Paradise Spa Salon

I really wanted to like this place since it has so many good reviews. I came in hoping to get a massage but they informed me they no longer do massages. So I still decided to get my hair cut. That was a big mistake. I’m not going to day the name of the woman who cut my hair BC I feel bad that this happened, and was most likely a mistake on her part. But I have pretty short hair. An inverted Bob haircut. The last person I went to didn’t cut my hair correctly so I came to them to get it fixed. I wanted to thin out my hair on the sides since my hair is so thick that it often makes my face look very round since my hair poofs out on the sides. I also told her I wanted to fix the angle my hair was cut at and fix the layers in the back. Well she was thinning my hair out with thinning shears and it was lovely… until she chopped off an inch WIDE section of my hair that was framing my face! I was really upset that she did that BC it was obviously a mistake and I did not want that to happen! So she cut the same amount off the other side so it looked even. I have to give her points for making the mistake look like she meant to do it on purpose, but I did not want that, and I was very clear on what I wanted. Instead of admitting she made a mistake and offering any kind of service to make up for it, she instead acted like she meant to do it and covered up her mistake by saying «now you can see more of your face». Well, now I am missing an inch section of my hair on both sides of my face and it is not what I waved since I’m planning on growing my hair out and getting extensions. If you’re going to use thinning shears, you should know how to use them so you don’t chop off your customers hair by accident. Never going back here again!

I’ve been going to a paradise for about 15 years since they opened at their 1^st location. The owners are wonderful people and the staff is pretty awesome. The atmosphere is beautiful, calming, and everyone is courteous. Appointments are consistently on time (rare for Jamaicans :-) speaking as one), and pricing is very reasonable. There are many hair stylists, several manicure and pedicure stations and separate sections for washing, dryers, spa services (massages & facials) & nail services. A lot of places you go to say they are a «spa» and have no accommodations and few services. Paradise has a lot of really talented meticulous technicians of various talents employed under one roof. It is consistently a pleasure to do business with Paradise — which is probably evident in how long I have patronized their establishment and the lovely healthy hair I acquired since becoming a patron. 5 stars all the way!

Great service and great people. A great place for superior manicures and pedicures!
