FD’s Burgers & Wings

It’s okay. I felt like it took way too long to receive our food, especially when you factor in that we were literally the only people in there. I can’t imagine what would have happened if there were more, but I guess it’s to be expected when the cashier is also the cook, server and busboy… the food wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t great, you know? I thought it was a little over priced.

i love the chicken and waffles. its too bad not enough people know of this place.

We came for the last day of school. My husband got the «Who’s your daddy»
Burger, and it is phenomenal. The bun has a little jalapeño kick, the toppings are just awesome, and the fries were perfect. My kids got the hot dog and the chicken nuggets, and they were happy as can be. This place should be PACKED with people. It’s excellent.

I stopped in here one Friday evening after visiting my mom in Pearland –she had a flyer from this spot and I was crazy interested in oxtails and gravy. When my daughter and I got there (around 5ish) there was only one other patron in the place and I discovered the soul food is only on special days and times (bummer). So — we ordered burgers and waited for them to go. They were done fresh to order so it took a little bit (not too long). We were ok with the food — the burgers were cooked nicely and the toppings were all fresh. The fries even stayed hot on our somewhat long drive back home. I’m not regularly in the area so I can’t say I’ll be returning but if I was ever on that side of Pearland again — I’d give them another shot.

Excellent burgers. I have been here multiple times and each time has been really good. The bun is fantastic and fries are just right. Will definitely be back again.

We visited this place because it had such great reviews, but I can’t give it a great review at all. This place was merely average. I wasn’t sure if it was even open when we got there. It looks like it’s a venue for events with no events. It’s not particularly clean and the food was just blah.
I had the chicken wings with sauce and fries. The wings were fried in fish fry batter, tasted like Zataran’s. The sauce was a dollop of what tasted like McDonald’s BBQ sauce. This was unfortunate. The kids menu was just a half portion of a regular portion and there were no child cups and the tables, which weren’t clean, were too high to properly fit a high chair. The fries were disproportionate compared to that of the meal.
Did I mention that we were the only people in the restaurant on a Friday night at 6p which says a lot.
I probably won’t be back at those prices.

Extremely disappointed after reading the reviews. Came to this spot twice, the first time was horrible. Upon entering its confusing didn’t know if I was suppose to stand in line or if someone was going to greet and seat us. We obviously looked confused and none of the staff that were huddled up having a good time seemed interested in helping us or even acknowledging us. We walked out and that was that.
Second attempt. Decided to give this spot another try months later… womp womp womp. I give up, good luck…

Why haven’t we discovered this place before? My husband, daughter and I all got the small hamburgers to go and some Chicago style wings. The burgers were so delicious and the wings so crispy and flavorful! The staff was so nice. We will be back!

This is one of favorite spots. When I lived in Detroit, I went to Chicago very frequently and I know what the sauce should taste like. This place has authentic sauce. And the Italian beef is authentic as well!

If I had one critique, it would be regarding the charge for the house sauce. As I mentioned, I’ve been here several times. This time I asked for a side of sauce to dip my fries. The two young ladies explained that there is a charge and since it’s less than $ 1, I couldn’t use my credit card for the purchase. I didn’t have any cash so… I went back to my seat.
There is no verbiage on the electronic menu indicating that there is a charge or that I should request at the time order. The server didn’t ask. I was disappointed.
It won’t sTop me from going back. I will know better next time. And so will you!

I had the Little Momma Burger. It came with fries and a drink. I added bacon to my burger. 11.90 $$$$! Food was just ok. I won’t eat here again. The service was great. I was asked three times if I needed anything.

So we came here while on medic duty and figured we’d try to get a quick bite in between calls. Was hesitant when pulled up before noon on a Saturday, as there were no cars. We went inside, then we were surprised by their prices, and wondered how they have been open this long. We ordered a ½ lb burger and fries, because they don’t come with it, nor the drink. Due to no wait/​crowd, the food came out quickly. Pleasantly surprised to see how juicey the burger was with «big Daddy’s Sauce» It was a nice surprise, I’ll go back but periodically for the price lunch was for 1 person.

