If there was the ability to give a zero that’s what I would put here. First, the cashiers and their attitudes stink. I can’t believe they would hire such unprofessional people to represent a global brand like Toys R Us. The corporate people should revoke this franchisee’s license immediately. They are devaluing the brand. Secondly, their selection is 2 to 3 years behind. Third, the store is always is in disarray. things are jumbled on the shelves and it makes it hard as a consumer to find anything. The goal of this store is to provide a quick easy experience for the consumer to purchase gifts/toys. The target audience is obviously people with the disposable income to afford such overpriced toys. Guess what? These consumers want to be treated with respect and is if their dollars matter. Well, not one additional dollar from my wallet will be spent here and neither should yours. Send a message to the Town Center and Toys R Us, Pearland deserves and demands better.

The store was intended to be a temporary Toy Store during the Christmas season, but it’s March now and the store is still there. Perhaps there are plans to make it a more permanent fixture in the Town Center landscape, but before that happens many other things need to take place. 1) Fix the lighting! It always looks like dawn or dusk in there. 2) Get real shelves. The wire shelves are cool for college kids in dorm rooms! 3) More TOYS! You are TOYS R US after all The cashiers there are very nice… I think in part because they realize they work at the«red headed stepchild» of their franchise. That being said, I do love red heads!

So happy to have at least a temporary toy store back in Pearland! This is a compact location with limited selection and quantity, and the toys are generally a bit more expensive than Target or Walmart. It still works for me because the regular store toy aisles get REALLY picked through when the black friday and holiday sales kick in — kind of disappointing when you’re trying to choose a birthday gift and the pickings are slim. I found a few items/exclusives that weren’t even available at competitors, too. Let’s hope this store will do a better/focused job at keeping up the inventory. Staff mentioned it may stay open after the holidays IF the sales bode well :)
