My son and his fiancé gave a gift of a facial from Plumyumi in PTC to me for my birthday, my appointment was today. While Vivian was wonderful, right off the bat she wanted me to upgrade my facial to Anti aging… Said it would be 30.00 more, should be 45.00 but she was giving me a discount, so I said OK. It was GREAT! I have never had a facial before and did not really know what to expect. It was far more than I thought it would be. But when I went to checked out, I was thinking it would be 30.00 more plus the tip, minus the gift certificate… I was WRONG… I owed 50.00 more, I asked why 50.00 when I was told the upgrade would be 30.00 by Vivian… she said the extra was the products Vivian used. I didn’t understand there to be other charges other than the 30.00 Vivian spoke of. This is not about the money; it’s about being able to go have a facial or a massage done and not be charged for items that can’t be accounted for. I still do not know what the other 20.00 was for(maybe a build in tip, just not sure)… Before leaving I took a flyer showing all their pricing for their services… nowhere in the pricing guide did it speak of extra charges for service products? I gave a 15.00 tip and I wondering if I should have… I’m thinking that if they charge folks like this, they have lost a great customer in me, as well as any of my friends and my future daughter in law. With what happened with me today, I could not recommend Plumyumi to anyone, and that’s a shame… I would give Vivian’s facial 5 stars… but the way Plumyumi handled the pricing and check out…0 stars. Everything should be up front in a personal service business like this, when your clients can’t trust your company’s pricing, it states a lot about your company.
