I came here on a Saturday night. There was a live band playing soft rock music. The crowd was dancing and enjoying themselves. The owner accommodated our wishes to move to a later table after more people joined us. The snapper and the salmon dish’s were cooked perfectly. The music was a bit to loud to eat in the main dining room so we ate in the side room. This was expected due to the crowd.

Every time we visit this restaurant, we are extremely satisfied! The service is friendly and efficient. The food is plentiful and superb! I love the chicken Marsala, chicken parmigiana, manicotti, meatballs, sausage, lasagna, etc. You name it, they have it! Can’t think of a better Italian restaurant in Rockland County!

It was a last minute decision to come here tonight, and I’m glad we did. Service was very friendly and cheerful and made sure we were well taken care of. I ordered the penne vodka and it was very nice. For dessert I got a cannoli, I always do, and it was creamy and delicious! I will come back here again as the prices are reasonable and the service and food was great!

Long time customers of this fine establishment. We love the owners Joe and Carol. The servers, especially Michael and Jackie are our favorite. Sean and Mike behind the bar are always accommodating and always provide good service. Everything from the food, the service and the staff is wonderful. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Highly recommend. My favorite Italian spot in Rockland.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Joe and Joe and it turned out exactly how we wanted. We had a separate space in the back which was the perfect size for our party(about 40 people), the food was delicious, and the service was incredibly attentive. We found their menu options for large parties to be very reasonably priced, and allowed for a good amount of selection for our guests. While all the food was incredibly tasty, the chicken parmigiana was a crowd favorite, as was the delicious cake the restaurant provided for dessert. All in all, a wonderful place to host a party!

My Wife and I ate lunch at Joe & Joe, and it was horrible. The server was slow and constantly bring the wrong items. The Penne Ala Vodka with chicken was sub standard. Sauce might as well have been water and the chicken was burnt. Not to mention the pasta was under cooked. My wife had the baked manicotti, which she complained was burnt. For the outrageous prices I’d expect simple dish’s to memorable. We will never eat there again. You can get better food at the local pizza place and for a much more reasonable price. Giving 1 star is being over generous.

My family and I have eaten at Joe & Joe frequently for many years, usually on Sunday nights to avoid the larger crowds, but occasionally during the week when an early bird dinner special menu has offered a reasonably priced advantage. My wife considers this her go-to place for lunches with her friends and business colleagues, so she has become familiar with some of the servers and has been treated well by them. Service generally is well-paced and not intrusive. We’re usually pleased that special requests can be accommodated without much objection and there seems to be someone always watching to make sure that water glasses are refilled promptly and entrée dishes aren’t removed from the table before everyone at the table has finished the meal. Portions are plentiful(often enough for a take-home meal the next day) and the standard Italian fare rarely has disappointed. I especially like their parmigiana dishes(chicken, veal, eggplant) and pastas. I have seafood allergies, so I miss out on their numerous fish specials, but my family members and dining companions often are satisfied with those entrees. It’s also one of the few restaurants in our area that still offers a pre-meal service of fresh bread. The prices are in the $ 16 to $ 22 range that seems to be common for Italian family restaurants in our area. At times when we’ve had to wait to be seated, we’ve found enough TV sets in the bar area to keep us occupied. We haven’t been there on a night when they have had live entertainment, but we’ve been there when there has been a large party going on, so we know that it can become fairly loud in the main dining room during those busy times.

Had a late night dinner here only option for late dinning is to sit at the bar veal parm was burnt and then covered with a lot of sauce. Personally I didn’t like the sauce but to each there own. Soda from a bar gun had a harsh taste like there water filter may need replaced or the system is in need of cleaning.

Not my favorite at all. Inside seems old and not up to date. Ordered the hot antipasti to share and the fish seemed like it was not fully cooked. Drinks are priced right, but on the smaller side. I was really turned off by my dish and was nervous to order an entrée so we left.

I hosted a bridal shower here, what a fantastic experience. The food was fantastic, we had a brunch, there was a great selection and plenty of food! The dinning room was set up when I arrived and looked amazing, the wait staff was very accommodating. Over all it was a great success and would recommend this restaurant for a private party!

The food is fairly good, depending on what you order, but I’ve been there twice and both times the service was poor. I tried it twice just in case the waitress we had was having a bad day, but there was no difference. Some of the dishes are pretty good, such as the sausage and broccoli rabe, but other dishes that you would think were standard, like the spaghetti and meatballs, were not that great. I’m probably not going to give it a third chance, there are great Italian restaurants nearby.

Had a party there on a busy holiday, and it all went well. Food was great, and even with the crowd they took good care of us. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Not good, rude service and food that I could of made at home. Had mussels for an appetizer that were probably as old as the décor. Entrée I ordered lasagna and it was decent but I make better ones at home!

