Prepare to get ripped off. I have the engine light on and send it to check. Five minutes test will cost you $ 93 and they said my thermostat is broken, then another $ 200 is gone with labor and cost to replace it. Only after a week, the engine light is ON AGAIN, I send it in, after 5 minutes check, they said this time is the O2 sensor and it is not the problem they fixed one week ago. Did they even identify the right cause at the beginning? The excuse they bring it up is «IT IS A OLD CAR». Besides, their cost estimates is way much higher than their competitors. Avoid this vendor completely.

I’ve brought my 2008 Honda here three times and they are always very fair, honest, and have my car back to me the same day. They’ll give you a ride if you’re close by, or give you a loaner car if they have one available. They also stand by their work. For my most recent repair, it turned out to be a defective part which they had previously replaced, so they replaced it again free of charge. I know other shops would at least charge labor for something like that. I’ll keep bringing my car here.

I had Cornerstone Automotive check out a vehicle which I had bought used. I should also share that i had both a dealer and another independent auto repair shop do similar diagnostics, and I paid for all those including the check-​up at Cornerstone. As much as they are friendly and I thought I had finally found a reliable place to have my car repaired, there were a few things in their diagnosis which sent up a red flag for me. For example, they claimed that whomever had installed my new front shocks, that the top mounting plate had a rubber pad that had been melted. They also stated my engine mounts were just fine, although in my prior experience with automobiles, I was pretty sure the engine wasn’t supposed to move around to the point that I could feel it when driving. Being the suspicious type, but really wanting my vehicle problems resolved, I took it back to the dealer and went through the service manager to ask them to review these conditions again. The dealer put it up on the lift and showed me exactly how Cornerstone had arrived at an incorrect diagnosis. The «melting» that was seen at the top of the front shock mounting plates was actually a «mastic goo» used to soften the mating of the coil spring to the plate. I could see upon personal examination it had the consistency of toothpaste and although it could have been applied in a much neater fashion than it was (not by the dealer), it simply wasn’t the case as Cornerston had reported. So why is this so bad? It is bad because Cornerstone had no clue what the material was or what it’s purpose was. The dealer then showed me the actual condition of the front motor mounts, that the rubber bushing/​cushion component had completely crumbled leaving bare metal to metal contact in supporting the engine. Once again, I had to ask myself, how could Cornerstone get something as simple as this so wrong? I suggest not using them.

I called before coming here asking for a diagnostic price. They said $ 46, which I thought was ok. As soon as I got there, they said it was $ 93 because my car was a Mercedes! Being an emergency, I had no choice but to pay. After they were done, they told me a whole bunch of problems and wanted to charge me more than $ 1K even though I only went for a coolant leak. I appreciate it but i made it clear that I just went there for the leak. Don’t try to get more money outta my pockets.
I decided to go somewhere else where I got everything fixed for half the price.

My 2002 Jeep Liberty 4×4 needed a thorough oil change, not just a quicky oil change, I dropped it off at Cornerstone and was given a ride back to my house to continue my working from home, which is a great courtesy that most auto places don’t offer. I had them check a few issues such a constant light staying on for my parking brake and my windshield wiper fluid not spraying.
I was picked back up at my home, less than five miles from the shop, in a reasonable amount of time and told that my windshield fluid tank was missing the motor and had a hole in that spot, which explains why it never worked. The most shocking announcement came that my 4×4 parts were missing! I bought this Jeep used a few years back and have put it in 4×4 mode to get out of mud, so I know the 4×4 parts were there when purchased, so my assumption is that the last auto center that I left it at for repairs (broken ball joint) either forgot to put the 4×4 parts back on *or* they took the parts. Either way, thank you to Cornerstone for pointing out that my 4×4 is no longer a 4×4! Midas had it up for an oil change/​tire rotation and never told me about the missing gear.
I trust Cornerstone, they did exactly as I asked and did not try to upsell any products or services, like Midas or the quickie places will do.

I think this place is a joke! They ran a diagnostic for a check engine light, and they «couldn’t figure out what it is». Really, aren’t you supposed to be able to fix cars? So they recommend we take it to the dealer but then they cleared the check engine light and all the history so they dealer couldn’t look at the codes or what was wrong… on top of it, we asked our money back for the diagnostic and a Manager to call us, nothing. We could never get a phone call back. Cornerstone is a joke.
