If I could give them no stars, I would. The cupcake was tasteless, dry, and the icing was like putting a cup of sugar and chemicals in your mouth. I tried the red velvet, and the Italian Cream… both awful. I threw them out, along with the one I bought for my husband. I truly have no idea how they have stayed open this long.

Eh, they’re okay. There are other much tastier options nearby, so check those out instead.

I love cupcakes, and after driving by there everyday taking my son to and from school I decided to stop in. When I walked in the place was empty except for a lady inking coffee at a table towards the front. The owner was very friendly and nice, the display case had hardly any cupcakes in it. They were just your everyday boring flavors. I was thinking they would have flavors you don’t see all the time. So I gave in and bought one of each. I started to have buyers remorse the minute I left! Got home and tried one of the cupcakes an it was as hard as a ROCK! I was embarrassed to tell my husband how much I spent on them! Long story short you can save money and buy cupcakes at Wal-Mart, or Kroger and pay a lot less and get fresher cupcakes that taste ten times better.

Even the name of this place is a joke. This place opened up on Broadway(518) a few minutes away from my house. Broadway is FULL of bakeries, so competition needs to be on their game. My sister and I walked into the place and it was practically empty. How are you suppose to make money with little-to-no product for display? There was a small bake case with a couple of child-like decorated cupcakes in it. None of the flavors seemed interesting and they definitely didn’t look like they were worth 3.00. Then there’s the refreshment refrigerator that had a few cake balls on a plate with plastic wrap torn open. Not exactly the best way to show off your product… but it doesn’t stop there; the cake balls were not even coated fully! You could see parts of the cake sticking out from under the thin chocolate/fondant/sticky coating. My sister and I both got 1 lousy cake ball each… just so we didn’t walk out empty handed. The cake ball was moist, but full of artificial flavoring and food coloring. Yuck. Honestly, I don’t see this place lasting very long. There are plenty of other great bakeries in Pearland with quality pastries at affordable prices ie; Cake Lady, Fairy Bakery, Rise, etc. I definitely won’t be back.

Aware of this bakery for a few months now, heard a few comments but, needed to finally check things out for myself. Only fair to say that after taste testing many many cakes and frostings for my daughters wedding the absolute best cupcakes are not these. But rather at Sugar Mama’s in Austin. Theirs are marvelous, creative flavors and I compare all since then to those. That being said, the 3 cupcakes I bought here were relatively unimaginative. I feel that when I pay over 3.00 for an average size cupcake I expect to be wowed. I bought the red velvet, white almond and dulce de leche. Plus a lemon bar. The red velvet had an overly sweet frosting that just fell off as I cut into it. The cake had no special flavor and if blindfolded I don’t think I could have told the difference from the white almond. The cake textures were identical and the almond flavor was not prominent enough. The icing for that was a basic wedding cake white icing. Certainly not worth 3.10 plus tax. The dulce de leche stood out among the 3 and is the only one I would consider buying again. I don’t mind that there were only a few choices to select but I would like to see more deluxe recipes. I was told that more flavors would be coming soon. As a final note, the lemon bar was fresh and had a good shortbread base. It cost 2.70 and was the only item that I felt worth the cost. I would like to see a descriptive menu when I walk in the door even if on a chalkboard, with prices listed. If not that, then a tag on each tray describing the item.

I am surprised by the other reviews, maybe I went on an off day. When I went in the store the place was empty— there was very few cupcakes on display, really no variety. The owner of the shop was nowhere around and when she did come she could not tell me what flavors she had available. She had to read off a board, she lacked enthusiasm. The case was for the most part empty. The cupcakes were really uninspiring, the variety came in a chocolate cupcake, a vanilla cupcake and then red velvet with 2 – 3 different frosting. I ordered a vanilla cupcake and a red velvet with a white chocolate Godiva liquor. Both cakes were extremely dense and dry. The vanilla did have a good ratio to cake and icing and looked appealing, but the red velvet specialty cupcake had an extreme amount of icing and it looked like a 5 year old child had decorated the cake. As I said when I started, it could have been an off day… I have not decided if I will try them again or not. Honestly, I have had a better cupcake from the Walmart bakery.

The cakes are overpriced and lack any originality. I ordered a small child size chocolate cake and a red velvet cake. The total was $ 100, and I was thoroughly disappointed! The chocolate cake had no flavor, dense and bland. The red velvet was decent, but I think $ 75 for a 2-layer cake is ridiculous!
