I would rate this company at a zero if I could. It is one thing to have poor customer service or spotty workmanship, but this company is actually corrupt and criminal. I completely agree with all of the other reviews here. Ted Garcia is outrageously dishonest. He lies about issues that are not present and price gouges his customers. I made a terrible mistake by calling him for what turned out to be an electrical breaker issue. However Garcia, being the only A/C repairmen taking after hours calls, was the one I called. By the time he got done lying through his teeth, he’d made up a story about a coil leak and low freon levels that turned out to be 100% false. He also went as far as to say that my coils were the wrong size for my condenser unit. All of this was done in an attempt to sell me a brand new unit at an estimated cost of 9k. Yes, $ 9,000 to replace a perfectly good A/C unit. I thank God that our negotiations fell through before I moved forward with that work. Without going into too much detail as we still have a legal issue pending, my original A/C, the one that he claimed was on its last leg, is working fine to this day. The really sad part is that this is Texas! It is super hot and no qualified HVAC technician should be hurting for work here. The fact that he carries on like he does speaks a lot to his character, or lack thereof. It amazes me that he is able to sleep at night. I have made sure to tell all of my friends, neighbors, and coworkers to avoid this company. Even if it is midnight and he is the only one taking calls, you are better off going to a hotel and waiting until more reputable HVAC companies are available. P. S. please do not be fooled by his Google reviews. He literally stands over his customers and pressures them to write those reviews for him. If you check them out, you will see a startling difference between how his company is described here(or on Birdseye) vs. there. You can also see a lot of unrecommended reviews below(you have to click a button to open them) that were clearly written by Mr. Garcia himself. That is why I love Unilocal.You get the real deal here.

This guy is a complete liar and thief. He tries to claim issues that are not present and charge an enormous amount of money. Quotes are typically 2−3x as high as qualified HVAC contractors. This guy should be put out of business and arrested for scamming people.

BEWAREBEFOREYOULETTHISMANINYOURHOME. This man, Mr. Garcia, is a liar and extremely unprofessional. Most importantly, it’s unlikely he is bonded or insured due to his criminal record. Called him for service two months ago and was charged close to 900 for a repair and freon. Air went out again and he was called, and told me a new ac and furnace were needed at a cost of $ 12k. At my home, he received a call from an unhappy customer to whom which he argued with. This made me uncomfortable so I began to research him and found awful reviews. I told him I wanted a second opinion and he became aggressive and argumentative and very confrontational. The entire incident resulted in a police report and will be pursued in court. Needless to say, another tech was called(one with excellent reviews) and was able to fix the problem for $ 600. To boot, we were informed there was no leak that would have required freon to be added. Bottom line, the owner is a liar and a registered offender. Look him up and read his reviews before you hire him!

STOP! DONOTUSETHISCOMPANY! The owner of the company, Mr. Garcia, installed an A/C evaporator unit in our house. The unit came with a 10 year warranty. One month later, we had to relocate for work and put the house for sale. Upon inspection of the house for the new buyers, we were told the outside compressor had stopped working due to a bad wiring job done by Mr. Garcia when he installed and wired the evaporator. Due to Mr. Garcia’s incorrect wiring, the compressor unit overheated and broke beyond repair. We tried to contact Mr. Garcia to see what we could do about the issue due to his faulty wiring. When we finally got Mr. Garcia to answer his phone, he was very rude and agitated. He barely let us get a word in. He said none of the issues were his fault and we weren’t the fist people to try and blame him for this sort of thing. When we tried to explain that he was the one who set up the wiring on our 3 year old compressor, he said that he was going to void our warranty on the evaporator because we had someone else service it. We explained that no one serviced either the compressor or the evaporator they just looked at them and made recommendations, Mr. Garcia didn’t care and voided our warranty. So in closing, not only did Mr. Garcia grossly overcharge us for the newly installed evaporator unit, he incorrectly wired it to our compressor and caused it to break then refused to accept any responsibility and voided our warranty. I’m leaving this review to let consumer know about this company A Pro Air. This company does not take care of past customers. I paid A Pro Air(Mr Garcia was the repair person) over $ 4000 to repair my A/C unit and was given a one year warranty. Within three months of the repair the unit is not cooling my house as it should. I set up an appointment Mr. Garcia to come out to fix the problem. It was a 8am to 12 noon appointment. I waited over ten hours for him to arrive but he never did. Each time I called him during that time, I was told by Garcia, that he had another customer to visit first. So I reschedule for the following week because it was getting late. Garcia from A Pro Air never called or arrived on that reschedule date. Very, very unprofessional and I do not recommend this company(A Pro Air) to anyone
