This was amazing! Our tour guide was excellent and highly knowledgeable about everything from the construction, to the workings/milling process, the history, and each piece of equipment. We came late, just before closing, and he gave us a rush tour, while still covering every aspect. I would love to go back when I have more time. I grew up close to Pella, and this didn’t exist when I was there, but what an outstanding addition to the town. It is an actual working mill whose only customer is Jaarsma bakery which uses the flour for their Mill Bread. It was constructed in the Netherlands then shipped piece by piece and reconstructed in Pella. It is a replica of how a mill would have been in 1847 which is the year of Pella’s founding. This place *has* to put Pella on the map!
