Extensive menu, friendly service, generous portions and affordable prices. We discovered this gem while house hunting in Pelham this past weekend, and it provided us a place to grab a quick bite and rest our tired feet. The one thing I would have liked to see different/improved is the ambience. Somewhat dated and could use a refresh in terms of paint and furniture. Overall felt a little unkempt, but saved by clean bathrooms. A special shout out to our server who was friendly, responsive and attentive. Looking forward to going back once we move to that part of the country.

Its a decent restaurant with great tasting food. I’ve had almost all of their wraps and I must say they’re all extremely satisfying. There’s nothing wrong i can say about this place but that they’re not open late enough for me to catch dinner but definitely worth a lunch outing. People who work here are really nice and chatty.

I like this place the food is great, the service is the best. Very nice waitress, but there is 2 bad things about this place. The ac never works been going there for years and it never works properly. When its really hot and you want to eat nice and cool. This is not the place to do that. Another is the heat in the winter also never works properly. I wish they would fix these issues. I really love this place.

Nice patio and fine food. Full diner menu but for my dollar the Mexican breakfast dishes are best.

After years of coming here, after years of visiting pretty much every other diner, it’s pretty clear that this is the best diner in a 5-mile radius. It’s comfortable, the staff are perennially welcoming, and the food keeps getting better. Not just better, but the menu keeps growing. Where else are gonna go to be able to choose from huevos rancheros, chocolate chip pancakes, or a full Irish breakfast(complete with black and white pudding)? It’s rare you find a diner that’s so welcoming, affordable, yet boasts such great variety. Like I said, best diner in a 5-mile radius.

Service and food was amazing, the place was packed and they still gave us 5 star attention. I had the eggs benedict and they were delicious. Also I recommend the mimosas, tasty.

This place is awesome! I’ve had consistently good service and breakfast here! The staff is friendly, the food is fast and delicious! I’ve had the breakfast tacos and the eggs benedict! The food has a little mexican flair which I’m so happy about! I can’t wait to see what else they excel at! Next stop: lunch!

I’ve been for breakfast about a half a dozen times now and have been happy each time. The food has always been fresh and prepared well. I went last week with a waffles fan. We found out the waffle batter is home made which is not always the case. Although she could not get blueberries in the waffle, they came on the waffle and were fresh. I’ve had omelets and the chila quiles a few times. The food always comes out hot. The plates look good, not sloppy. The service is very friendly and the place has a warm vibe. I did not know they are open for dinner as whenever I drive by in the evening they look closed. For me, this is a very good go-to breakfast place and my review is based on that.

OMG the service sucks, I felt I was at a concert with all the noise, I couldn’t even have a decent conversation with my girlfriend and it took for ever just to get coffee and not to mention the food, they really need help

Came here simply because Bistro Rollin next door was closed. So disappointed by the experience. Probably the worst fried calamari appetizer I’ve ever had… Burnt to hell and served on top of rotting lettuce. Everything else was almost equally unimpressive.

Good local diner. With the closing of the one by Iona, it’s good to remember that this one is convenient to New Rochelle. Not open late tho

This is a great diner. I lived in NYC for a decade and this is better than any local diner I had in the city. It’s perfect for a great traditional diner breakfast or burger. If you are expecting fine china or exquisite wraps, your expectations need to change, not this restaurant.

Classic café with a huge menu selection. Had an omelet and fresh fruit. Wife had the Pelham Salad. Both fresh ingredients with large portions. Surprisingly good coffee! Decent, not great service — but no worse than any NY restaurant. Would definitely eat here again.

Decided to treat myself to Monday breakfast and my choices were J Café or Pelham Café — down the street from each other. I thought I’d try Pelham Café as I hadn’t been in years. It was empty when I entered and I asked to eat at an outside table. My table just didn’t feel clean and looked rather beat up! The waitress who finally served me seemed annoyed. Water was served in a chipped plastic cup. Juice came in a teeny version of said cup. The food was disappointing — a blown opportunity! Don’t waste your cash.

You can smell pesticide as soon as you walk in the place, and you can taste it on the food. In the morning, they will often have the radio blaring in front(with endless ads) and hispanic music blasting in the back, so you get to listen to both at once. I would NOT bring my kids to this place. It’s a shame, because we could really use a decent diner in the area.

Pelham doesn’t really have much in the way of diner service, and sometimes you just want diner food. I wouldn’t say the food is anything special, but it’s consistently decent. I especially love being able to eat grits with my breakfast, whether breakfast tacos, stuffed french toast or an omelette. Some of my friends and I have a standing Friday morning meet up there, and the staff is very understanding and accommodating to our brood(adults AND kids).

Pleasant diner-style family eatery. I like the gyro sandwiches and the BLTs. Service is prompt and you can also get food for takeout. A nice feature is that they have newspapers to read if you’re eating at the counter by yourself or waiting to pick up takeout food.

This is not a café, it’s a diner. and I’m generally pretty ho-hum about diners, unless there is history/nostalgia(Summit Diner in NJ) or one dish that truly defines the restaurant(Lefetris in Tarrytown for Gyros or Broadway diner in Short Hills for pancakes.) Nothing really wrong with Pelham«Café» just nothing stands out. No décor, no chef special(that’s truly a chef special) and for the love of God can i find ONE restaurant in America that can make an omelet without browning the eggs?! Would much rather have seen a crunchy little breakfast place like you’d find in the village open up in this space. They could serve10 different kinds of breakfast burritos, offer complex coffees, clever sandwich combinations for lunch. A little noisy, very fun… perfect for families, couples and a place to chill in the winter when it’s snowing out. Another diner with red booths that the only thing worth ordering are turkey club sandwiches, tuna melts and burgers? Might as well go to a bar for that, at least i can get a beer.
