In a small warehouse, but don’t judge a book by its cover. Wine is amazing! The sangria is better than you could ever ask for!!!

We participated in a «Paint and Sip» here and had a great time. It was totally not what I expected though– a small warehouse space on the 288 side of Pearland. It was a little bit of a drive for all of us but we really enjoyed the paint party and the staff was SUPER nice and obliging. My only complaint would be that we ordered a «meat and cheese» plate and we were literally handed a pack of crackers and a sealed«Boar’s Head» pack of meat and cheese. We laughed about it and joked that it was kinda like camping… The wine was OK– we found a drinkable red that we enjoyed– I believe it was the French Cabernet. They do have flights so you can try different wines to your liking. I would definitely come back for a paint party or another event but too far a drive otherwise. If I lived closer, it would definitely be a «go to» place with friends and family.

We went to the Dionisio Winery today for the wine tasting. The wine gets a 4.5 and the wine tasting experience gets a 2 at best. After going to wine tastings all over the country(New York, Washington state, California, and Texas to name a few) and Italy, I was very disappointed in the actual wine tasting experience. I have never been to a wine tasting where the same glass was used to test ALL wines without rinsing in between or using small glasses for individual wines. Also, I have NEVER been to a wine tasting where there was no complementary food such as crackers or cheese(you can choose to buy food for anywhere from $ 1.00 to $ 7.00) to cleanse the pallet in between wines; therefore, the flavor of one wine altered the next wine. On the positive side, the glass is complementary.

I like wine. Almost all varieties make me happy, be they sweet light fruit wines that could pass as a juice cocktail or full-bodied dry reds, but I know this isn’t true for everyone. The great thing about this winery is they have something for everyone, although the sweet wine drinkers out there will have more options to suit their tastes than the dry red drinkers. If you don’t know what you like, the super friendly staff will help you figure it out. You can do a flight for $ 12 or you can do a 2-oz taste for $ 2 each. We decided to try all 13 wines they had available in the 2-oz samples(splitting them each between us), just to get a good idea of what they have. My favorites were the peach chardonnay, the merlot, the pomegranate and the Viognier, which cover a pretty broad spectrum of flavors. We brought a bottle of the Viognier home with us as it was more limited in quantity. They do have snacks available, but I was less impressed by the food than the wine. We were asked if we’d like to have some Chex mix or maybe a meat and cheese tray, so we said yes to the meat and cheese tray. They handed us a pre-packaged Boar’s Head snack pack with salami and cheese in it and a mini roll of Ritz crackers… Not exactly what I had in mind, particularly for the $ 7 price tag, but whatever. My husband enjoyed it, at least. If you drink a lot of wine and plan on being a regular, they also have a wine club you can join. For a monthly fee, you’ll get two bottles of their wines($ 20-$ 25 each), along with discounts and other special perks, depending on the level you join. If I drank at home more and knew more people around here to share with so I could enjoy the benefits, I’d probably join. Final word of advice when you decide to go enjoy some local wines: Look closely when driving up, so you don’t miss it. It’s basically in an industrial park, so you might not expect a tasting room here. But, alas, it is there, and it’s definitely worth the stop!

Worth a visit! We had a great time and the owner was on site and dos our wine tasting. The wines were terrific and different. Don’t be concerned if you think your GPS is leading you astray. The turn looks like you are going into a subdivision. You aren’t. Keep going!

Great example of how a young entrepreneur can make an impact. Note: when you drive by the establishment, it may not be what you expected, but it is indeed a great place to stop. Leave your reservations in the car. The wine selection was unique and the staff was very friendly. Since they are relatively new to the place, you can see the potential. I look forward to going back in 6 months to see where they take the place. Don’t forget to look at the local artist showcased in the side room.

I’ve been a fan for a while now and I’ve seen the growth. The new place in Pearland is going to become a landmark! Jimmy is great to talk to. Stop by and check out the fruit wines(my favorite!). Sometimes there’s a frozen sangria, but it’s not regular. Can’t make it to the Winery? He’s gaining momentum in HEB! Also, in August, there’s a wine fest that is not to be missed!!!
