Allstate Insurance: John E. Miller

I have been with John E Miller agency for 3 years. My son has been with him over 6. We all are very impressed by the excellent service on the phone. It is so convenient and always so well done. We were with this agency for almost 25 years and now have switched to a new Allstate agent. Their first mistake was not making copies of jeweley reciepts for two rings. They only copied my wedding ring. They handed both reiceipts back to us. When the other ring was stolen we went in to make a claim and were told sorry didn’t have that ring listed on the policy and blamed us for not checking the policy. I guess we should of checked the copy machine. Last mistake was processing a post dated check for TWIA and creating an overdraft on my account. Again the owner blamed me and said I should not have sent the check in early. I told him I had sent in a postdated check for the last 5 years according to his daughter’s recommendations and had no problem. They insist they have to send the TWIA payment from thier office and to be sure it is paid on time they want the checks in their office by a certain date so they can process them in a timely manner. When I called today to find out why they processed the check I was told my fault and then the banks fault. The owners tone was beligerant at best. They apparently can do no wrong. When I said I would go to another agent his response was okay go. So much for 25 years of customer loyalty.

DO NOT use this agent under any circumstance. We moved to another state. I had to inform them three different times we moved. I finally convinced them that we had moved and they told me because we moved they were cancelling our policy immediately and they would be unable to assist in getting another policy since we no longer reside in that state. The were very short with me and offered no help. As soon as they heard I wouldn’t be lining their pockets anymore they had no desire to speak to me. Ultimately Allstate was able to get things straightened out, but this agency had no problem cancelling our insurance without any sort of assistance in making sure we were insured.
