Kroger Food Stores

I was waiting at the deli for meat and next to the deli an employee was bagging rotisserie chickens. I saw a deli employee walk by and with her bare hands rip a piece of chicken off one and eat it. She looked at me and just smiled! I rarely shop here due to the fact I constantly find products with old expiration dates. Now I probably won’t ship here, I definitely won’t purchase a chicken or deli food!

This is the worst Kroger I have ever shopped at and my favorite grocery is Kroger and HEB. No sanitary wipes for the carts, dude at the meat counter is creepy and the beef cuts are poor and many items were poorly stocked and nearly sold out. I actually abandoned my half full cart and drove to the Shadow Creek location which is much better.

This location is one of three in Pearland. The selection is less than other stores. The upside is that there is a Starbucks Coffee inside. Management looks down from a balcony on to the store which is super creepy since none of them look friendly. Cashier in EXPRESS LANE is having long conversations with anyone who will listen. 7 minutes wait for 4 items. Come on. I didn’t use the self scan because I parked on the opposite side. I’m gonna drive to the other locations instead.

Good quality for the price. Produce can be hit or miss. Organic selection is decent for a large chain grocery store. Everything is usually well stocked. They are good with returns if you accidentally buy something expired.

I have a love/​hate relationship with my local Kroger’s. Love that they are closer than my preferred HEB Hate that this closer location always feels like it’s not clean. I’m finally getting used to the re-​model, and agree that it’s a nice layout with seemingly more cart room. I can find my usual preferred brands, but not always every offering in that particular brand. (i.e. They sell Gold Peak Tea, but not the GREEN TEA). The produce department is hit or miss. The deli department has a couple of faithful employees who do a great job, the turnover otherwise can make for a regretful experience. Checkout is the real culprit. They rarely have enough lines open, and almost always want you to use the self check lanes. I will keep going here because it’s close, but i don’t always enjoy it.

Good store, customer service. Great job on Remodeling. Someone the employees are ok could be better. The weaker ones need to be let go.

This Kroger used to be pretty good but has gone downhill. They recently remodeled, and it looks worse. The vegetables seem to be of poor quality. There is a Kroger over in shadow creek that is far better, so that’s where my family shops.

This is my favorite Kroger, but why did they redesign the inside of the store? It was much better before? It had an upscale feel before. Now it feels like a lower scale store. I’m worried, but for now the service is good. I still rate this store high.

I like this Kroger more than the one that is closer to my house. It just seems to be a nicer store with more selection. I just do not go here unless I am on that side of town, or need something specific that my local store does not carry.

always fresh clean. I’m the type of shopper when going to a grocery store I sniff it… L.O.L! if it smells I cant shop there!
