We love Happy China. Reasonable prices. Grood service and so far not one bad experience to date.
I would highly recommended this restaurant to dine in or take out.

I felt the need to write this review because I have been a fan of Happy China for years and I was very surprised to see these negative reviews. No, it’s not gourmet Chinese food. However, I have always had consistently good food from here, always large portions, and they’re always friendly. Also, I don’t know what happened to the person who got dry lo mein, but I always order lo mein with my meal and it’s never been dry before, and this is with me ordering it multiple times over a matter of a few years. All in all, I don’t think you should be deterred by these other bad reviews, because my friends and I have always really enjoyed Happy China. Prices are good, service is pretty quick, and the food always tastes great to me.

We’ve followed this food since they ran a similar place in Fayetteville — the food is excellent and the owners are very nice, friendly folks. A family serving families. We enjoy the sampler platter, pork fried rice and spare rib combos!

If you like the Chinese food served at a nursing home this place is for you. Made fresh (that is the second star) with very few ingredients and even less flavor. The only thing you can say about the Mongolian Beef is that it was beef. No flavor, no spice and the fried rice was brown and had 4 pieces of carrot and 2 peas.

This is very good Chinese food, probably the best in town. Their steamed dumplings are delicious. The shrimps in their dishes are juicy and tasty. I’ve always gotten a good attitude from the staff as well.

Very subpar chinese food. Expectations are low to begin with when you go to a place like this, but the actual food was pretty bland. Flavorless, ‘frozen meal’ kind of taste. It also didn’t sit well with my stomach if you know what I mean. Only saving grace is the price. I think it was something like 5 bucks for lunch and the portions were ok. Pass.

This is our favorite Chinese takeout in town. The portions are huge, the owners are great, and the food is delicious. The combination plates even include a drink, imagine dinner for under $ 8.00 with a portion that almost guarantees a leftover.

Funny, didn’t remember going here before, but guess so since I wrote about it. What stood out about this visit… ordered and prepared fresh so that was good. Had to wait a few minutes. But still, the lomein was dry and did not seem to have much chicken or veggies in it at all, maybe because we got the individual order that just came in the little white box instead of a plastic dish.
The Happy Family, or Chef’s special… forget which, but the one with shrimp, chicken, and beef was good in that the veggies were fresh and the shrimps large and multiple of them, but it was just kind of bland. I ordered it because it was one that had a pepper next to it indicating a little spice and it had none. The Kung Pao Chicken also just had a little kick, not what I was hoping for. I’m always afraid to say, make it medium spicy because I that varies so much from one asian place to another.
To me a big measure of the chinese place is how much you look forward to eating the leftovers the next day. Not so much on this order.

My husband and I picked up takeout from Happy China, and tossed the entire order in the trash after trying a few bites. We tried the fried rice, the sesame chicken, and the crab rangoon wantons. It was all pretty terrible. We will not return again.