Worst place I’ve ever eaten at. Service was awful, one waitress told my fiancé that sole and tilapia were the same thing. He had ordered tilapia and waitress said it was sole but the menu said tilapia after the food was already brought out. The mussel appetizer was old, tasted like it had turned and smelled foul. Another waitress was rude and called my mother«hun» when she had a question. She had also spilled ice cream on my leg and didn’t say anything but«oh no… haha» The food couldn’t have been worse. My fiancé’s food needed seasoning, everything tasted like cardboard. Chicken parm tasted like it had just been thawed and thrown in the microwave. Pasta tasted like it had been sitting out and started to dry. The sauce was bland. And the cheesecake was dehydrated! There was a crust on the outer surface from being left out. It was grainy and tasteless. Yuck!

Joe Joe’s was wonderful! Sweet pepper pork chops were cooked to perfection and enough to take home. The tomato sauce tasted like grand moms classic recipe. Our waitress was friendly and knew the answers to our menu questions. I would go back in a heartbeat!

My wife had a fish dish that required a knife to cut. I had a pasta dish where the sauce was over bearing and the pasta over cooked. The wine glasses are extremely small — with the Pinot-Grigio being extremely heavy and sweet. The waitress was in a rush and wearing heavy doses of perfume. The music was pleasant but loud. I

A little spot of southern Italian gold in Pearl River, NY. Very nice, unpretentious atmosphere that is typical of Italian family style restaurants. You’re not going to find a full menu of fancy or unusual Italian dishes here, but simply good traditional dishes. The difference is that these dishes are made VERY well, and are of generous portions. Joe&Joe’s tomato sauce is very hearty and flavorful. There are plenty of choices for everyone, including my absolute favorite, trippa with red sauce! Our guests had pasta, which was prepared perfectly and was very flavorful. The Joe&Joe chicken special was shared by everyone, it was so good. That was tender chicken with eggplant, with mozzarella that delicious sauce. The veal rollatini marsala was a bit too peppery, but the sauce was very flavorful with a generous amount of mushrooms. We also liked the red snapper marchiare, with garlic, white wine, and basil. Service was friendly and helpful. The only glitch was the busboy trying to remove our plates before we finished the shared appetizer, but that’s minor. This is one of those restaurants where you fear that good reviews about their dishes and portions might make Joe & Joe start to cut back. I hope that’s not the case, as this is a little gem in Pearl River NY that is worth many a repeat visit.

One step in the door and you know you’ve come to the right place. The aroma from the sauce, the garlic, the sausage, and the warm bread emote the most delightful smell. The wrong time to come in? When I did. 515pm on a Saturday was near empty. But I couldn’t wait any longer to get me «some». What I missed out on was energy, a packed house, and live music — which they all have — that’s amore. But my dining companions, Nilsa and Mike, were more than adequate, they were spectacular. What I ordered was fantastic. The Chicken Country Style has boneless chicken medallions, sausage, prosciutto, potatoes, peppers, rosemary, garlic, butter, and a white wine sauce. The portion was smaller than the plate, but just beyond normal size, and I ate it all, sopping up the sauce with warm, crusty bread. Eyes rolling back good. Peroni, on draft, left to wash it down, but it was hardly necessary. Black & white photos adorn the walls, making the 2-room Italian restaurant very traditional in nature. Thumbs up? Oh yeah!

Went here with my boyfriends family for a quick dinner. All in all it was an ok place. prices were good and the portions were huge. What I ate: ~Arugula salad(HUGE– this is not a side salad, though it’s a cheap price). Good mix of greens, very light and a great way to start the meal ~Stuffed sole and stuffed shrimp. This was just ok, not bad, but kind of tasted like something I would/could get at red lobster. If I go back, I don’t think I would get it again I was a little annoyed because I noticed after the meal that they have gluten free options. I wish people would point things like that out, becuase I definitely ate gluten in this meal and definitely am paying for it now. I guess next time I will know…

I used to work here when I was in college, so my review may be a little biased, but I really do think this is the best Italian place in Rockland County in terms of the total package. Let’s start with the food. They have an extensive menu with everything ranging from salmon to wild rice stuffed chicken to wraps and cheeseburgers for their bar area. Also, their chicken parm is ridiculously amazing. Desserts are great. personal favorites are the cannolis; I think they put crack in the filling, I swear. Compared to other Italian restaurants in the county, Joe & Joe’s has a large bar area, so if you’re not in the mood to have a sit down, but you want to eat some grub and hang out with your friends you can. They have several TVs hanging all around for all of you sports fans too. Not to mention they host nights like Doo Wop and Karaōke. both which prove to be really entertaining. especially for the older folks(like my mom). This bar probably isn’t a spot you’ll find the newbies to the bar scene at(i.e. using fakes and/or under 25), which is fantastic in my opinion. Yum.
