What a fun tour! So many authentic and authentically re-created exhibits from a wooden shoe factory to the first bakery to Wyatt Earp’s childhood residence.(Ha! Bet you didn’t know he grew up in Iowa, did you?) Our tour guide was warm, funny, and highly knowledgeable. They’re in the middle of rebuilding an earth home which were some of the original shelters for the community over the first hard Iowa winter. Upstairs in one building is a huge room with a detailed, model, reconstructed Dutch village. So much more I could say, but just go and experience it for yourself.
