This is truly a Blast From the Past !! It’s the place to come if you are building a street rod. Jason, Jerry, Mike and Neal have been right there to help us and have given us so many choices. My man has talked about Pete & Jakes so many times so I was thrilled to come here and meet everyone!
It”s the home of the ‘California Kid’ (Pete’s rod from the movie) and Jake’s yellow street rod… Both ’34 Ford coupes, both beautiful rods ! I can’t wait for our ’37 Ford to look like these rods — so exciting!

Waited my whole life to see on of the iconic speed shops from the start of hotrods.
Made me a new man, live in KC so was shocked to find out Pete and Jakes was so close in Peculiar Mo.
One stop frame shop for early Fords.
They are repairing and modifying my 37 Ford PU and I’m amazed at what they can do with the mess I brought them.
They have all the parts in stock so things are moving along at a fast pace.
I went in today to view the progress, in and out of the shop in a week.
Picking it up soon to go for paint.

Went to Pete and Jake’s open house with the kiddo and my husband for the second year this year. It was nice time, more cars than previously seen there and we appreciated the free event. It was fun to take pictures of my son next to the same cars from the previous year when he was only 1 month old. We will look forward to the even again next year.
