Absolutely delicious chicken. Got the chicken sandwich and my fiancée got the two piece chicken meal. The sides were decent, but the chicken was the real highlight.

I’m giving this place 5 stars because their thin fried catfish plate is absolutely superb, their service is superb and their willingness and readiness to satisfy the customer is unsurpassed.
When I was working in Pearl River, I would come here every friday for their catfish plate. They give you more fish than you can eat, and you get two sides that are almost meals in and of themselves. I would usually get the catfish, extra tartar (and not once did I have to check to see if I got my extra tartar before I left because I KNEW it would be there), mashed taters and gravy and their gumbo. All for a very reasonable price.
I confess that I never did get the chicken, but I heard that it’s the best from the people I worked with. I try not to get too many fried foods during the week, and when I did, that catfish was just too damn good to pass up.
The inside is rather small, and if you get there at lunchtime, prepare to wait in a line. But know that it’s worth it! You’ll be greeted with a smile and your order will be taken and fullfilled in a short amount of time. They do have tables in there, but not too many. And there are tables outside as well, so if you want to eat there, you can do so comfortably most of the time.

Back in the day it was good, now it doesn’t seem to be that great anymore.

A true local staple… my favorite order includes a dressed roast beef poboy, fried okra and sweet tea. Great family owned business, fresh food, and good prices.

I love their chicken tenders the best but have had most of the menu. I have heard complaints about them being spicy but I really like it myself

Love the chicken tenders meal. Also the hamburger lunch special — burger, fries, brownie, & drink for about $ 6. Good fried catfish, too.
The chicken is fried perfectly, although a little spicy for me. A thousand times better than Popeye’s!

I’ll speak freely about this one as I have no intentions of going back. I ate here several times trying to give a local my business. Each time the food was over cooked and so much salt made one meal uneatable. I actually got a go box of chicken that I threw in the garbage when I tried to eat it at home. It was so salty and burnt it was dangerous to eat. I called to ask what happened and they said I was the only one to complain? I did go back a few weeks later got a smaller order just to see and sure enough too salty to eat. Maybe with the several new places opening up the place will prepare the food better but I won’t be checking them out again.
