I continue to stop here when passing through and always enjoy the dogs. They have a much larger menu since their move, but to be honest, I will always think of it as a place to get a dog. The dogs themselves are large and flavorful. Rick splits them and and grills them to add to the flavor. They have a good salt level. I recommend the Dixie Dog, with slaw and chili. They have a good(although mild) chili sauce that is clearly homemade specifically for dogs. This is a good thing. I hate it when you order a chili dog and get bowl chile with beans in it. I also recommend ordering grilled onions on it. Just ask them to grill the onions a little harder. They are normally a little too gentle with them. When I have asked for this, they have been perfect. I also have discovered that I really like their slaw. It is on the sweet side, but not overly so and has some vinegar to give it backbone. My rating is for the dogs alone and I’m sure I’m being a little generous because I like the place. I’m sure that the balance of the menu rates a solid three. This is probably one of the better places to eat in Pella based on my experiences.
