We visited during a weekend in February. When we walked in there was a solo guitarist playing which created a nice ambience. We were able to do a flight of all red wine’s and grab cheese and crackers from the cooler. The staff is very friendly and suggested a local place to have dinner.

Valentine’s Day Weekend we stopped in for the chocolate & wine pairing. The chocolates were made locally and tasted amazing with the Pindar Wine. They had live music and a Basket Raffle which we happened to win! It was a great day and I highly recommend stoping in for a tasting or one of their many events.

LiL Bit of old school just kick back & enjoy life 4 a minute spot. Hidden in Long Island *Pindar Vineyards* always put me in a Relax State Of Mind. Huge area for Adults & Kids just to cool out. Adults gets there drink on, while the kids can throw a Football, Play Some Catch or just run wild throughout the fields. Nice selection of Wine, not pricey at all. Every age group here, drink indoor outdoors on da patio or on the many benches located out in the field. Pizza Truck on premises or Bring your own food & mix it w/some Fresh Farmer Veggies(Tomatoes 2 die 4) sold right across the street. Dirt is everywhere, you will become extremely dusty!

Pindar is a larger winery in the North Fork that offers live music, a huge tasting room with multiple tasting bars, large outdoor patio and seating area, and most importantly, delicious wine! This was the last stop on our wine tour so we opted to purchase two bottles instead of another tasting. You have to buy the bottles at the register and then ask for them to be opened at the tasting bar which caused a little bit of a slow down but wasn’t too bad! While the winery is large, it definitely offers a multitude of seating options so it doesn’t feel too cramped. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and enjoying our wines and the beautiful weather and views of the vines!

This winery is fun, affordable and definitely casual. The 5 tastes for $ 10 is very reasonable, and definitely helps to narrow down what bottle(s) to buy. I enjoyed their rose, but I have to say I found their wines to be a bit on the acidic side in flavor. On a Sunday, they had nice live music out on the deck, with a fun crowd that was dancing. People brought their kids and dogs, so it was a fun environment to hang out in. I wished there were more food options though, I was told that they normally have a food truck but it wasn’t there that day for whatever reason. This is a place I would definitely visit again for a good time, however I wasn’t completely in love with any of their wines.

My friend and I visited this vineyard and we had a great time. The vineyard was a bit crowded but we were able to enjoy the grounds without bumping into other people. We were part of a bus ride day trip to the Long Island North Fork area to different wineries and we saw some other tour groups as well. The weather was beautiful so we were able to enjoy the outdoor patio comfortably. The patio was huge and they had areas where you can sit in the sun or shade. We also walked around outside and took some pictures in the vineyards which was cool. The staff were cool, welcoming and answered people’s questions without rushing. Since we were part of a tour we had a choice of wines we could sample. Unsurprisingly like other reviews my favorite wine was the winter white which was pretty popular. We met some other ladies from our tour and just enjoyed our last glasses of wine until we headed to the next winery. This is definitely a place to come and chill out and enjoy at your own leisure on a beautiful sunny or fall day.

Love coming here! Tastings: $ 10 for 5 different types of wine(lengthy list). $ 2 for any single tasting Wine bottles average $ 10-$ 15. They have a few pricier bottles but for the most part this place is extremely affordable. After the tasting we hung out for a few hours. They have a wonderful spacious outdoor area. You can enjoy your bottles there or take them to-go. They sell snacks but we brought our own cheese platter for our group. I’m not sure if it’s allowed but they didn’t say anything. They also have live music. Great way to spend a summer day. I will continue to visit Pindar. I took family visiting from Florida over the weekend and they had a great time. I didn’t give them 5 stars bc they didn’t guide us through the tasting nor describe the wines we were having. They just kept pouring and walking away which kinda defeats the whole purpose of going to a winery to learn about wine. However, we still had a great time.

Great location, great facility, great wine, great cheeses and meats! It maybe boars head but it pairs really well with the wines! Highly recommended!

