. I ordered the lamb rogen josh, butter chicken, garlic and cheese naan. Everything was amazing. But for comparison sake: Bombay has the best rogen josh, Arun has the best butter chiken/tika masala. Ruchi has great both, but not the best of either(their rogen josh was definitely better than Arun’s, however). Portions: 3 Medium to small portions comparable to Bombay Darbar. Definitely not the huge portions served at Arun. Price: 2.5 Priced the same as Bombay Darbar. This is probably the biggest weakness of the place. I feel Bombay can get away with their prices because of location and their new fancy restaurant, but the food definitely seems pricey here. Arun serves more food for $ 3-$ 6 dollars cheaper per meal. Service: 5 I think I was served by the owner, but I am not sure. He was very nice and attentive. Food came out about 10 minutes after ordering. There were few people in the restaurant, however, therefore this could have impacted results. Overall: 4(3.6) I weigh food more than any other category so I would definitely say this is a solid 4. Go here. Just do it! DOOOOIIIIIIIIITTTTT!

Everything about this place is AMAZING! I’ve been here about 4 – 5 times, and I’ve never had a bad experience. From the staff to the food, everything gets an A+ in my book. I’ve dined here for both lunch and dinner. If you’re new to Indian cuisine I recommend first going during lunch because they offer a buffet. So you can pretty much sample a majority of their popular dishes and figure out what you like and what you don’t like. But if you do come during lunch you aren’t limited to the buffet, you can still order off of the regular menu. For the lunch buffet they have a salad bar, then their entrée bar(rice, curry, a variety of different dishes– so many I can’t remember lol), then last but not least dessert, which usually is rice pudding. If you’re ordering off the menu my go to’s are: — Butter Chicken — Tikka Masala(you can chose either chicken, lamb, shrimp) — Tandoori Chicken I personally don’t think you can go wrong with these options. But for those who are not apart of the meat eating family they do have a vegetarian and vegan section. And please, pleeeease order the naan! It’s a white flour bread that will pretty much taste delicious with any entrée you order. My favorite is the garlic naan. But not to worry, if you’re more of a rice person, majority of entrée dishes comes with a side of basmati rice. The way the dishes are served as well are potluck style, so if you’re with a group, each bowl has a serving spoon and you can try and share all around the table. It also gets really busy at night, peak hours seem to be around 8, coming after that time, you might have to wait a bit for a table. But it’s definitely worth it! So pretty much whenever I’m craving Indian food, this is my go to spot!

Ruchi is the place to get Indian cuisine in Pines. The sauces are so vibrant and flavorful that they transport you to India minus the pricey airline ticket. They also play colorful and fun music videos that help set the scene for the evening. Chicken Tikka Masala(medium) is always delicious. So is the chicken tandoori, served on top of amazing fresh veggies. It’s worth trying. My husband and I will continue to be repeat customers when our Indian cravings kick in.

The price was great. The food was good. I even liked the iced tea. We weren’t crazy about the dessert(rice pudding or a sweet carrot dish). But that is just us, we are American and nothing short of French pastry lovers; so it is not the fault of the dessert. Service was very good. The owners care about their business and are good stewards.

I have seen this place pop up a few times on my feed, and heard nothing but great things. Came in here the other day with my friend for lunch, since we were being so indecisive on what to eat. For $ 9.99 you can have their lunch buffet that comes with an array of their best dishes, salad bar and desert. This is going to be my go to spot for lunch when I am in Pines, especially when I am bored with everything else. The food is healthy, cheap, and It’s great service. This restaurant is also perfect if you’re vegan/vegetarian.(They have specific sections on their menu items designated to that.) Overall, this place gave me a new love for Indian food that I never had before! Will be back!

I have family friends who moved from Fort Lauderdale to Sebring, so when I saw them posting on facebook about their favorite Indian place moving from Sebring to Broward I took note. I even listed the business on Unilocal immediately and took note of their 5 star reviews at the Sebring location! So, I finally found myself in Pembroke Pines and took the opportunity to check out Ruchi. I wasn’t really hungry enough to do the lunch buffet, and was given the option to order off the menu, but I decided to go the buffet option anyways and take it all in. $ 15 for lunch buffet on the weekends. First off I need to mention the service! Even if the food was mediocre I’d probably come back here because the service was so great. Waters were refilled. Buffet was properly explained. We were checked on multiple times to take plates away and explain the appetizer they had dropped off to our table… I definitely felt very welcome. Also I need to mention how busy they were! For an afternoon Saturday lunch I was surprised at how many people were here. And lots of Indian people too, so I’m going to trust the authenticity of the food based on their attendance :) Ok so to the food! As I said an appetizer came with the buffet, as well as fresh naan bread from the back. I wasn’t a fan of the appetizer, but the naan was spot on and delicious, helped by the fact they had lots of dipping options at the buffet. The buffet covered everything from salads to desserts and had I believe 10+ meat and vegetarian options to go with the 2 rice options. The goat was of course my favorite! And then when you’re stuffed there are 3 desserts. None of which were that spectacular for me, and I found them a little weird, but I was impressed at the options. I’m giving the food 4 stars and the service 5 stars. I don’t always think buffets are the best representation of food as it’s safe to assume things will have been sitting around for awhile, but I’m excited to return for dinner and do some non-buffet options as no doubt that food will be even better!
