Cheap gym– was ok for groupon deal but otherwise wouldnt pay regular price. The class instructors often do not show and the class schedule changes without updating members(and onlines is completely wrong which they ARE aware of… but wont change.) the machines seem they are donated secondhand. All are crickety and old. Most of the gym caters to MMA fighting so if thats your style workout go for it, but not suitable for average person

Ah man, I hate writing nasty reviews. Just keeeding, I love it. What you’ve got to know is that I am all pink bunnies and sugar fluff — until you piss me off. And sorry for you Amp Fitness, but the asshole kid sitting at your front desk… severely. pissed. me. off. As far as gyms go, Amp Fitness is fine. It’s not the biggest facility out there, but you also don’t have the crowds you do at LA or 24 hour Fitness either. So all in all, it’s average. I hate to rate the gym so poorly as a whole based upon one bad apple, but when I get pissed off, I don’t do it lightly, and I just won’t feel justice until I publicly call out the smug mother facker with his stupid elastic headband and unjust vainglorious attitude. All I did was walk in the door and meet my trainer and friends on the gym floor. This is the same thing I did the last time I came… and the time before that… and the time before that. This time though, once I’m settled in with a weight in hand, Mr. pompous-desk-boy comes back to where I’m training and gives me a patronizing wave in my face before telling me that I have to check in at the front. But he didn’t say it in a way like most normal people would, like«hey by they way…» he came back with such a jerk attitude and was so rude and extremely condescending in his tone that it immediately flipped my switch. His attitude was so pungent that I could visualize him as a little boy chasing lizards and pulling the tails off for fun. His attitude was so nasty, I would bet money that he presses the door-close button in elevators as he sees someone walking up. His attitude was so repellent that I’d almost guarantee he liters and says something like«I’ll already be dead before anything bad happens.» You get the picture, he was gross. So anyhow, I follow him up the front(now cutting in to my training time) where he then says«Yeah so I’m sitting here at the front desk for a reason.» And says it like a real asshole. He then told me that I had to pay the $ 5 guest fee. I explained to him that since I’ve started there, I’ve been paying the gym fee as well as my training fee at the end. Well, I might as well have punched him in the face with how he reacted. Had he actually greeted me when I walked in and asked me to pay then, I would have gladly handed over the 5 bucks upfront instead of at the end of my session like I’ve been doing… but he didn’t do that. He didn’t greet me as I walked in and still didn’t say a word as I passed right by him to get to the floor. So don’t be mad at me because you didn’t do your job. And I’m not mad about having to follow protocol, if they want their guest fee at the beginning of my time instead of at the end, that’s fine and I totally understand all of that, but when I am given such uncalled for attitude, I’ve got to express my grievances. It might seem as though I am being overly contentious and making a mountain out of a mole hill, but really, not enough can be said about good customer service. It’s fine with me if you want to be a dick on your own time, but when I am handing over my money and patronizing a business, I expect to be treated courteously.
