Food– great Service — great Atmosphere — casual, yet great View — amazing Great spot for lunch or dinner or a drink after 18 holes.

Wonderful view of the beach. The bar and lounge was nice. Tv’s everywhere, dinner menu was casual. Not very many options on the menu. The brisket sandwich was delicious. The crème brûlée dessert was perfect. Staff was great. There is a Scottish bag pipe performer? He was entertaining on the golf course. Would come here again.

Wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, pleasantly surprised with entire experience. Best ribs I’ve probably ever had. Great wine and friendly staff. Beautiful location. We will make this a regular stop from now on.

Seems they are doing some sort of remodel. They have an abbreviated menu currently. We had a few beers and nice Asian chicken salad and a shrimp cocktail which were both solid. Great views and tv screens.

Decided to eat after our round and stumbled into sticks. They had a small menu due to some kitchen issues. I went with the meatball sandwich with chips on the side. I think the chips were better but I was literally starving so I could not complain lol. I’m sure the dinner is probably good but I wasn’t around long enough. The staff is very helpful so that was nice. But overall I would only come back if I was playing a round.

Great outdoor seating area for watching golf and water interplay. The food is overpriced(it’s for tourists, after all) and mediocre. The fire pits have made this place particularly special and the staff strive to make give you a great experience.

Tried this place on our visit to Pebble Beach based on all the Unilocal reviews. Not sure that I will return for dinner. The hostess, Itzel, or something like that, was not very kind. When we walked in she acknowledged us with a hello, and then walked away. I went to ask her a question about the hours and menus between lunch and dinner and she was very short with me. The food was just okay. definitely not worth the money. I ordered the soup of the day which was absolutely disgusting. I ordered fish and chips, which were basic, my husband ordered the bbq brisket sandwich which he also said was just«okay.» Nevertheless, we had a very nice waitress, and the views and the outside seating were very nice. The only reason I would return is to try the brunch menu.

With just one day’s notice, I was able to make a prime-time dinner reservation for our party of three. We were so lucky to have Mother Nature’s cooperation — no fog rolling in to ruin our view of the sunset, no wind blowing so our casual t-shirt & shorts kept us sufficiently warm. Bottom line: this is the most spectacular place to be when the sun goes down. The setting is gorgeous: multiple long fire pits, complete with plenty of comfy seats; & sprawling views of the golf course & ocean. Our food order is a complete blur(a couple manhattans, carrot cake, signature popcorn, a burger, brisket sandwich, a fishy-tasting michelada, etc.) I vaguely remember, however, that Sticks serves a casual menu, though not a cheap one. 3 stars for food; a damn-near perfect score for the overall experience. Don’t miss the bagpiper at 5:30pm.

One of our go to casual restaurants. It’s a nice place to grab a bite to eat without having to dress up too much and not sacrifice the beauty of being in Pebble Beach!

This was a grossly disappointing experience! We had just finished golfing at the Links at Spanish Bay which was a great experience. However, the hostess at this restaurant should have been my clue to go to the Tap Room over at Pebble Beach, where I’m always treated perfectly. We asked the hostess if we could see a menu and she handed it to us rudely. I asked her if we could get a seat in the dining room by the window and she said«you can get the full menu in the bar». I didn’t want to sit in the bar. I asked her if the dining room was closed and she said no. So why try to shove me off to the bar? It was 2:45 so I knew they were still serving lunch. I decided to take the rude hostess in stride and hope to get better service from the waitstaff. While Hillary, our waitress, was nice, she was not polished at all. Kept trying to rush us. We decided on what we wanted and she took our order. I was freezing because the sun wasn’t out so I decided on tea. She brought me a mug. Ok fine… no teacups I guess. Regardless, she proceeded to take the lid off of the tiny ceramic teapot and start to make the water go cold. Couldn’t figure that out at all! Our meals arrived and were delivered by someone else. She never came back to see if we needed anything. A different person asked if we wanted dessert and who would at this point? After my Asian salad and my guys burger, we ran. Never again for this restaurant and I’ll think twice before going to Spanish Bay again.

This is for Breakfast only … Staying at Inn at Spanish Bay for Golf Trip and skipped down the path for breakfast overlooking the 1st tee and the Pacific Ocean… Gorgeous Views of the property and the ocean while we were greated promptly and sat next to nice fireplace on this cool A.M. Coffee was hot and fresh and Juice $ 5.50 a Glass fresh squeezed it better be for that price. Most entrees were $ 14.00 to $ 17.00 resort pricing but no out of line. Everything was excellent Eggs, American style as expected with delicious Applewood Bacon… Eggs Ranchero with Tortillas also delicious as was the homemade corn beef Hash and Eggs. Service swift and effecient. Delicious Breakfast wihtout any issues in spectacular Venue. Knocks off Pricey for breakfast even if at a resort.

Great experience, but also great appetizers and drinks. Tater tots: come with 3 sauces, a creamy sauce, a chipotle sauce, and catsup. Loved all three. Good portion. 5 stars Calamari: comes with fried kale, tartar and cocktail sauces, and fried lemon slices. Super good! 5 stars Martini(classic): was super smooth and served very cold. Made it just how I like it. 5 stars Will be returning.

I was looking for a Deli on Sunset Drive which closed. A nearby biker recommended a wonderful«casual» restaurant which was a 2 min bike ride away. I was not expecting this as it is part of 17 mile drive in Spanish Bay. Located on the golf resort, this is not your typical restaurant. Its right next to the course on the wateeeeer. If you sit outside they have the fire on from the logs to keep you warm and if you are against the restaurant they have heat from up top. Here is the only recommendation you need: fish tacos. For $ 17 you get 3 tacos with lots of fish in each one as well as a side of spicy beans. I’d say this was one of the best fish tacos I’ve had in California. A side note, the fog came in and all the non Californians said it got cold outside and ran inside. What a bunch of weaklings!

