Med MD Plus

I had the displeasure of falling for the scam that this business is currently running. They advertise a weight loss program that you come in and do an initial visit. Then you come in twice a week for shots that increase your metabolism or something similar. However I did my first visit on June 10^th which consisted of him checking my blood pressure and putting a stethoscope on my back for a second. This costs $ 45 and a $ 10 shot totaling $ 55. However I noticed that since it is a weight loss program they would check weight and BMI and percentage of body fat. Things like that however none of that was done. I was told the shots were something I come in twice a week to do and no appointment is needed but of course that wasn’t the case. I signed in the first time I came back and 20 minutes later still nothing so I left. When I called back the staff works really hard to keep you from communicating with the doctor. Which resulted in the office manager calling me back and asking me what did I expect a lot of times. She had an attitude the entire time and refused to give me a refund even after she had said what the appointment was supposed to consist of for a new weight loss patient which mine did not. The $ 45 was more important than doing right by their patient who felt slighted. The office manager told me she was ending the call and if I called back she wouldn’t answer. The receptionist says out loud why you are visiting the office in front of everyone and privacy is obviously not taken seriously. I feel like I fell for a scam with this business and the chance they had to make it right was squandered because of the office managers pride and the lack of foresight from this office. I will be filing official complaints with this business since the office chose not to resolve the issue. I hope this serves as a warning to the potential victims of this business.

This was my first visit to Dr. Hankins and my first ‘annual checkup’ in about 14 years. My experience with doctors offices in the past has been that I normally felt like I was being rushed through. In contrast to those past experiences, I was extremely pleased that Dr. Hankins took his time with me and made certain he answered all my questions. I felt I got true quality, un-​rushed one-​on-​one time and that my concerns were important to Dr. Hankins. I definitely recommend Dr. Hankins and the Med MD Plus practice.
