It doesn’t look like a nice restaurant from the outside, but believe me, the food is awesome. Its a buffet and they have everything that an Asian restaurant should have. I really was impressed, seriously !

Love coming again. While service was still top rate, the food seemed to be variations of chicken and the décor is badly worn. Hope they fix it up

It’s…OK… Food is rarely refreshed. Sometimes rubbery and luke warm. With the exception of the hibachi grill and a few seafood selections. ITSALLCHICKEN. Where’s the pork and beef dishes… In my opinion they are lucky I gave them 3 stars. The staff are kind and courteous.

The whole family likes this place. Nice people, good service. It’s a buffet so if you’re there during the rush it’s all very fresh, otherwise it’s okay.

Cheap, decent food, ok selection. Is it the best? No but at under $ 10 a person, why would you expect it to be? Perfect if you wanna fill up on the cheap and don’t want fast food.

Very good food. The manager and staff have always been extremely friendly and on top of things. They even have a carry out deal.

Our family has dined at Mings in Normal, East Peoria and now Pekin. We were initially excited to see Mings bring their quality food and friendly service to Pekin. Our first visit wasnt a great experience, mostly because we went in very late, near closing time. The manager was friendly and encouraged us to dine, be comfortbale and request any dishes we didnt see on the buffet. The floor staff exhibited a different mood. They were indifferent, cold and seemingly leering at us as we dined. Our second visit was later in the day, but not near closing time. The buffet was scantilly stocked, and some of the food seemed to have been out for a while. Staff was again indifferent, and even though they spoke in their native tongue, it was obvious they were complaining about the tip left by a customer who had just left.

Ming’s Of Pekin is a new entry into the crowded Asian food market in Pekin Illinois. Their business is located in a strip shopping area that is off the main road(Court Street). Access is handy and the parking lot can easily handle the volume of cars that use the premises. The building is relatively new and well kept. The restaurant interior is clean and looks to have been freshly redone. It will seat over 200 people. The facility is split 2⁄3 seating in the front area and 1/3in the back for steam tables and a hibachi grill. As I said Pekin has an abundance of Asian restaurants and this location has had several in the last few years. They all failed. for one reason or another. Ming’s however, should be a different story. But let’s face it we go to a buffet for the food. In this Ming’s will not disappoint. The serving tables were well stocked with a wide variety of food. There was one cold table dedicated to sushi-meshi and three others dedicated to hot Asian /American dishes. I did not try the hibachi grill and do not care for sushi so those areas are unknown. However my wife and I sampled several of the other offerings and was pleased with almost all. Total price $ 21.98 for the two meals, drinks and tax. I think the other Asian restaurants should be worried. There is a new hoankan in town and his name is Ming