After standing and waiting for getting a rent a car in San Francisco(all reserved and paid online!) for 3 hours, we arrived at Pebble Beach about 4 pm. So it was too late for lunch and too early for dinner. It was cloudy(I was told that it was rare) so we could not see the sun, but the sight from the restaurant was spectacular. If the timing was right and the weather was good, I would have definitely hang outside. The service was great, and the food was very good too.

Get here before sunset and you will be rewarded with a view of the Spanish Bay Golf Course and the Pacific Ocean. A bagpipe player was on the golf course playing music when we arrived and a number of golfers were enjoying food and drink outdoors where they had fire pits and plexiglass barriers to block the wind to keep you warm. It is a wonderful place to have a drink and enjoy the view! We ate at Sticks which is their«sports bar,» adjacent to the lounge. This is our 2nd time here within the past year. The last time we were here, our main entrees took longer than usual to get to our table. The manager apologized profusely and soon we got our food. When we finished our dessert, our server told us that they had comped our entire 3 course meal. Total surprise! I guess it pays not to complain or get irate in a situation like this! This time we did not have any issues with the timing of our food. We had the calamari as an appetizer. It was a generous portion(good enough for 6 adults) and it was lightly fried and very tasty. For my main entrée, I had the Spaghetti and Meatballs which came with garlic bread and my husband had a bowl of chili. The noodles were al dente, the sauce was good and the meatballs were moist and flavorful. I had to give half of my dish to my husband to finish as I couldn’t finish it. He loved the chili. It’s more of a Texas style chili as it had no beans and had small chunks of beef, not your usual ground up meat. My sister and her friend had the fish and chips which they both liked and rest of our companions had the burger which was cooked to their specification. Sadly, we were too full to order dessert. As for drinks, a couple of our friends had beer. My husband and I had wine and my sister had a vodka tonic. She was disappointed that they did not carry Stoli. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely return for a drink at the lounge and get some appetizers and enjoy the view from our seat!

We were staying at the Inn at Spanish Bay and Sticks was walking distance from our room. Our host said we had to check out the bagpiper at sunset so off we went. Out of the dining choices at the Inn, Sticks is the most laid back. Sticks is split into 3 areas. The bar(which is expansive with panoramic views of The Links at Spanish Bay/Ocean) restaurant and patio. We chose the patio to enjoy the decent weather and amazing views. The patio is lined with long rectangular fire pit tables perched right above the golf course and the Pacific Ocean. The views alone are pristine and well worth it. Literally, the money shot! But what good is a nice place without good service? Thankfully Sticks did not disappoint. Happy, cheerful and helpful service is what we got. Our waitress was on point. This is the type of service you can expect throughout the resort. We started off with a Moscow Mule and Margarita. Both hit the spot. My Moscow Mule didn’t arrive in a copper mug but I won’t dock them for that. Lobster Fritters $ 10.00 — Sand dollar sized fritters that I couldn’t get enough of. Perfectly fried with a generous filling of Lobster. The bed of Aioli it arrived on was quickly devoured. Winner! Cali Classic Burger $ 17.00 — The burger description was everything I look for in a burger but their version was just ok. I didn’t care for their bun and the patty though big and juicy just didn’t have that flavor I crave. We killed the fries. The Snuggler $ 13.00 — Hot chocolate with Peppermint schnapps topped off with Whipped Cream. A must when enjoying the bagpiper. The bagpiper showed up and we had prime seating. Close your eyes and envision this. A drink in hand, bagpipes, fire pits, hunter green golf course and endless ocean breeze/views. This is the life. I will admit the bagpiper was cheesy but it was a nice touch to start off our romantic weekend in the Monterey area. I don’t see Sticks being a destination but if you are staying at the Inn or playing a round of golf, or even cruising the 17-Mile Drive, it’s a great place to stop. * Ask about their nightly Bagpiper Specials *3.5 stars

For a country club restaurant, this place is fairly priced and the food is fresh. Some items are not as flavorful as they could be, especially in their brunch menu, but they give large portions and it’s well presented. It’s also one of the few places to get food on the 17-mile drive. I was here for lunch once in the past and I remembered the burgers and fries being very decent. We also had a window view, which had a gorgeous frame of the golf course right outside. Today, for brunch, the eggs were good, but really not too flavorful. My corned beef hash was a little overdone, but the fingerling potatoes were amazing! For anyone going on the 17-mile drive, I recommend it. It’s not super-close to the self-park lot, but it’s a good way to energize yourself for all those stops coming up!

Came in last weekend with a friend to catch up over dinner and drinks at this sporty chic Pebble Beach lounge. With sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and the Spanish Bay Golf Links and numerous flat-panel TVs, the dining experience at Sticks is equal parts comfort and class. Oceanfront bliss, personalized service and hearty down-home comfort food await at this beautiful retreat. Fish ‘n chips are joined by 14 hour brisket and ahi tuna sashimi tacos. Weekday specials are offered like Monday’s bacon-wrapped meatloaf or Saturday’s country fried chicken & waffles. My final decision went to the lovely signature tempura-battered fish tacos. They were delicious with fresh avocado, pico de gallo, cole slaw and a creamy chili aioli. Served with a side of fiber-rich black beans, it was perfect. My friend has the behemoth Cali Classic Burger with mounds of applewood smoked bacon, avocado, jack cheese and thousand island dressing(served with shoestring fries). Drinks were all nicely blended. My nutty Scotsman(Bailey’s, Frangelico hazelnut liqueur and cream) was spot on with the right proportions of alcohol and sweeteners. Prices are in line with standard resort pricing but the visual feast of spectacular views are really priceless. Great spot to take in some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable.
