If i could give less than one star i would. They screwed up our reservation and shorted us a night. So they went through all of my things, throwing my laptop haphazardly into my suitcase, and put all of my belongings behind the front desk. When i returned to my room to find all of my things gone, i went to the front desk where they threatened to kick me out because i was angry. This is the most sorry excuse for customer service i have ever been subjected to. Do not stay here, they do not respect their«guests».

The accommodations were fine for this type of hotel. However, customer service was very poor. Had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to come to the front desk for the check-in. Breakfast items ran out 1 hour before scheduled time and the employees were not helpful about the matter. The pool was not available. First time in Texas, awful heat and not to have a pool to cool off.

Convenient to Houston Hobby airport as well as a few restaurants within a short drive. No issues here; what you would expect from the IHG brand!

Zero stars for poor customer service. Life is too short and there are too many other hotels to waste time being treated rudely. And lied to.

Last minute plans for a weekend trip to Galveston so we decided to stay in Pearland for more reasonable rates. Pros: Ample parking, near a Walmart which makes it easy to pick up those last minute items that you forgot to bring, very clean room, clean bathroom, comfortable beds, a/c in the room worked well, little to no outside noise once you were in the room, nice free breakfast, and friendly staff. Check in/out was quick. Cons: The room was booked for 5, but set up for 3. Had to ask for sheets, blankets, and a pillow for the sofa bed, which are typically kept in the closet in most hotels so that you don’t have to ask. Had to ask for extra towels(only 3 bath towels and washcloths in the bathroom), had to ask for pool towels, pool lighting, which was all around the fencing, was not on after dark, so the entire pool was lit only by the lights in the pool itself. It felt a bit unsafe and there was no place to turn it on. Whirlpool jets were working? or not? There was a stream of water coming out, but I’m used to whirlpools that are really moving. This one wasn’t. Also the ice machine on the second floor was not working, so we had to go down to the first floor for ice. All in all, a great clean and quiet place to stay if you don’t mind asking for everything that you normally expect to be in the room. Free breakfast, good parking, etc make it worth the $.

Very clean hotel and amazing staff. Beds are decent but not the best I’ve seen.

I travl extensively in business so I choose to stay at hotels that feel good, and I know what to expect. The HOX serves me well. the rooms are always clean, comfortable, and warm… of course also cool in the summer. This hotel was perfect. I enjoyed my room, the breakfast in the morning. The staff was very pleasant. I wish the weather had been warmer because I sure wanted to go take a dip in the pool and lay out in the sun… maybe next time. The hotel was located in a good spot with easy access off the freeway. It was close to many restaurants.

I stayed here in the middle of May ’11 for 4 nights. Like the 1st poster mentioned, a lot of construction in front of the hotel was happening when we stayed there. We drove in a sedan and was fine driving in and out of the hotel. Just go very slow and take caution when entering and exiting as the cones may be in your view of traffic. Our time was spent in Downtown and S. Houston to Galveston, and this was the perfect spot for us. This hotel is located S. of Beltway 8/Sam Houston Tollway which we totally loved. Our hotel is about 2 miles away from Wal-Mart and Wal-greens. The hotel was clean. Also, if I remember correctly, our hotel was restocked w/clean towels every weekday, and our beds were also made then. This hotel does offer free toiletries like shampoo, soap, etc, and it offers free breakfast ending 9:30A. 1 issue that we did encounter was the connecting to the hotel’s internet. We were unable to connect w/our laptops, even after numerous request to the front desk. Eventually, we just gave up on trying to connect to its internet. =/ However, for our next Houston visit, we’ll definitely keep this Holiday Inn in our minds.

Road construction out front requires a pickup or SUV to get in parking lot. Nice accommodations. Not very close to anything.