It’s a must for me ito pass by to this vineyard whenever I am in The North Fork area. Today is not an exception. One Saturday afternoon, at 5:30 pm we went. Normally, it closes its business at 6PM. We missed few of the things they offered like music enterntainment, tour and the wine tasting. Glad to know though that on summer Saturdays, they open late the register till 6:30 pm and the picnic area till 8PM. We still get the chance to buy few bottles for gifting(we know exactly what we are getting) and a chilled bottle, my favorite rose wine, for consuming. Most of the time, they put up a bottle or two on sale. Of course, I did not pass the opportunity to buy the bottle that is on sale. The indoor room does not allowed outside food during tasting which is situated in the middle part. On one side of the room near the entry door is the sale register with displays of their products and some accesories and paraphernalias. On the other side of the room, lots of wine related merchandise are on sale which includes refrigerate cheeses, chilled wines, crackers, etc. Two rooms are accesible for customers drinking and eating pleasure, outside food is even allowed. A picnic umbrella dining area is right pass the door of the main room. The picnic pavilion is right after it. It was so peaceful to hang out on any of these area with an exceptional vineyard view. A plus, the public is allowed to have picnic on the ground, either using the provided picnic tables or bring in your own blankets. Its worth any penny you spend in this place. Anytime of the day in this place is as good as it gets.

The first stop on our self created wine tour and certainly the best, Pindar is just a jewel in the crown of the Long Island Wine trails. A massive indoor bar and selection of wines paired with a large selection of cheeses. The staff was very knowledgeable and as a fan of whites on the sweeter end their Riesling and blends were all delicious. Their Winter White and Summer Blush are great as is pretty much the their entire white and blend list. The place has a massive outdoor deck that over looks their grape fields. They allow outside food so its great for groups who want to hang out for a while.

The Quick: Gorgeous vineyard with delicious wine and a great outdoor space to picnic(outside food is allowed!) The Details: Round up your closest group of girlfriends or perhaps a date(even your parents– anyone who likes wine in excess and a good time) and take a trip to the North fork vineyards. I’ve been to many, and although they all have their own charm, I particularly like Pindar. The wine is outstanding and the outside picnic space is great for large groups overlooking the gorgeous rows of grapes. Favorite wine? Although I’m more of a red fan, the winter white was fantastic. Very sweet but not sugary and airy like a moscato. This Winter White had a sweet and crisp refreshing flavor that paired well with cheese and crackers. Pro Tip: Trader Joes wine shop carries it! The Damage: The tasting were average prices, a few dollars for a few sips and then you can buy your own glass or bottle. Enjoy and make sure to have a designated driver! I recommend an under aged sibling, since you don’t have to be 21 to get in enjoy the view.

This is one of the most popular wineries on the North Fork. They offer a wide variety of wines, from sweet whites to reds and even sparkling wine. My favorite wine that they produce is the Mythology, however I feel that the current vintage isn’t quite as good as the one before it. The sparkling wines are pretty good, the 2010 cuvée rare is my favorite that they offer. At this point it is probably sold out. They allow you to bring your own food and you can purchase bottles for drinking on site. Some wineries either don’t allow this or the make you purchase wine by the glass. The only downside to this winery for me is the crowds. I prefer smaller wineries like Old Field Vineyards. I like less crowds and a more laid back atmosphere. Pindar is definitely worth checking out.

Stopped here while on a wine tour with a friend and I think they may be my second or third favorite winery. I loved there tatsing set up although everything was offered for a fee. I came on a bus trip so we were offered free tastings while everyone else had to pay a fee. You are also able to pay for crackers, cheese or sliced meats to accompany your tasting experience. The white winter and the isabella red wines were my favorites. The staff were friendly and helpful in offering wine options. Afterwards we went out on the sun deck which was huge and relaxing. They also had sunflowers for sale at a $ 1.00 each but you go out and cut them yourself. A few people had kids that were very whiny and cried alot-probably not a good idea to bring kids to a winery ijs.