Really good burger and fries for a really reasonable price! I’m not in this area very often but I’m glad I stopped by! Service was fast and friendly. I’ll have to try the wings some time.

I’ve only been once and ordered the chicken & waffles which weren’t bad.
I had to get another cup because mine smelled foul. The service was really friendly so A+ there.
We were all alone the entire time, no one came in in 30 minutes. Lots & lots of TV’s and it a cool place but I wouldn’t go again with so many other choices in the area that are significantly better.
It’s missing something, it could be a great place but it’s just above OK only because the service was great, needs a change in recipes I think.

If you haven’t been to FD’s then you’re really missing out. ALL THE BURGERS ARE DELICIOUS!!! I go at least once a week to get a burger. I haven’t even ordered the wings yet, since the burgers are so good but my wife swears by the wings. Also, they make their own sauce that comes in original and spicy. I put that FD’S spicy sauce on almost everything.
The service is absolutely great as well.
A friend told me this place had good burgers and once I tasted it, I was hooked. Go to FD’S and try any burger and watch it change your life.

I go quite often and have their wings. Theirs are one of my absolute favorites! Sometimes they serve bottomless fried fish. Oh my goodness, I want to slap someone, when I eat that fish! Just so scrumptious!

I like this place although there never seems to be anyone there. On our last visit we both had the Chicago style wings and they were hot and fresh. The sauce we had on the side was very good. For $ 10 you get 4 whole wings, that are good size, and fries. I would be happier with 5 wings for that price though.
I have had their burger in the past and it was really good too. I’m not sure what’s holding them back but it’s not the food.

When you just gotta have a great burger, FD’s is the place! Awesome fries and always unbeatable, happy service.

We were craving a burger so we decided to give this place a try and we were extremely disappointed. The burger was ok at best but the bun was horrible, completely soggy and non-​ediable. The bun was heavier than the burger. I am really surprised they are still in business.

Can I just say these folks are so nice!!! Hospitality is their strong suit. We decided to check this place out because I did not want to drive to Webster for a turkey burger. I checked oùt their website and decided to give them a try. As soon as we walked in we were pleasantly surprised by the décor. I couldn’t quite figure out the theme, but I liked it. We were greeted by someone behind the counter who patiently waited for us to make a decision on what we wanted to order. He also made suggestions of things we should try. The place seems pretty clean as far as I could see. I did not check out the restrooms… saving that for another visit. They had some staff clearing tables and moving about. Our food was ready in less than 10 minutes. I ordered the turkey burger and fries. I must say that My burger was pretty good. It did not taste like a thawed patty. It could have been a plain Jenni-​O turkey patty, but I was not convinced. The fries tasted like something my Grandma would make. She makes fries by cutting up a potato and throwing them in the grease. My bf ordered the wings and waffle. He said his waffle was good, but he had a couple of concerns. He wished they would have seasoned the chicken wings. He also wished they would have given him syrup in a little cup on the side. They placed syrup packs on his plate. He thought it was a bit tacky (my words… not his). It is not a big deal, but it is what it is. The price points for our orders were reasonable. I will probably stop by tomorrow to try the soul food… just because I like the people working at this place and I bet the food will be good. Again, they were so cool and so darn nice.

This place makes a damn good burger! The bun is to die for! They must make them fresh every day.
You order as soon as you walk in and you clear your own table when you leave. The menu is difficult to read, your eyes slide right off the laminate, so give it a look before you go. They have a full bar, on apparently on Friday nights they have karaōke. The walls are cover with really cool, framed Alfred Gockel posters. Very interesting décor.
I’ve been twice now and both times there were only a couple of other tables, so not much wait time and the food came pretty quick!
This place is pretty funky, I will be back.
